« Lovely hotel and friendly staff »

Spent our first 5 days in Hanoi at the Pullman. After small hiccup with room we enjoyed our time in a lovely suite on 11th floor with excellent views over Hanoi. The area around the pool could do with some work, missing brollys etc but in general it was a nice relaxing area even with the hustle and bustle of the streets below. The restaurant is a bit hit or miss depending on chef serving you as was either really good or....not! The Exec Lounge is served by the excellent Ha who really made for a great ambassador for Pullman and made for a pleasant stay.

This was my first experience at Pullman and it would have been a great experience if it wasn't for the comments the staff made after i checked out of the hotel. I checked out at 14:00 and decided wait in the lobby until my flight leaves at 20:00. I was sitting comfortably in the sofa watching netflix in the lobby and all of the sudden a staff member came up to me and asked if I could sit up more straight in the sofa. I asked him what the problem was and he just said i had to sit up more straight in the sofa. A few hours later another staff member asks if i am tired. to which i reply, yes i am quite tired and she suggests I go sit by the pool. Which i declined because then I would get all sweaty and sticky even before i get on the airplane. When I declined to sit by the pool, she too asked me to sit up more straight in the sofa. I have never had this experience waiting in a lobby at any hotel and It really made me feel unwelcome. It seemed like since i checked out and paid I am not valued as a customer anymore.

I had a excellent stay at the Pullman, the staff and facilities where exactly what I have come to expect from the Accor Group. I was delighted to see that Accor are continuing with the Planet 21 initiative by replacing the plastic combs with wooden ones. However there are still too many one use plastics in the bathroom. The packaging for the complimentary toothbrushes, razor, cotton buds etc could be replaced with paper/cardboard items as could the toothbrushes and cotton buds be wood or organic bamboo. The staff were superb, always there with a smile and greeting and always ready to help.

My stays at the Pullman Hanoi mainly revolve around the lounge on the 10th Floor, where I have breakfast and evening drinks, and often use the computer and printer facilities while drinking a cappuccino. The attention and friendliness of the lounge staff - Trang, Van and new staff Binh and Chinh, as well as recently Mr Moon - make the lounge experience very enjoyable. This friendliness also extends to the bellboys in the lobby. The only criticism is that the plumbing and drainage in some of the hotel room bathrooms needs fixing.

thank you for the hospitality of Pullman Hanoi team during our stay, we were happy with the connecting room upgrades, kids stay and eat free, shuttle minibus to old quarter, car arrangement to airport, but there's still room for improvement: 1. I can see there's some miscommunication between reception and exec lounge supervisor, so that I had a dualism confusing response via email during my request of room arrangement, better pool the responsibility to exec lounge team to handle it. 2. Child policy: i hope you would consider extend the child age restriction to at least two max. 12 years old for free breakfast, in Asian country, a family with 2 kids is common, with change of this policy i believe your hotel's will got a better segmentation as a better family friendly hotel, not just a business hotel. 3. Welcome drink: upon check in i was given a welcome drink card for 1 person "member only", you should at least give it to 2 adults staying in same room. Fortunately i was given another one at executive lounge, I am sure this little change will make your loyal guest feel happy. i hope your property will reach a new milestone especially when the new railway and metro station operating soon. truly deeply thanks to Ms. Anh, Ms. Minh and teams at front line for the hospitality.

This is my second time in Hanoi for business trip. Frankly, customer service that I had experienced so far in Vietnam (both Hanoi and HCMC), being in hotels, restaurants and cafe, was not very good ones. Pullman Hanoi makes me have different opinion for Vietnamese service level.
