The room was very nice and location of the hotel ibn Ayr was very good. As we only stayed one night it was a short visit but the hotel was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was not, in my opinion, particularly good value for money.

Poor for the price. Internet co section was non existent, when asking at reception I was told it's because a lot of people were using it. Not the answer WI-FI means that WiFi free to all. But not on this stay at the hotel. I was s t saying with my y young grandson and we were keeping in touch with his parents who were Out of the country and this was non existent he be same distressed as we were unable to face time or even get him on to anything on his iPad due to non existent WiFi . Please do not advertise what you cannot provide. Reimbursement for poor quality along with the spiders webs in the bedroom.

We had a lovely room. Very clean and with a fabulous view to the Clyde estuary and heads of Ayr, but the spa was old and in disrepair. Hand rail up to hot tub was loose and wobbly. Door handle had broken off steam room and maintenance man had to come and glue another handle on door. Only two showers in ladies changing room, one of which was only a cold shower. the other shower was hanging off the wall. The cooked breakfast was also disappointing. Fried eggs like frisbees, bacon like leather and not much choice in cooked items.

Really let down. the staff were very unprofessional, had issues with laundry and they did not make any effort to help resolve or give me any confidence that the issue wouldnt happen again. my front door would not shut. the fire alarm kept going off in the early hours. no apologies from the staff for the inconvenience.
