Was very pleasantly surprised that the hotel was so nice considering what we paid for the night. On arrival was greeted by pleasant receptionist and check in was very efficient. One thing I must mention is that the hotel was lovely and warm especially as it was very cold and wet outside - much appreciated. Will definitely return. Ps also enjoyed our bottle of wine which was included in our deal - lovely touch.

room 214, Quite pleasant, nice clean room, unfortunately the shower over the bath was a bit disappointing, not enough water flow when the the required temperature was set . also thought the meal selection in bar was quite limited.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel as it was right in the centre of Perth with free parking in a nice historic building. Some of the decoration and furniture is a bit dated and it could be so much better if it was restored sympathetically and with a modern feel. The room was a good size but could have been laid out better. It could have done with a lick of paint at least. We were on the ground floor and over looked a pretty path way along the river. Unfortunately, this wasn't great as I was woken by drunks and shouting at early hours of the morning. When we checked in we were just given our room key, no information was given about dinner or breakfast. When we turned up to dinner we were asked if we had booked as it was busy. They did find space for us, but it was a bit strange as we were on a dinner, bed and breakfast package so obviously we were going to be eating. Again at check-in we were not told that we would need to book a time for dinner. Breakfast was very a very nice selection and lovely sausages. It wasn't bad value, but could be have been better with a little effort.

Friendly staff, good location. Only criticism is ordered-informed staff in advance one of our group is coeliac so if possible could this be taken into account for breakfast. However on the day told the delivery hadn't arrived on friday (we were there sunday) so no bread etc available. Not like shops nearby they could have gone too!!

Hotel was interesting due to it being an old mill. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was adequate and clean but in need of refurbishment, especially bathroom - bath surface stained, cracked bathroom tiles. Breakfast available was adequate but Brasserie menu was limited and overpriced.

Rooms are very dated. But the bed and particularly the pillows are comfortable. The stove was broken so did not have dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout

Location was great as was breakfast. Room needs renovated. Lots of black mould on the bath seal and thick dust on the headboard of the bed. Overpriced at £129 for 1 night b&b.

Friendly & helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms. Most enjoyable breakfast. We were there for 2 nights with dinner on first this was from Set menu which was okay but we have a vegetarian in our company and was a take it or leave it so took it but didn't like it

« First time at a Mercure certainly will not be our last. »

Warm,cosy and comfortable.Professional,courteous service with the exception of the breakfast waitress,she removed my husbands plate whilst I was still eating.Might sound petty but a big no-no in my opinion.

My husband and I have just returned from our overnight stay at the Mercure Perth. We purchased a deal which included Bed and Breakfast, 3 course dinner with a bottle of wine. We did have a lovely time however were disappointed at the Hotel as when we were seated for dinner we were told that with this deal we had an £18 allowance for dinner and any costs over this we would have to pay direct to the Hotel. There was only one option on the menu that would allow 2 courses for £18 let alone 3 courses therefore anything that you would have chosen was always going to incur surcharges. In the end my husband and I chose 2 courses each and had to pay the surcharges that this incurred. This happening left us very disappointed.

« A little disappointing. »

Rooms are in need of upgrading. My pillows felt lumpy & the bed is old. The furniture is broken. The bathrooms appear dirty as the units are stained. There are cobwebs in the wardrobe. I tried the in room pizza with wine offer. The pizza is awful. It was supposed to come with herbs & rocket, but these were missing. The wine prices in the bar are a joke. £10.30 for a large chardonnay??
