The hotel caters extremely well to families. Lots of activities for the children from play areas, to the pool, tennis courts, train rides, craft classes and mini master chef. The grounds are well maintained and the service was exceptional. We were in a 2 x double bed room, which was clean with good facilities but a little small.

We had a treat time at the Fairmont. The interconnecting rooms were a fab way of linking spaces with friends, and the buffet breakfast is amazing. Views over the mountains were pretty and the hotel babysitter gave us a night to have a relaxing adults dinner at Embers restaurant with friends.

We have been there many times, only gets better. Since our last stay in 2017, many changes, was beautiful to walk around and see. Our breakfast seemed even better this time around, coffee machine was great.

We love returning to The Fairmont every year, the staff are so welcoming, the food is lovely and the views are breathtaking. Unfortunately there was a fire alarm on the afternoon of our arrival and then a very rude awakening when another one happened in the early hours. Ubika spa was again delightful. We will be back!

Not as pleasant but ok. First, our bathroom door lock was broken, and my daughter walks in while I was showing. Second, when we got to the indoor pool, there was no more towel, we ended up using our small towel, then when we walk back to our room, around 3pm, room service hasn't attended our room yet, and all the towel was already used from previous day, so we ended up using a dirty one, hoping the kids didn't ended up using one of our dirty ones. But the staff are friendly, and kids enjoyed the games.

I was disappointed in the quality of the food offered at the Yule Fest buffet and the breakfast buffet. Food was not nice tasting, sloppy and expensive for what is was. They ran out of cutlery and the staff were running around as if they have never been that busy before but it is the same every year. Breakfast - there was not enough staff cooking eggs. considering its a very busy period as it is every year you would think they would cater for that. Danishes were soggy both mornings. Bacon sitting in a pool of oil. Hash Browns not crispy and undercooked. I arrived at Jamisons 9.15am to try and miss the rush I got the previous morning only to have my fried eggs I ordered take 40 minutes. by this time it was 9.55am. I got up to get myself a coffee from the self serve coffee machine and they were already cleaning them. You would think being school holidays they would have breakfast until 10.30am, the same as it is on the weekends. We got one card with 2 welcome drinks on arrival when we should have got 2 cards with 4 drinks as I booked and paid for a room with 2 adults and 2 children. The welcome drinks were very limited. Only alcoholic drinks were beer and wine which my husband and I don't drink. Where I stayed in Sofitel Singapore there was a list of welcome drinks you could choose from. I also only received 2 water bottles in my room when I should have received 4. The next morning there was none and I had to ask for them and was only given 2 as well. We really didn't want to leave the hotel all weekend as my family who was with us have a new born baby. We tried to book Embers restaurant for our second night dinner but was booked out even for an early dinner. We then thought we could just have a light meal at the sublime cafe but once again NO. They stop serving food at 5pm. (how ridiculous) And once again being a busy period you would think they would accommodate that as well. Even open the ballroom/function room. Not rocket science. So we had to go out in the freezing cold with a newborn baby and go to the local bowling club. I have just spent 2 weeks in accor hotels in south east asia and the breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and service was amazing. Rooms beautifully presented and amazingly friendly staff. This will be the 4th year and the 8th year for my other family members who came with us. Unfortunately it's the same problems year after year and for that reason we won't be returning next year. The only positive thing about it is the lovely Santa Claus who is the same every year.

The staff at the hotel were all amazing, very attentive, pleasant, kind and friendly. Our room was very clean and tidy and the house-keeping staff very aproachable and accommodating. We dinned at Embers in the evening and the food was AMAZING. We loved sitting close to the fireplace and my kids loved cooking marshmellows after dinner. What a great idea. We haven't stayed at the Resort before during School Holidays, but was overwhelmed at the number of activities available for families and children. It was fantastic to see. We are planning our next trip back to the resort. Thank you again for making your stay extremely memorable.

Each staff we had an encounter with was friendly & helpful. Our experience was amazing from check in to check out. The only downer was we had to ask housekeeping for an extra towel n toiletries. We booked for 4 people but was only given towels & toiletries for 3 people.

Fairmont is a good place for the family. It’s too bad the owners haven’t updated entire resort. It has so much potential to be great. There needs to be more variety of places to eat , possible Asian & middle eastern food. Our beds were only made but bathroom was not cleaned and floor needed to be vacuumed properly. Blankets were way too old and not cozy . My daughter refused to be covered by them saying they were too rough. We were not told that we would be charged when watching any movies in our room and so when we were charged sixty something dollars for watching Shazam once I queried this with front desk and they halved the amount to be paid. It would be nice if this was made more obvious since a message on TV not enough when you are surrounded by 4 kids who are playing with remote and watching TV. Staff were amazing and very helpful but the cleaners needed to do a much better job when cleaning rooms. Would be great if there was another Jacuzi just for kids since having kids and adults sharing one is not appropriate . The carpet the kids play area most definitely needs to be replaced . Smelt like mould which is toxic especially for children. The play area needs to be updated and thoroughly cleaned . The tennis courts should be separated - balls kept going to other side and ruining other people games. Should be an entire area dedicated to arts and crafts that is available all day and every day for kids . If I owned the resort I would turn it into a fun land aimed at children and change with the activities according with the seasons. I would include an indoor ice skating ring, indoor roller skating ring and dodgem cars. I would install a proper balling alley . The owners are lucky in that they have the land to add all these features and if they doo it would be the number one place to be all year round . Would be like a little wonderland down under!!! But besides all that my kids enjoyed it and hoping to return to a refurbished place!!

We also love your constructive ideas and suggestions and thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. It has been shared with all department heads for their review. You will be pleased to know that our owner is currently building an indoor ice skating rink due for completion in 2021! We are also continuing to renovate the resort as it approached 30 years last year. This includes brand new beds and pillows and carpets placed throughout all accommodaiton rooms, new furniture in our resturants and public spaces are continued to be upgraded so your comments are appreciated and on track. We are continually adding features to our resort - our market is split equally between couples and families, so our owner has added a new Day Spa, the basketball court and outdoor gym has recently been opened as well as the Fairmont Adventure Park aimed at older kids and adults alike. So our owner is very committed to both upgrading the existing facilities and constantly adding new activities to surprise and delght our many returning guests. We stayed for 3 nights with our two children. It was s very busy time in the hotel but there was extra staff on especially during breakfast time. It still felt cramped. The pool was amazing. The kids had fun with the train rides etc. concierge guys did an amazing job as always.

« We had a wonderful stay. »

Myself, my daughter and two grandchildren had an amazing time. We have taken away lifelong memories. We loved the fact that the resort was so child friendly. The only possible improvement I can think of would be the addition of an indoor heated pool specifically for young children, as my grandchildren love to swim. We felt the existing indoor heated pool was perfect for adults, but not for young children to play in. Another suggestion would be to alter the daily breakfast menu slightly each day as a point of difference when people are staying more than a few nights. Apart from these minor things, our stay was incredible and I would certainly recommend your resort to my friends.

We are only continuing to add to these including the recent upgrading of our outdoor swimming pool area, the addition of a Sauna to the indoor pool area, our brand new outdoor basketball court and outdoor gym facilities, the new Adventure Park ropes course and our amazing new world class Day Spa, Ubika, which opened late last year! The great news is there's still more to come, we are now relocating our indoor gym to our new Spa building as well commencing work on an ice skating rink! Our absolute focus here at the Fairmont is to ensure we continue to surprise and delight our many returning guests.
