Notified two days before arrival that the Hotel had overbooked and that we had been booked in to a Hotel over 30 minutes further away from our home address. We only spotted this e mail 30 minutes before we were leaving home!! We stayed the last night of our 4 night Booking at the Hotel and found the Staff in general very helpful. We did accept a room upgrade and meal as offered by the Hotel but would rather have not been moved to another Hotel particularly as we had Booked many weeks before and had received a number of Booking confirmations from the Hotel.

« Excellent staff, but hotel needs a refresh. »

My booking was not showing on the system even though I had a booking reference, but Gabrielle on reception went out of her way to get me a room. Very friendly and helpful. Also I was with a visually impaired colleague and the restaurant staff were great and very accommodating, making sure he was looked after.

Everything good except having to wait for a table at breakfast from 9.30 until 9.40 on Saturday morning and then at 10.58 the chef came into the restaurant and removed all the hot breakfasts in consequence I had to get one of the waiters to get the remainder of my breakfast. Secondly the sink in the room with disabled facilities was too small meaning it was too difficult for my wife in her wheel chair to get close enough to the sink to clean her teeth

Good car parking, and very helpful lady on Reception who looked after my every need. The only people in the hotel were leftovers from a christening party, the worse for wear, but the barman was very patient with them. Other than that, clean room and comfortable bed.

« bar service /welcome in the bar on the evening we stayed was disappointing, and atmosphere was not good. »

room fine , clean and met our expectations. the barman carried on emptying the dishwasher even though he has seen us in front of him, there was chat or banter from him. A party of foreign tourists came in just as the bar was closing there appeared to be approx 12 people in their group, they made their way to the bar where they were advised it as closed, there would have been drinks paid for and possibly other rounds. They were refused a drink after just arriving - what a welcome!!!! I felt so sorry they were shown no hospitality!!!.

On arrival the staff were very helpful. The room was comfortable, tidy and very clean. There was a good atmosphere in the bar and the sofas and chairs in the lounge area were comfortable.

« Quite good had problems with the bathroom »

The staff were all amazing and helpful, When using the loo in the adapted bathroom it had an automatic flush that flushed five times on average when using and several times when washing and drying hands and using the wash basin. Also the toilet seat kept falling off (We didn’t need an adapted bathroom but that was the only one available when we booked. The food in the restaurant was good on the second night but not great the first night. Breakfast on both days was excellent
