« Murder mystery night away »

Greeted warmly at reception and everything about murder mystery dinner, leisure facilities and breakfast explained. Room was fine except that it was under a stairway so could hear people going up and down them late at night and early in the morning. Our corridor we was staying on also smelt strongly of paint but luckily we couldn’t smell it in our room. Meal and breakfast both nice but nothing special. Pool was nice and quiet on the Friday afternoon although noticed a lot of children going in for swimming lessons on the Saturday morning so probably need to check with reception when there are on. Changing room basic but have lockers provided and reception give you towels.

« Poor and unapologetic service »

Awful from the point of check in. I was given a room card, swiped myself in, only to be angrily greeted with "excuse me" as someone was already in the room. I returned to reception to report this embarrassing error of someone already being in the room, only to be told "well there shouldn't be." I was then given another room card, no offer of help to my room despite travelling alone with heavy bags and having already been up and down the stairs once. I had already checked that there would be hot drink facilities in the room, but no coffee upon arrival. There was a noise like a windy extractor fan going off all night too. I am beyond disappointment with the service and the stay. At over £100 per night room only, I expected far more.

Plenty of parking, two pubs close by and fish & chip shop. Spa facilities good. I was disappointed to see that the Hotel was still using one use plastic cups on their water dispenser.

Friendly helpful staff providing excellent service. Lovely breakfast and substantial bar snacks throughout the day. Pool was quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing. Location was perfect for our engagements in Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge. This was our 4th stay at this hotel.
