Basic hotel but perfect for our first visit to Bordeaux. So close to rail and tram services. Only in hotel for sleep and breakfast so it was very satisfactory.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel room small, but clean. OK for a very short stay, & very close to the train station. The welcome pack consisted of one bottle of water & a small packet of haribo, could have been better.

« A really good value central city centre room, ideal for visitors to Bordeaux. »

Whilst the room was not large, it had everything needed, including a good shower and bath. Breakfast was very good, considering the price of the room - lots of fresh breads, fresh orange juice, ham, cheese, cake, etc. Staff friendly. Coffee, teas and croissants freely available in reception.

The room is tiny, with a very small window giving no natural light at all. For this price it's unacceptable. Breakfast is in a room that looks like a basement by how dark and poor it looks.

Location of this hotel is great. Very close to main station and also the stop for the bus shuttle from the airport. Very near a tram stop for ease of access to the centre - but also about 15 minute walk to the centre and a pleasant walk by the river Garonne. Rooms nicely decorated, but a little compact - but with a good size shower room (ours was shower only which we prefer). Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast as OK but a little below the standards we have experienced in other Ibis Styles and Ibis hotels.

Ibis Styles St Jean is in a convenient location. Very short walk from the station, near to tram stop and near to stop for bus from airport. It's about a 15 minute walk into the centre of Bordeaux - but a nice walk along the river bank. Hotel in good decorative condition. Our room (a twin) was a little compact, but clean and well maintained and the bathroom was a good size with walk in shower (shame the shower fixing was broken). Inclusive breakfast was OK, not to the standard of other Ibis Styles we have stayed at and it was strange to use cups for the cereal and fruit salad. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A large Ibis Styles hotel, very close to the station. Room was quite small but clean and had a good shower in the en-suite bathroom. Buffet breakfast was superb and the breakfast room was clean and bright. Unfortunately the room key-card failed to work on all three days I stayed and as the room was at the far end of the hotel, it necessitated a return to reception every day. the man on reception admitted it was his fault and was very apologetic.

On each day, the room key-card failed to work and as our room was at the farthest end of the hotel, it was a nuisance going back to reception every evening after trying to get into the room.

The hotel was dirty and tired on the outside, dated and worn on the inside. Our twin room was very small, with a dirty shower. I have stayed in many Accor hotels and this one was well below all the others.

The only good thing about the hotel was the very friendly staff. The rooms were small , hotel had no charisma compared to other 3 star accord hotel this was dismal.
