« Nice clean hotel with friendly staff »

Good friendly welcome when booking in, room clean and quite spacious. Tea tray was okay, only two sets of tea and coffee and no biscuits however it does state in the information pack to just call reception if any more were needed. Stayed two nights, cleaners did great job of my room while I was at breakfast too so no disruption to us when cleaning done. Breakfast was okay although slightly basic, no black pudding and only fried eggs - again the menu states to just ask the staff if you want anything different ie poached/scrambled eggs, I did see others doing this but did not ask myself and the staff looked happy enough to help when asked. Reception happy to help when I requested some fresh towels

As above, but dinner was a different experience, my husband ordered cock a leekie soup, he was given chicken and rice! we waited 45 mins for our main course, I had to ask for the wine included in our meal, never saw another member of staff ! Got up and left, no dessert offered, totally neglected during meal,

« Satisfactory once managed to get my room »

Initial problem with overbooking. Despite being one of a group booking was told there was no room for me and would have to be moved elsewhere. Clearly as part of a business group we had arranged to have a working dinner in the hotel then to travel together in the morning. It took some time and a little persuasion to find a room for me. Thereafter stay was very pleasant.

On arrival found that the car park did not belong to hotel as was led to believe so had to pay extra £6. Room was ok but very noisy so had no sleep , breakfast was extra £11 per person so decided to go to weatherspoons . When checking out receptionist was more interested in carrying on a conversation with another guest about how drunk his party were night before & encouraging them to go into graphic details about their bad behaviour & laughing rather than dealing with our check out properly.

The room,Privelage room 504. Great view,well laid out,but let down by two wholly inadequate radiators,the howling gale coming in under door due to 5th floor landing window left open all night may have contributed to this though. The Bed very comfortable,The bathroom,aesthetically brilliant,but in practical use,wash hand basin way too small,if tap turned on too hard,water shoots out over side all over floor and your trousers,not what you want when you're on your way out for a night. Instructions for shower would be a great boon too. Only one robe and slippers and one bath towel in Privelage room, when booked for two people? Maybe this is the norm,i'm not sure. Ate in the hotel,food was good,some things a bit pricey,but perhaps average for a city centre hotel. breakfast was great,facilities well laid out,easy to acess,and plenty to eat. Staff,were great,everyone of them,friendly and helpful. Parking not so good,first come first serve basis,and pretty tight space wise. Would we reccommend to our friends,probably yes, would we stay again ourselves,Yes,but only if we got Room 504,and they closed that landing window on the 5th floor. Overall, really enjoyed it.

Great. We used the hotel for an overnight stop whilst visiting family. Unfortunately Inverness is now only affordable for us west coasters out of season. Friendly helpful staff, nice room with view and breakfast was good.

overall pleasing room clean and tidy staff very friendly and efficient, only issues was filling the kettle for tea with water from the bathroom sink hand basin was to small to fit the kettle under which meant not a lot of water was collected

« A good weekend break »

This Mercure is well-situated in the centre of Inverness, with some rooms having a good view of the river. Value for money was good; the staff were helpful, the room was big enough and spotless, and the dining room and bar were welcoming. There was lots of late-night noise on the street outside that disturbed rest in our street-side room. Otherwise fine and I would return.

« The worst night sleep ever, gave up at 3.30am and got up »

Room booked for early access at 10am, arrived at 12 noon, room not ready, asked to either wait 30+ minutes, or take an alternative room, took alternative room - big mistake, noise issue over night, lots of other minor issues, i.e. room table light not working, replacement lamp broken, room set up for one guest, etc. Called to speak with Operations manger, left message call not returned - subject complaint
