Check in was satisfactory, the room was clean and pleasant although very hot and the air-conditioning like most hotels in China is not controlled at the discretion of the guest! The main restaurant service was appalling, slow and the food quality was below average.

« Great experience staying in Novotel Zheng Zhou »

Was given a free upgrade to an executive suite due to long waiting time for processing. Extremely satisfied with the service provided as the staff are friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was that every button in the room gave out a small static shock when you press them which can be annoying at times, but not a big concern to me. Overall, would consider staying here again due to the great service and clean hotel.

Helpful when arriving into hotel especially the doorman, staff in lobby restaurant is friendly, checking in taking longer time than expected, it seemed lots of paper works and documents copies required.

Front desk staff are helpful as usual. Expecially Emily and Gloria! But I can't give the same praise to the facilities and rooms. There were blood stains on the toilet wall, mold in the shower... it was really unpleasent. And although I didnt have this problem this time, most of the time i found myself in a room which the windows cannot be properly shut... I can tell that they've tried to fix it multiple times by the many holes they've drilled on the frame but the right solution should be changing the window frame completely... i mean there are only so many holes you can drill into it,...

The stay was nice, the rooms are very nice (as expected from Novotel), service outstanding. However since this was a business trip, the lack of a business center and support for travel diminishes the overall rating.

The service was perfect!! My son and I stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights during the mid autumn festival holidays and the Executive Lounge was not open during this period but the bar lounge on the ground floor compensated with very good service. Of course the ambience is not like the Executive Lounge but the service attitude was good. What ruined this good experience is that the air con in the room doesn't work. The hotel brought a freestanding air con but the room was still very hot and sleeping was very uncomfortable.

« Nice room except the shower has very low pressure »

The room is nice and comfortable. The free upgrade and the lounge were nice. The breakfast is ok for the price. I felt the reception and the staff were all courteous and friendly. The only gripe is about the shower. The water pressure for the hot water is pathetic. It almost has no pressure to use it comfortably.
