« Our stay at the Ibis Bangkok Siam »

This was a two night stay we made as a stop over on a trip we were making from New Zealand to Europe. We were very happy with the accommodation and the food that was provided for breakfast was very good. I was not happy that the hotel would not accept my debit card that we have used several times in other hotels, including those in the Accor group, for travel expenses. The hotel asked if I could use another credit card and I used my usual New Zealand card. However, I have just checked my debit card transactions and I see that the hotel has actually taken funds from the debit card they told me they would not accept, as well as the credit card. So they have made me pay twice and this will need to be fixed.

It appeared that noise disturbance was the main concern during your visit and considerably affected your satisfaction. Although the hotel remind the guests about guide line to follow upon check in, the hotel cannot predict the every guests behavior. I was indeed concerned about noisy neighbor, kindly be informed that the hotel provide a 24/7 reception service. aircon was too hot. staff would not believe. manager did not even talk to me. only the bell man PRASERT R. was the now who helped me and assured the front office that i was telling the truth. aircon is broken, rm1016 was hot then they try to transfer me to 1021, the air was blowing well but the no Cold air coming out. very poor quality hotel.

An alternative to be upgrade to the next door Mercure hotel was offered with complimentary access to the pool for a total of 4 nights stay. Location is good as it is next to National Stadium BTS. Easily located via Airport Rail and change to BTS. Very accessible to nearby shopping areas and other stations too. Staff from front counter, housekeeping and restaurant are all very friendly and helpful. Bed is comfortable and room is cosy. Wifi and tv channels are ok too. Breakfast is nice and they tries to change variety daily. There are some minor dislikes about the shower area as it is quite small and floor will get slippery while showering. Hope something can be done to prevent accidents from happening. Hot water will change to slightly cold water while showering too. Overall quite happy with the stay and will book again next time.

It was my 4th time to stay at Ibis Siam and i have to say, the hotel, room, facilities, security and service remain excellent! However, this recent stay, the Sunday breakfast felt lacking as compared to my last stay in October 2018. The choices were fewer and I find it less palatable. Specifically the pad thai, it was a dissapointment. I was hoping that since it is a national dish, it would have been atleast at par with the one i ate from the streets, but it was far from that. The bacon usually served with eggs is now replaced with ham. For a THB400++with very limited choices, I find it overpriced. Overall, it was a good stay. I would still recommend staying here but maybe not avail the breakfast anymore. For same amount, you can have a more satisfactory and filling breakfast from the numerous eateries/ hotels around. Mcdonalds is less than 50 steps away. Very fast service when i asked assistance in operating the tv. Again, service at Ibis is superb! I got my slice of birthday cake again as a pleasant surprise. Very gracious in extending early checkin. Checkout was hassle free and taxi assistance was very fast. 7/11 at the lobby is always a great life saver! I will be back!

The Hotel is at an excellent location, situated just next to the BTS - National Stadium. With all the amenities nearby, there is even a 7-11 convenience store on the hotel premises. MBK, Siam Discovery, Sim Center, Siam Paragon are all within walking distance from the hotel. The room and sheets was clean. Bed was comfortable. Room amenities were adequate. A suggestion to have extra pillows for the rooms.

It would be better if the room lighting would be brighter and lift pls improve with better ventilation, there's either fan or air conditioner inside the lift. Even the lobby air conditioner also not powerful enough, can feel the heat.
