« Worst Accor Hotel experience ever! »

It was horrible. There is no other way to describe it. When I arrived, I was given a room with wet carpet- the smell of mold (it was a hot summer day) was pungent, and the smell of urine in the toilet was unbearable. I went back to the front desk and asked to change the room. The front desk staff was perfectly polite, professional, and friendly. The issue was with the hotel manager- it is shocking to me that someone like this is given authority to manage. He came out running of his office, yelling that it is a perfect room and that the carpet was not wet. I told him that my socks were soaking wet as soon as i stepped on the ground. He also told me that the urine smell was the smell of the cleaning product. He then told the front desk staff to give me the smallest available room in the hotel, as this is what i paid for. He said it in such a disrespectful and rude manner that i intervened and told him not to talk to me in such a tone. He then started shouting that i shouldnt complain about the room and that the carpet was not wet- i insisted that it is and that it does not correspond with my standards of a reasonable hotel room. He kept shouting at me that I had to remind him that I was a paying customer, and that he should watch his tone. He then told me to vacate the room and come back downstairs. I asked if they could not bring the key to the new room to me, so that i could avoid going back and forth to the front desk. He answered with a dismissive hand movement and by shouting "no, you move- you come back down." I was shocked.

You booked a single room and request a room with Air Condition but we didn't have such room free and that was the reason we put you in an upgrade Family room with AC. About the wet teppisch we give you right becuase on the same day we washed the teppisch but about the urine smell we still tell you that it was the smell of cleaning product .My manager try to explain you the situation but you stay in your word that the smell is from urine . He may talk to you with a loud speach but never shout to you ( I ask from the other staff who was in the same time there). Anyhow we change your room and give you a nice and twin room. As the new room was on the other buliding you have to come to reception and take the other elvator to this room. « A few days in Frankfurt »

The location and first impressions of the hotel were great - the decor in the reception is gorgeous! The staff were friendly and helpful too which is always a bonus. That said, I was a tiny bit disappointed with the quality of the room and breakfast area. I recently stayed at other Ibis Styles in Paris and Milan and the decor was much more modern and the breakfast much more varied. While these are different hotels, they’re also both ‘Styles’ standard so I did expect a bit more the the Styles in Frankfurt. I’d stay at this hotel again, but if you have anything on your to do list, I’d add ‘spruce up the rooms’ to be in line with the other hotels...

Your front end staff were just great. Nene who checked us in early was very pleasant and helpful in telling us about the surrounding area and how to get there. Lena was amazing. She suggested the tours which were the best and booked us accordingly. She always had a smile on her face and has a great sense of humor. Both Lena and Nene are a credit to Ibis be and should be commended. Your location is perfect within walking distance to most places.

My room was far from the elevator and the Main Street. The room was very clean. I need a room was very quiet and clean. It was good to do meditation, write something or reading. I had good rest there and enjoyed a lot! The place was near Museums and river!!!!! Only a pity there was not kettle to make a hot tea inside the room.

Room was not cleaned properly: spots on walls, night stand sticky. The guy at reseption gave us a room from the 2nd floor inner alley view of the dumpster (or something, not nice). We said no way. He gave us a room from 5th floor with the same view. At this point it got a bit loud and no more miss nice-finnish tourist and finally we got a room 3rd floor street view. He claimed it had no AC, unlike the other room he offerd. The 3rd floor room DID have an AC. After that things got pretty good. Exept for a strange guy knocking at our door in the evening not willing to tell Who he was, but the nice lady at reseption took care of that. The first reseption guy with an attitude we didn't see again.

I’m not expecting very much for the price and even less when I entered the district where the hotel was situated I was shocked more than surprised as I entered a very nice clean lobby where I was greeted with a smile and a warm hello how can we help you the polite friendly staff brightened up my day after a long trip they were able to help me with all my needs again my room was not only perfectly clean bright and pleasant with an AC giving me a nice cool atmosphere having spent a pleasant night I proceeded again to be surprised by the breakfast room again clean with an excellent selection of fresh meat and bread and everything else that you would expect of a hotel of a much higher standard , I would like to point out that I stay in hotels at least twice a month on both sides of the Atlantic and fights price this is by far the best hotel motel I have stayed at in the last 10 years,

« Lovely hotel and great staff, but the room itself way below ibis styles standards »

Great hotel in terms of common areas, breakfast room etc and great staff working there. But my room (#46) was not at all up to Ibis styles standards, not the pictures on the Accor booking site. The bathroom was really good, but the rest of the room was extremely dated, had a very odd furniture layout (huge desk across the middle of the room) with wires and cables over the floor on one side (a bit dangerous to walk over) and there was even a rubbish bin with another hotel’s name on it!). It did not match the description nor the photos on the booking site, not the standard you would expect from ibis. I told reception, but it was unfortunately not possible to change rooms. It was ok in the end, but you should be careful with expectations - don’t sell an Ibis styles room and then give the customer something else!

A satisfactory stay, as I am accustomed to with this chain. My only problem was that one day my room was not cleaned, even though I was out of the room for several hours and other rooms on my floor were serviced. A simple human error, I think, and not a reason to avoid this hotel.
