The experience was perfectly nice - the staff were very attentive, and the room was very clean and well-equipped. One criticism that I would make is that we were told there would be a 24 hour bar, but it wasn't made clear that the choice would be limited (i.e. no cocktails etc.) after a certain hour - we probably would have stayed out for a drink elsewhere if we'd realised the choice would be limited late at night.

The room was great. Good shower, towels and air con. The best thing was Joaquin the receptionist. We arrived at night, through gusty winds and rain. Joaquin gave us a warm welcome and was friendly and attentive throughout the entire weekend. A really charming, diligent and enthusiastic guy who gives top class customer service!

« Lovely hotel, brilliant positioning, helpful and happy staff, really nice rooms! »

Although parking is tight, at least they have an offering which most hotels do not. Kindly upgraded my room for free. Lovely new look room, comfortable beds, nice new carpets and all the extras you could require. Lovely new bathroom. Helpful staff. A great feel and unique look to the hotel. Brilliantly positioned opposite the sea and not in the busy part of town! I would recommend and use again!

It was great . Free coffee on arrival in the bar as we were early and the room wasn’t quite ready. Central location, parking at both front and rear of hotel. Breakfast was hot and plenty to choose from. We actually stayed an additional night on top of the original booking. Would highly recommend

Room had Seaview and was very comfortable, included aircon and a very modern bathroom. Hotel lobby/bar etc are not the most modern however very clean and acceptable, (lifts are a bit tired). Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Very pleasant stay

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Room was really nice, although not able to take a shower at 4pm, due to no water and when asked was told "water won't come on until 5pm if you can't wait we can offer another room". The evening meal was really nice. Also ordered room service which was nice, but ordered a cake which was forgotten and the man had to go back and get it. Breakfast was okay for a buffet. Had drinks in the bar overlooking the seafront. Later had a drink before dinner and had to ask if the prosecco could be changed as it was flat. However, all the staff were helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough to assist us. Beautifully decorated throughout.

Summary see above Check-in: took ~20 mins to check the person before me in. Granted it was a special case due to cancelled flight, but although the staff was very friendly she didn't show sense for time or the line. I'm more used to ~2 mins from other stays... Dinner: Waitress friendly but didn't know about the wine on the menu (e.g. hasn't tasted herself). Skewers on buffet were dried out. One of the cheesecakes there had the texture of a pudding while another one was normal => served completely under-baked. Breakfast - couldn't find truly healthy options, not clear when coming on how getting coffee works, ignored by waiter, big room but de-energizing light and air. Not clear who's doing what there. Sea-facing windows - I'm sure they're regularly cleaned but they look very dirty => affects the unique view and appearance.

This is one of least accessible hotels I’ve ever been in y first room up 8 or 9 steps and shower required negotiating a 15 inch lip However staff were helpful and moved me to an easier room as soon as they could

Positives - Young gentleman on reception upon arrival on Friday night was very pleasant and helpful. Room was large and clean, great balcony and view. Food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was reasonable to good. Waiting staff in the bar and restaurant were pleasant - although, some bar training (especially cocktails) for the waiting staff covering the bar staff might be useful! The hotel was clean throughout. Negatives - The room had a bad draft through the old windows and door and due to high winds and the room facing the sea, it was very noisy during the night on our second night, some additional draft excluding, or even secondary glazing might help guests sleep through rough weather. And during our departure there was unfortunately an event being held in the ballroom, and vehicles in the car park had blocked our car in. The reception team didn't have the vehicles registered and it took them 20 minutes to find Billy the manager, as his radio wasn't on and their pager system was not working. A further 20 minutes and Billy had managed to find the relevant people to move their cars, so we could leave. This delay meant us facing a longer journey, due to heavier traffic, home - which considering the £18 a night parking charge, I would have hoped the car park would have been better managed for guests.

The experience was good although we did ask to change our room, as the first one was very, very small. Although the room we changed to was larger, the view was awful. We had a nice time despite this. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The hotel is conveniently situated. The building itself is in need of a facelift, but I have to admit that the room facilities were excellent. Outside, the whole area would be enhanced with replacement flags as the current ones have definitely seen better days.
