Just arrived in Jakarta, then I decided to stay in Hotel Grand Mercure Jakarta Harmoni. I entering the hotel lobby and some staff call my name. They still remember me although I am not becoming their repeater yet. This is my 4th times stay at this hotel. They were polite but friendly. They serve me well, they give me their sweet smile. Room was clean, smell good, and quiet. All was excellent. This is my great journey ever.

Chose to stay in this hotel again instead of other accor group hotels primarily because of its ideal location (near to cbd and shopping mall). However it continues to puzzle me that the guest rooms are not equipped with iron and ironing board. Thought this should be something pretty basic expected of 4-5 star hotels. I was expecting an electronic copy of the invoice to be sent to my email after my stay. But unlike other Accor hotels, i never received the electronic copy invoice.

« All Customers Should Give Low Rating Until The Hotel Stops Using Plastic Water Bottles »

In reception the hotel has a sign saying "say no to plastic bottles" BUT they have no idea what that actually means. Ask the staff to refill a water bottle or provide water that's not in a plastic bottle and they look at me like I'm crazy. I cannot give you high marks until you stop using plastic water bottles. Please use water jugs, dispensers and glass water bottles. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are great. The staff don't care about plastic because the management don't care. Shame on you. I'd love to give the Grand a high rating, but the only way they will listen and stop laughing at me is if I give a low rating.

We are using glass water bottle for our meeting room and using stainless-til straw to replace the plastic one. We have provided dispensers at most of all guest floor pantry and our glass bottle, are also ready to be use when our guest are prefer not to use plastic bottle for their drinkable supplies at the guest room. Thank you for your kind input and I will pursue the time on the subject to ensure all of our team member understand well and able to explain to our guests accordingly. « Nearly Perfect BUT I must protest »

This excellent hotel deserves top marks and a high score however, I cannot give 5 starts until they stop using plastic water bottles. In reception there's a sign that says "Say No To Plastic Bottles" but they give you no option BUT to use plastic bottles. When I asked them to refill my water bottle they looked confused and simply offered me a plastic water bottle and when I said NO please refill they laughed at me and opened a plastic water bottle and emptied it into my bottle - I mean what was the point. It shows the staff have no idea and that the management are not taking the environment seriously. They obviously don't think that training the staff into these matters are important. As a BIG international hotel chain the Accor group should know better and lead the way. ALL people reading this should give LOW marks to any hotel that uses plastic bottles. Perhaps now the Grand will stop laughing and actually do something to fix the issue. Supply water dispensers to refill and use glass bottles.

First night found the showers not working properly. Complaint on the second day, and the maintenance guy came and fixed it. The wash basin faucet was very stiff, and the maintenance guy tried but could not rectify it. No big issues with that really, but for ladies, would need a lot of strength to on and off the faucet.

Receptionist didn't ask if I want to open deposit or pay directly, ended up paying directly, thought I can settle room service at check out but since I pay at front I have to pay right away for my breakfast room service.
