My only complaint is in regards to the room wasn't so clean. The headboard was very greasy and the shower a little unsanitary.

« The best part about this hotel is the wonderful staff. Everyone was so lovely to me and tried their very best to understand and communicate in English. I need to learn more Portuguese. ☺️ »

The staff were so helpful. I stayed there for 3 weeks. Each day I felt like Coming home to friends. I do feel that the hotel could be cleaner. The elevator floor was always dirty as was the hotel revolving doors. My room was given only a quick clean each day. I was in 2 rooms. The second was cleaner. I believe my sheets were changed only once a week. It should be every 3 or 4 days, especially when the weather was so hot. Maybe the maids have too many rooms to clean. They were always friendly.

« Very adequate accomodation with friendly staff. Good given the lower cost than nearby luxury hotel. »

Friendly staff offering good initial welcome and whenever meeting during 5 night stay. Comfortable clean room and I liked being able to open the window - but didn't like darkened windows since room already dark with only side-lighting. Restaurant lacking atmosphere but enjoyed excellent evening meals outside on the patio and good service from bar staff - all better than luxury hotel across the road ! Serious problem with breakfasts however, since they seem unable to keep counter supplied with basics. Additionally very few healthy options for anyone who wants something without high sugar or fat content. Overall I would stay again if the breakfast options were improved.

One of the worst Novotel I’ve already stayed. Do not recommend it nor I’ll not stay there anymore. Noisy room, internally due to the old (no maintenance) air con and externally due to the outside air conditioning system of the hotel or from the Íbis Hotel as the window faced the other hotel. Low quality breakfast compared to the Novotel average standard, worst than a regular Mercure. Very not satisfied this time.

I was assigned a handicapped room without being told why? The facilities are quite convenient for me. Secondly, can’t even get hold of the iron and ironing board despite constantly requesting from counter, they even suggest that I bring my clothes next door to Ibis to iron. By the way, I have the same problem two year ago when staying there.

The two guys on the reception by the time I checked in were totally not prepared. They laugh at the client's face, complain, and give no instructions. Breakfast was ok but inferior when compared to Novotel Botafogo.

« Fair price for a fair stay »

I was in Rio for business reasons, for two weeks that I spent commuting to office every day, with the expection of the weekend when I was able to have a quick look to this beautyful city. Novotel Parque Olimpico fit my need to be close to the office, and I also got a really good deal in terms of price for my stay. I enjoyed the pool where I had a short swim every morning. The breakfast buffet is very rich and with good quality.

Great staff and facilities. Amazing Breakfast buffet. The breakfast team, the receptionists and the life guard were always eager to help. However, when I arrived in my suite, there was hair in the bathroom floor. The glass in the bathroom was also blurry. During my stay, only one day the room was hoovered and the laundry bag was not replaced.

« Good stay except problem with Sofa Bed and bad presistent smell in room »

We stayed 14 nights. The first 2 nights my son had uncomfortable nights on the hard sofa bed that had nearly no cushioning neither a mattress to soften. We requested a single bed mattress, and the General Manager Mr Guilherme MEYHOFER kindly offered a single bed mattress on top of the sofa bed. This worked fine for the next 6 nights but unfortunately the hotel staff entered our room, without informing us or planning ahead, and despite we had our "not to disturb" sign on. The sad point was that the staff removed the mattress and did NOT even bother to make the sofa bed sheets, cover etc. We strongly complained to the front desk the night we arrived, late, and I had to go to the bed linen store myself, with the night cleaner, (not even a assigned housekeeper) and find numerous cushioning layers to allow my son to sleep the remaining nights. No response was received from the hotel staff.
