My room was ready as soon as I arrived and it was spotlessly clean and had everything that I needed. The food at breakfast and dinner was tasty and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant manager was very welcoming. The only things that have led to me marking down were that with two pools it would have been nice if one was allocated to adults only as it was very loud and difficult to relax when the pool was full of children. Also, breakfast was quite chaotic. Children were running around screaming and although I was told by two servers that breakfast would continue until 11am things were cleared away from 10:30. Overall I did have a lovely stay and would probably return at a less busy time.

« Lovely large room »

The room was lovely, large, clean and comfortable bed. The daily service of the room was very good. Most of the staff on reception were friendly however the woman who seemed to be the supervisor on breakfast was quite rude, other customers said the same to us. The pool water was far too warm to refresh in with temperatures of 39 degrees. The staff in the gin bar were great, enjoyed the lovely cocktails and complimentary nibbles.

Perfect hotel. You'll feel pampered. Room was well above our expectations and you'll always feel special. The swimming pool is a nice addition for the kids. Complimentary shuttle bus to the main attractions adds to the overall rating. We'll come back.

Terrible just does not describe it enough. Issues from the moment we checked in until we decided to leave earlier than planned. 1st: you promote on your hotel website that there is an operating shuttle to the beach. Unfortunately the checkin time is 3pm and your shuttles (only 2) leaves at 9.30am and 2pm... 2nd: with no option to use your beach access, we decide to use your swimming pool. Again, you promote that complimentary towels will be available. Unfortunately we arrived at the swimming pool and no towels were available, explained that we had to wait only 5 minutes... towels were given to us only after more than 45 minutes, after calling for the management to have some explanation. Obviously for hygiene reason I would not sit on a swminnig pool chair or bed without a towel, so you left me and my husband standing there waiting without making any use of the swimming pool either. Cherry on top, your wifi does not work in the swimming pool area at all... pity that you mention (again) that the wifi is available in all common areas and guest rooms... shall I continue? We booked a full board stay. I have in my profile that I cannot eat gluten since I am celiac and when I arrived for dinner at the buffet restaurant nobody knew what i was talking about, giving me contraddicting information of what I could safely eat or not. I had to explainto 3 different chefs the issue and only afterlong discussion I was allowed to eat something. I had also checked if I could pay a difference and go to another of the hotel restaurant where they serve a la carte, but i was denied the option. Nevertheless, I was sick the whole night... Informed the restaurant in the morning of the situation no options was given. so I skipped breakfast and asked to checkout immedately. No apologies were offered. It ruined completely our Eid holiday.

It was bad experience for me .. first the check in was late until 3:45 pm .. second I request a birthday cake I call the hotel 2 times before arriving to confirm that I Have occasion (birthday) .. even when I arrived.. I request the cake at 6 PM .. but no one brings the cake .. until 7 PM I went again to the reception and he say really sorry I will take care of that ,, Plus we request to change to room because it was without hose for the bathroom.. the reception say it was option you need to request after that they find the new room after long time.. plus we call the 4 times reception and hotel service and no one is answered .. for me it was really bad experience in Sofitel

We arrived late at night and after getting to our room we found the bathroom had not been cleaned properly and there was no hot water available. After calling down we were sent an engineer who re-sent the water temperature but hot water was not available for a further hour. No real apology was provided. The water issue happened twice more during our 5 day stay which was not acceptable and after complaining we were told that something would be done to recompense us however nothing happened. On check-out we had to remind the hotel that we were not happy and they did make a gesture and a small amount was taken off our bill but this was not in line with the annoyance and disappointment that we experienced. The rooms were also very small (even our King suite) and furniture and decoration aged and worn. Overall unfortunately disappointing and we won't be revisiting.

We faced water supply issues in wash room on the day of check out. We called recepction twice to address the issue but it went unheard. I understand the sudden technical issue but it could have managed in better way rather keeping guest uncertain. We could have been moved to other room to take shower but we didnt find any efforts from team.

We had a three night stopover. We stayed in a Club Room. It was Ramadan but the hotel still catered for us in different parts of the hotel. The afternoon tea was lovely ad the drinks and nibbles at night were very good too. The staff of the club room were great. Shane really looked after us well. The hotel room was lovely with a great view of the sea. Many choices at breakfast.

I have booked a room with a sea view to celebrate with my boyfriend out anniversary, i have requested a smoking room in a high floor. We reached the hotel at 3:15 and we had to wait 46 minutes only to check in. I was surprised that the room was non smoking and I was in the 4th floor and the TV wasn’t working. I have stayed in several 5 stars hotels and normally they do something special for you when you are celebrating a special occasion but this is one of my worst stays and the service in the hotel is very poor and slow!
