« Pleasant Stay »

We were a family of 3 with a 6 yr old. The room was enough for our use for 5 nights in HongKong. We particularly liked the location as it was near enough the Sai Ying Pun MTR station. The trams or ding dings passed by the hotel and the stops were just nearby. Going towards Queen Street and Queen Street Central were more shops and restaurants. Beside the hotel was the Queen Street Cooked Food Market which was open until past midnight. THere were branches of Wellcome supermarket, 7 11, Mannings and U-Select just walking distance from the hotel. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. There were just basic amenities like toiletries, slippers, towels, in room safe and coffee/tea making facility, hair blower. These were enough for our use during the whole duration of our stay. We did not avail of hotel breakfast as we wanted to explore the restaurants around the area. Check in and out was a breeze since I paid at check in. THere was a complimentary shuttle bus from Hong Kong Station to the hotel. It came at 20 minute intervals. Going home, we also availed of the free shuttle bus from the hotel to HK station, then we took the Airport Express after In-Town check in. It was a breeze for us as we did not have any last minute visit to any nearby attractions. A Starbucks was located at the ground floor of Ibis. The hotel lobby was at the 5th floor.

Hi, the room was clean and reasonable size for 1 person. I picked the harbouuview and it was a fantastic view. The downpoint was the noise coming out from the mini-bar fridge.

The room was big than the usual size since we are 3 this time. But it needs to be refurbished as the room looks old. Toiletries too needs to be improved. No conditioner, no shower cap, vanity kits etc. Just provided soap and shampoo placed on a dispenser. This is not my first time at this hotel. I check-in here every time I am at HK but lower floors and good for 2. Was disappointed to think I bragged about how nice the hotel is to my cousin and best friend prior our trip.

This was my second trip to Hong Kong. Both times, I booked Ibis Central & Sheung Wan Hotel. Location is great, rooms are very clean, and staff is very helpful. Everybody does his/her best to assist customers. Everybody knows that Hong Kong is very expensive and apartments/hotel rooms are tiny. However, this hotel arranged their rooms in the way to satisfy customers: there is a small refrigerator, teapot, cups, complimentary water, tea and coffee. Bathroom and shower well maintained. Cleaning crew is very professional. Checking in process was very smooth and young lady remembered me from the last time I stayed there in October. I would recommend this hotel and I will stay here if I visit Hong Kong again.

Excellent hotel location. Close to anything. Small but cozy room, clean, great view of Victoria harbor and Kowloon peninsula. Excellent amenities (complimentary water, pen, tea, slippers, dental kits). Excellent selection and quality of breakfast food. Very friendly and helping staff though not very proficient in English. On a con side we would appreciate having a clock in the room (on the nightstand or a wall). Positioning of the wooden storage cabinets is a little weird as you cannot put any bags larger than a small backpack because they are the next to each other in the corner leaving only a narrow gap in between. The TV programming could benefit from greater selection of English-speaking channels. The bed itself is on firmer side. Regardless of these little nit picking overall experience was outstanding.

« Was quite good overall. Disappointed that staff could not arrange more things eg show at theatre, also not much information in reception about what to do. »

My room maid was excellent - she was very good re DND, was friendly and professional and cleaned the room very well. I did not like the red glass in the window. Often had to wait a long time for lifts - but they were always working.
