Check in process was a bit slow due to room was not ready on time. Eventhough, check in counter staff was very helpful but more friendly approach by them are more encouraged. Food served during breakfast buffet was very limited in variety and ran out of mug for coffee almost everyday (somethink to think about). Room were nice eventhough some of the appliances were not working, such as toilet blind remote control, hot water for shower intermittent, missing emergency torchlight, tv remote battery power low and suprisingly no iron and iron board was provided (hotel policy?). Parking for hotel guest was good in term of accessibility and no charge. Overall experience staying at Novotel Melaka was good. Thank you.

We were only there for 2 nights but everything was clean staff were helpful. My only thing is with the bill you take holding fee then you take another fee then you eventually put back the other. I feel you should just take the room amount up front then do the extras on the day of departure.

overall, we are happy with the stay. some improvements for your consideration. (1) problem with the access card. probably it is super sensitive to handphone but it is very troublesome when you need to get down to reception to update your card. also happened that it can be use at the lift but cannot be use to access the room (2) validation of parking ticket. the purchase of the pass should be possible at reception (3) breakfast was satisfying and not charging the kids was most welcome. you need to improve on some minor details e.g. you need to have salted egg with porridge, not very hygienic to serve your butter like that, jem is still OK. thank you.

« Fantastic stay with great hospitality »

Prior to check-in, I received a courteous call from Mr.Shan (Manager), informing about my stay and he was very polite and tactful in handling the call. From the moment I arrived, all checkin was ready and we were in the room in less than 15 minutes. Almost all the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room were great and they were quick in responding to any needs from my family. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling there.

« The abundance of group tours affect the quality of stay and ambience and overall satisfaction »

I understand the need to attract business and tour groups seems to be the way to fill up room occupancy quickly. However, I would encourage the segregation of tour group customers from regular customers; perhaps by dedicating certain floors to tour groups and higher floors to business travelers. I was unlucky to stay on the same floor as some student groups -- the constant running around and speaking in loud voices was bad enough to affect my rest.

Firstly it was a morning which is normally busy for guest check-out and sad to say there is only 1 staff at the counter to service customer. AS I was a silver accor member so I thought I could do my check-out at the priority counter. I was standing there for a while (at least looking at the lady at the counter check-out 2 guests) then I went over to ask her. To my surprise she told me that the counter there is no check-out facilities. She never even bother to tell me that when I was waiting at the counter which to me this is a bad service render to priority member. As there is no clear sign to indicate that there is no check-out at the counter. Lastly, time taking to check-out is so slow as there is only this lady and this lady is putting on a "bad" face as guess she is the only lady working at that time. Where are all the staff hiding ? Its 8.15am in the morning and the hotel should be expecting guest to check-out during these peak hours. Next, luckily my room was at level 15 hence I didnt heard any noise. However, my customer whom is staying at the same hotel was given level 12 and he told me in the middle of the night at 3am there was blast of music bass which he was waken up. I believe this experience I ever did feedback to the hotel too as my last few stays was also in lower level which can hear noise (like bass) in the middle of the night at 2-3am. Lastly, the hotel facilities need to be maintained. The tray in the shower facilities was in bad condition, the shower head was also spray water in weird direction. Novotel Melaka need to maintain all the facilities in the hotel in order to ensure guest have a present stay.

Staff are very friendly. The room's facilities are comfy in general. The canape is very comfy. Breakfast on Saturday morning was nice. The view over the pool is nice. I love the big windows in the room. Room for improvement: Hair dryer's quality can be better. The air is too hot. For breakfast on Sunday morning, when we arrived at 10am+, there is no more tea. And the food was no longer availalbe from 10.40 on ward...Was a bit disappointed. As the breakfast on weekend is available till 11.00am. Overall, great stay, work on the improvement, you can be better. thank you.

I WAS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED. THIS IS NOT THE STANDARD I SHOULD BE GETTING FROM A HOTEL UNDER NOVOTEL WING. I'VE STAYED AT 6 OTHERS NOVOTEL AND THIS IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE WORST. 1. TOOK ME 30+ MINUTES JUST TO CHECK IN AT 2015 HOURS. LOUSY STAFF THAT IS UNABLE TO COUNT CORRECTLY HOW MUCH I SHOULD BE CHARGED FOR DEPOSIT. 3+1 COUNTERS BUT ONLY 1 OPERATING COUNTER. 2. NO TOILET PAPER, NO FACE TOWEL, NO HAND TOWEL AND THE KING BED IS THE SIZE OF A QUEEN BED? UNACCEPTABLE. 3. BREAKFAST AT 0830 HOURS, DRINKS WERE NOT REFILLED -MILK,ORANGE & MANGO. ONLY WHITE WATER? COFFEE MACHINE IS OUT OF COFFEE, & NO MUGS AVAILABLE TO BE USED. 4. MOST TABLES ARE UNCLEANED, UNWIPED. THERE WERE NO CUTLERIES NOR NAPKIN TO BE USED. ARE WE SUPPOSED TO USE OUR HANDS TO EAT? WENT TO GET HELP FROM YOUR STAFF, TWICE, SAME ANSWER WERE GIVEN - NOT ENOUGH STAFF. UNACCEPTABLE.
