Staff were very helpful. Room was clean. Website was misleading about restaurant facilities. The hotel is some distance from the Beach or the Thame Park and access to Public transport is restricted.

« Excellent for short stay »

We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist, check in was quick and easy, took 2 minutes. The room was pretty spatious for a basic ibis hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, a nice selection of bread, croissants, you can bake your own ibis waffles. There were granola's, fresh fruit, really good choice. Check-out as quick as check in, so if you are looking to stay in De Panne, I recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel near the town center friendly staff.Good breakfast with plenty of choice.,Only thing wrong is the price of car park 20 euro per night. Have stayed here before will do again Would recommend good value.

the reception staff are very friendly and helpful The air con/ heating was not very effective - we could not tell if it was working The parking is expensive - especially if we were staying for a few days - it should be free

« Slightly expensie and dissapointing »

The stay was just to break the journey from Calais to Holland. The room was small, the beds were small and the mattress moved on top of the bed. In fact I had to move it back to position twice in the night. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was fine. But all in all disappointing for the money

« Could have been better and cheaper »

· The hotel is in a good location close to the city centre and beach, also easy to reach from the main roads. It's on a corner so that also helps with finding it. The rooms are quite large and good apart from the beds (see what's not good). The common areas are nice and light with plenty of space, the breakfast is also fairly good (also see what's not good). The staff were all excellent and very helpful. · The beds are appalling. The first night I kept waking up sweating, it wasn't until the morning I realised the bed consists of a cushion (like you'd have on a caravan, that converts between a bed and a sofa) with what I can only describe as a thin plastic baby mattress on top - not good at all. The breakfast is fairly good, but the only cooked thing is eggs, and at 15 Euros it's too much for what you get. Should be around 10 Euros, or less. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it had underground parking for my motorbike, however they wanted 20 Euros per night (40 Euros for my 40 hour stay), and insisted it would take up a whole car bay. I checked at 8pm and the car park was less than half full. It should be about 5 Euros a night for a bike, that's what I paid in Rimini centre. In the end I parked between bays on the pavement for free, and luckily suffered no problems.

We have stayed in the ibis De Panne several times and have always been satisfied. The staff are professional and helpful. The Hotel is clean and welcoming. The rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast offers a good selection and is plentiful. Situated within walking distance of the beach.

« Perfect for overnight stop! Parking charges crazy! »

Hotel was in a good location, very clean and tidy. Friendly staff and a nice bar area. Room was clean tidy and fresh. Bathroom was perfect size with nice shower. Only real downside is the €20 per night parking charge. I only found out about this or arrival and considering the room was only €60 this seemed a little excessive!! I’d suggest giving your guests plenty of warning they may need to take out a bank loan to park in your car park! Without this would have been 5*

« Expected better for the price »

The staff were friendly and reception area nice but the bathroom in our room wasn’t very clean and the shower flooded. No tea/coffee making facilities so had to go to bar and pay for one which, given the price paid for the room, was disappointing. We paid for breakfast which was also very disappointing. Quality and variety very poor.

We enjoyed the experience of staying in Ibis De panne and liked the pleasant room. However, we have two criticisms: we thought the price of the breakfast was rather high for what was available and the staff were not very friendly; we thought the cost of using the hotel's car park was too high.
