« Lovely Hotel , Excellent location »

I came with a friend on a shopping trip . The hotel is lovely. The reception staff are so professional & very helpful. The bar staff was ok but seemed to be under pressure due to a wedding. We are planning another weekend trip to come back with our husbands.

I expected much better for a 4 star, the rooms are small and the decor is tired. More could perhaps be done to minimise outside noise. On a positive, the room and bathroom was clean and the bed comfy - although the pillows were hard.

Waited 30 minutes in a que to check in as only 2 staff members working..was 3 but he left to go home as we arrived. Paid £20 for parking..this price should of been discounted by hotel. Thin walls next door up all night screaming and shouting..hardly slept. Glad to get home. In short it cost me £160 including parking for one noisey night in a hotel in Manchester. Never again.

small room, drizzle of a shower (would've done better to pour a bottle of water over my head) and paper thin walls. had a noise complaint when the telly was on volume 7 so they turned all our power off. apart from that was fine. good location just needs a major update as bathroom was barely in working use

Room was fine. Fortunately it wasn't too hot as window only opened a little bit and no aircon. Mattress was comfortable but pillows on the hard side. Sometimes long wait for lift.

Convenient location, the room was tidy and staff were friendly. The parking turned out to be more expensive than anticipated, £27 for up to 24 hours in the NCP which is below Mercure hotel but was informed that the parking parking below would be £20 for 24 hours so that was slightly frustration. Overall good price for the hotel.

A short distance from the Train Station was what we sought and the 450M [odd] was fine each of us pulling a mobile travel case. The restaurant and bar were comfortable and offered a reasonable menu for the weary traveller.

Arrived and found my key was ready, the room upgrade was nice (city view - of a pile of tower cranes, but being an engineer that did it for me :-)). The fitness room was well equipped and accessibility to the city centre was good. Didn't have much staff interaction but what I had was excellent
