I was places in the business suite away from the main hotel. The building is in dire need of a refurb as you have done in the hotel lobby and bar area, the room was hot, dark, fusty and some guests are not refraining from smoking, perhaps the alarms need to be updated. I was moved to a better room but it still needed more ventilation .

The room was fine - I was in Wolverhampton for business, so just needed somewhere to sleep and didn't expect any more. The dinner service was very good with a cheery and chatty member of staff that waited the tables. Good humoured and helpful.

Room very hot. Unable sleep in the bed. If windows opened to let in some air (at night) traffic noise was so bad. Still unable to sleep. Asked at reception if I could borrow a fan. Told very sorry but none available. Stayed at this hotel several times before. But in the business centre. Has always been a nice place to stay whilst working in the area..... but unfortunately I will not be returning if the weather is good.

« Bland rooms, not too welcoming and very much a negative experience »

The shower was luke warm if not cold, the rooms was dreary, as were the corridors; the staff (at the bar) was sharp (‘the bar is closed for ten minutes, come back then, cause I’ve got cash out) so there was no drink at the bar 2145 on Wednesday night (England had just played) and when I spoke to the reception she seemed suprised the bar war shut. I won’t be coming back again.

I’ve been staying at this hotel for years. It’s really gone downhill. I took my 5 year old daughter for a swim. Changing rooms were filthy and floor flooded. We got in the pool, and a piece of chewing gum floating in the water stuck to my chest hairs. I had to go to the lobby to borrow scissors to cut the chewing gum out. I asked to see the manager, but this did not happen. Otherwise, I found the food very poor compared to previous stays. Dinner was extremely expensive. The shaving mirror in room 52 comes off the wall.

Arrived for a 2 day stay to be greeted by a very friendly receptionist. All staff throughout our stay were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and and contained everything that was needed. The food was lovely and always freshly cooked. The only complaint I can make is the leisure complex it really needs updating.

Staff were nice and accommodating, however, outside of the lobby, restaurant and bar the hotel was awful, it smelt, had no air conditioning, had grubby walls, stained carpets it is in desperate need of updating. The food was poor, breakfast limited, gym was a treadmill and a fan, and swimming pool was dirty and rubbish was strewn over the Carpark.

As a gold member I was not treated to any of my benefits in this hotel. The description on the hotel did say that the hotel had air conditioning, my room did not and the corridors had a musky smell, so no air conditioning either. The fire alarm went off at 05h45, we were evacuated and remained outside the hotel till the Fire Department arrived, this was as told by the staff a fault on the system and it had now been bypassed, surely this is not a good idea as it is a safety device and should never be bypassed, I do not believe it had been repaired that day as the alarm did go off again that evening. The room is VERY tired ad in dire need of an upgrade.

Food was below standard, clearly the same oil is used for fish, chips and everything else as everything tasted the same. The radiators were on full in the room, the corridors smelt. I wasn't impressed that because there was a party in the restaurant, guests had to wait later to eat. Staff were friendly and welcoming, good location
