Housekeeping was amazing. My family and I stayed in a room where the refrigerator was very small. Only big enough for the alcoholic drinks and snacks the hotel had placed in there. We had to make a lot of trips to the ice machine for our drinks. There were no microwave. The last time I stayed in the hotel in a different room I had a big refrigerator and microwave. We couldn’t control the room temperature so it was constantly hot. The lobby was a lot cooler than the rooms. It wasn’t the best hotel I’ve stayed in.

Pleasant. Hotel clean. Staff friendly. Recommendations: Improve lighting over sink and desk and beds. Provide a microwave and safe in room. Refrigerator is too, too small for guest use, put in larger refrigerator. Put in dresser for clothes storage.

The Mercure Hotel Yokosuka entire staff treated me with the courtesy and attention you expect from a fine hotel. The staff was all so friendly and helpful. No matter what I needed, your staff took care of me and seemed glad to do it. It was like being taken care of by your family -- family that you actually get along with. In addition to having staff that treated me so well, the room and the amenities were lovely. The breakfast buffet had tremendous variety. I will also let my travel agent know what superior service you provide your guests. Even If you like your sleep, get up for breakfast. Really really good. And of course, the overall hospitality is impeccable. Rooms are small, no drawers, but normal size for Japan. Except the bathroom which is very big for Japan. Room temperature is controllable, which you need in summer. Great location. Clean and airy. I stayed in a renovated room on the high floors. Front desk speaks English. Good for base access = 7 min walk from side gate and 13 min walk from main gate. I will stay here again. Also if you need yen off base I recommend seven eleven atm. Cost is 108 yen per 10000 yen or about $1 per $100 for debit card. That's a great rate.

Check-in and check-out was so easy. Very close to the Navy base, Verny Park, restaurants, and shopping. We slept so good in our hotel room which was soooo clean with fresh smelling sheets, towels, robes, etc. and stocked with coffee, tea and bathroom amenities such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes. A lot of great things to say about our stay at Mercure Hotel!
