« A pleasant stay »

The hotel has very good location and check in was fast and smooth. Many nice shops and restaurants nearby and I’d recommend it to any visitors travelling around this area. The only thing I don’t like about the hotel is the painting on the wardrobe, felt like I’ve been watched by real-life sized historical person at night :p

First of all reception couldn't find my booking, then told me a was booked in for the 18th August and not the 13th August, then I produced an email and it was sorted, the room (501) for £186 B&B was compact and due to the narrowness of the door struggled top get my case through the door, a certainly laughed when I was told it had a sea view, it looked like a river to me.

Room was clean and had a nice view of the River Ness. Location near to the railway station was a great plus. Some suggestions for upgrading the experience: (1) Lighting in the room was too dim. It was too dark to read except in daylight hours. (2) Breakfast was an 'all or nothing' affair. If coffee or tea were available without taking the entire pension, it would be nice. This is especially a factor for early risers because no coffee shops in the area are open until 8:00 AM. (3) Bathroom linens did not include wash cloths that are helpful in bathing and showering. Thank you for considering these suggestions.

Satisfactory overall. The rooms including the "privilege" room I payed for appeared worn and had poor lighting and very limited power outlets. Great central location in town.

« Everything went great! We enjoyed our stay. »

There was a bit of miscommunication to the front desk about my small group. They did not have record showing they should be paid to one card. But, this was quickly solved. It was good I was there with them so no confusion! Everyone loved their rooms. The hotel is older. I hope to see updates in the future.

Mainly good, good choice for breakfast, comfortable room, a lot of noise on street below but was expected. Lifts very good and parking good but was surprised I had to pay for parking after paying £400 for two nights!! Painter outside the bedrooms painting skirting board was a bit inconvenient. Staff friendly so overall a good stay just a bit pricey

I very much enjoyed your staff as well as your facilities however because there was no air conditioning in the room, we needed to open the window to have air. The noise from the street with all the pubs created a very unpleasant stay for us, we did not sleep well and therefore were tired and grumpy.

...but you sent me NUMEROUS emails badgering me to do so. I arrived with heavy bags on a rainy day over 30 mins after check in time (2pm). I was told my room wasn't ready. The very listless and unfriendly receptionist, Casey, seemed to feel I was an inconvenience. No apology was offered for the room not being ready. At check out after my second night, another receptionist tried to charge me a massive £15.99 (what is in this breakfast?! Caviar?!) for a breakfast I had not eaten. The room was a bog standard white box: small, noisy, devoid of character. Yet I paid over £350 for the privilege of staying in it for two nights. NB: not through choice, it was literally the last available room in town. I wasn't going to raise any of this but your insistent emails were the last straw. Frankly, pitiful.

The sound proofing at this hotel is abysmal. Inverness centre is busy until late with pub noise. Then when the drunk have stopped shouting the establishments and refuse companies create a further racket. The noise is entirely anti social noise and this hotel just shrugs at it, rather than invest in better sound proofing. It has been like this for several years. A coach of American guests were all complaining about it at breakfast. What does it matter? They won't be back anyway. It's probably a once in a lifetime holiday for them. Ruined by noise and they don't even get a finger of shortbread to have with their tea and coffee in their rooms, not with this tightwad hotel!
