Hotel was worn and dated, WiFi was appalling, rooms are small, condensation on windows so don’t book a high room with a view....you won’t see the view. Double glazing is so old fashioned I’ve never seen that type before. Lifts don’t always work. On a positive note the staff are lovely and very helpful and the porridge for breakfast is delish!! Had I had known how bad this hotel was I would never have booked. At £127.50 for the room with breakfast, it is extremely overpriced. Book the Premier Inn instead.

« I didn’t love it... »

The room was clean and fine. The room service was a very poor standard. Cheese chips burnt and the ‘pulled beef nachos’ were not pulled beef, it was some lukewarm grey-brown beef mince. No guacamole. Just generally poor. I had paid for checkout at 6pm next day, but had to checkout at a normal time due to a change in circumstances, I was disappointed that I wasn’t refunded.

« Cracked sink, dirty bath, charged for stuff we didn’t have. »

Second time we’ve stayed with you, the first was fantastic, so much that we recommended you to family who had a terrible stay which we were shocked about. They complained apparently. We felt that it must have been a one off and booked to come this week for my wife Abi’s birthday, on check in non of the lifts were working so as the only one out of the pair of us that doesn’t have a bad back I had to carry the bags up the stairs. Wasn’t a good first impression. The bath was grubby, the sink was cracked and the breakfast menu for the door was filled in for the 5th of feb. We checked in the 12th.. then on check out we got charged £15 odd for drinks charges, we hadn’t had anything like that as we like to pay then and there for stuff we get. We essentially got called liars and it took a good 10 minutes for her to let us off and we walked away with a half arsed apology. We were both really mad. The same thing happened the last time we stayed too. Got told that it never happens, and it was a forgivable mistake so we didn’t think any more of it until it happened again this time. I joined le club and we were planning to come back for the Christmas markets this year but I doubt we will now. It’s really soured my view on the hotel which was really favourable. On the plus side, the restaurant is great, didn’t have the menu that we booked the meal for so we had £22 off the bill each then paid the rest in cash. Overall, pretty happy about that. The rooms are very tired looking. The bathroom very dated. I was staying in the 9th floor and could hear the trams clearly which was a little annoying. As the bathroom was very tired looking I would not choose to stay again

I stayed for two nights. The room is really nice and comfortable, I haven't slept so well for long time! The restaurant has good view and a nice view of Manchester city centre as well. It has been a very nice stay.

« A reasonably priced city centre hotel with great views of the city »

I stayed for two nights for a conference. As a hotel with conference facilities (and very smart facilities too), I felt the quality of the rooms upstairs didn't really match -- they felt a bit like they belonged more in a budget hotel. Apart from that, no real criticisms -- friendly staff, great choice of breakfast and views of the city, and very reasonably priced for a city centre hotel -- would consider staying again if I visit Manchester again.

Arrived late at night as we traveled up from London, and then had to wait for about 20-25 minutes to check in. Then was told I had only made part payment when I made full and hotel was in need of refurb

« fine but that is it »

No toilet roll, 2 days running. Very odd thing to forget. Room was clean but noticeable hairs in bathroom, in the bath etc and this was on arrival. I do not eat Breakfast here anymore (last 3 times I have) because all 3 times over 2 years the staff just smash the cutlery and crockery about and do not seem interested. I think you may find repeat visitors are put off especially when there are many options within a stones throw of the hotel.

The room walls were paper thin. Woken up at 1am screaming and shouting from adjoining room. Went on for hours even though reported. No sleep at all. Next morning moved to another room exactly the same. A drunk female in the adjoining room shouting and swearing at her boyfriend via mobile phone. Having had no sleep the previous nightI made the guest fully aware of our grievance. Everything went quiet until 5 am when she started again. A couple of expletives and wall banging eventually shut her up . Will I stay here again. No chance

« Noisy and Cold room »

the room was very noisy from the wind hitting the windows which were old and did not feel sealed correctly. Next door was also seemed to be having a social evening at 4am. The room was cold too and this too was due to the windows not insulating the room. I do think the room was tired and in need of renovating. |the breakfast was frustrating as when we went there wasnt much food out with eggs, beans and sausage all run out so we had to wait 10mins for them to be refilled. This was around 10am.
