« Superb location!! »

Location, Location, Location!! The location is superb, in front of Shioiri Station, looking down the Yokosuka Naval Base from the room's windows. The room is clean but a bit old. Staffs are kind and friendly. The bus stop is not far so it is very convenient as a base moving around the Yokosuka City.

The staff was courteous. The room was amazing. I couldn't believe all of the perks that came with my stay. I think my favorite feature was the Handy Phone. I was able to telework, call family in the states, and keep up with everything in one simple and place. Thank you all so much. I hope you are around for many, many years.

« Wonderful room; hospitality in the restaurant and lounge lacking »

Our room at Mercure Yokosuka was fantastic: clean, and comfortable. The restaurant personnel refused our wishing to sit at window tables by moving us and then placing "Reserved" placards on the tables AFTER moving us. The lounge personnel insisted on our sitting at tables, while there were more comfortable chairs and tables - in addition, the server didn't understand our cocktail order, even though we pointed to vodka and orange juice (screwdriver) as our choice. We indicated that we would like to have another, then were given our check, and ignored. We were leisure travelers, and I realize business travelers may be the norm at this hotel. However, with the large US naval facility, it would be nice to have more English language TV stations, NOT just BBC and CNN. The front desk staff was exceptional! Thank you.

The room was small (by American standards) but comfortable. The staff was pleasant, respectful and always ready to assist me. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! Close to the train station and the Navy Base, the perfect experience for working in the Navy base. Thank you. Respectfully, Dan H.

Rooms were incredibly small with little storage for many suitcases, the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable leaving my wife and I with back/neck pain. Good location and friendly staff, parking could be easier to use.

Very nice accommodations. My only complaint is the wi-fi network; I could not connect at all. When I travel I do a lot of work and need connectivity and it does not need to be complicated to connect. Give me a simple password, which the hotel did, but it needs to connect regardless of device - Macbook Pro. I deleted network settings on MBPro and diagnostics as well but it would not connect. I knew my way around the city so I knew where to go for connectivity to get things done. So no real biggy for a 1 night stay. If not for the wi-fi I would have given a 10. It's really a 9.5~9.8. Again, for a 1 night stay and no wi-fi not a biggy but maybe for someone staying longer and do not know their way around. The hotel was very nice and the rooms have space on both sides of the beds. Whereas, in most hotels in Japan the beds are pushed against the walls which makes it challenging when spouse needs to get up during the night.

We enjoyed our stay. The service is always great. The air conditioning is not consistent and some vents were not working. The bar upstairs closed at 9:30, which seems early so we were not able to use our welcome drink vouchers
