Hotel was very comfortable and staff were really friendly and helpful, although it was quite away from centre of town. Beds a bit on the small side and tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been nice.

One of our pre-booked rooms was not available, so we were given an upgraded one which we were happy about. We had to wait about 45 minutes for our rooms to be available on arrival. Other than this initial difficulty, we had a very nice stay, enjoying the facilities and breakfasts. I booked online, and also by telephone to ensure we had adjoining rooms.

Great experience. We decided to stay a night and 2 days in this hotel with family. The hotel is pretty new (3 years), and has a lot of accommodations. The pool is heated, and even when the weather is not fully sunny, the pool is really enjoyable. A suggestion: propose more hot snacks/meals at the restaurant. There are not a lot of restaurants nearby, and it would be more attractive to add some hot meals at the menu. When we arrived (at +/- 2PM) no more soups were available. Prices were OK fore some meals (e.g. soups) but a bit high for others (pizzas, etc.). Nevertheless, our stay was very pleasant, and the staff really available to answer our needs/questions. I was staying overnight , on an extended road trip. Location ideal if you needed to stay near main coastal motorway, but do not want the confusion of a major city or town on route. This hotel best suited to those wanting a seaside location(more than one night in transit) Family friendly. Modern hotel with a nice outdoor swimming pool. Some distance from centre of Town, which looked very good. The rooms are functional rather than comfortable, in a holiday sense. Bathroom tiny but again functional and well equipped..Hotel ideal for a business, come brief holiday trip with the family.

Having stayed in Many Accor hotels, our overall experience was disappointing. We were surprised ,to have to pay 8 Euro for car parking in the hotel car park, despite the hotel being situated a good kilometer outside the town and sea front. The reception staff were offhand, and gave a could not care less attitude. We were allocated an accessible room, which was spacious but bland. This was not the room type requested.

Check-in without any problems. Room functional, modern and clean. Breakfast buffet with a good choice of foods. Pool and terras a little chaotic. Tables not cleaned off. Lounge chairs broken. The bar in the evening hopelessly understaffed. Long waiting times to get served. Check-out without any problems. Staff was friendly and helpfull.

« The hotel is great but like in many IBIS now it is no longer possible to open windows. »

Not being able to open the windows is a problem for people who are claustrophobic. We were authorized to open the window but we could not close it again and were asked to sign a document saying that any theft would be how responsibility. This is a bit too far fetched. Each customer should have a key to his own window.

The hotel is near the beach and the coast tram line. It is in a very nice woodland area ( which has an excellent chippy!) The staff are professional, courteous and professional. Rooms seem more spacious that the usual Ibis with excellent views. Beds, pillows and wifi are excellent. Breakfast is good. Within easy reach of Ostend and Blankenberg. De Haan, which is 2 stops on the tram is very nice.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Hotel quiet with nice views of woods and countryside. Hotel staff professional, courteous and friendly. Breakfast good. Ideal for a couple of nights stay if you want to explore this part of the coast. About 10 minutes walk through woods from nearest tram stop-De Haan Zwarte Kiezel. Trams run every 10 minutes until about 8pm. Less frequently later until just before 1am.. Excellent chip shop after you come out of the woods, just a few minutes before hotel.

Stayed in many Accor hotels over the years , club member. Including the Novotel Suite in Nancy a few days before. In comparison the Ibis in Da Haan felt very basic and worn and not good value considering we paid more than for the Nancy Novotel rooms ! The best feature was probably the breakfast buffet which was well stocked with lots of options and the beds were comfortable.

enjoyable stay- beds comfortable window in our room almost impossible to open ( velux type) with a very deep ledge which meant you had to climb on a chair to reach the handle .......and quite hazardous for elderly visitor. The housekeeping supervisor was extremely helpful and efficient as were her staff.

We had a good time, we've stayed here before. It's a nice hotel set in a quiet location but not too far from the coast tram which we use a lot. We did have one or two problems this time though. Firstly, we had to move room because the WiFi did not work in our first room. The staff were very helpful in arranging the move, it's just a bit annoying having to move everything. Secondly, when we eat in the hotel one evening my wife ordered soup. She asked for some bread as none had been served with the soup, but there was none available, so she had soup on its own. The reason we were given was because the bread in the kitchen was still frozen. Thirdly, on our last day (we stayed 3 nights) no new towels had been left in our room. We requested some towels at reception, but because there were only 2 staff working who were concentrating on the bar and serving food, we had to wait over 2 hours for the towels and we had wanted showers when we came in after a long day. The last time we stayed here we had the same problem, waiting for ages for our food when the hotel was busy and there weren't enough staff. To be fair, the staff were as helpful as they could be and it was a case of them being under a lot of pressure when the hotel was busy (it was a public holiday). When I checked out I mentioned that problem and got an apology, and when I requested it I got one night's parking refunded. The breakfast is great, this is a nice hotel (we'll be back), and the staff are helpful.....I just feel that during the evenings when you know it's busy, have more than 2 staff on duty. The 'Coast' beer was very nice too!
