« The best hotel in Makassar »

Staying almost 7 nights at Novotel Grand Shayla Makassar was the best experience I have ever had, even though visiting the biggest city in the eastern part of Indonesia was a routine schedule for me. It offers to its guests the lovely, spacious, shiny, and clean rooms combining with a striking city view. The female reception staffs are friendly and helpful. Meanwhile, the male ones look like robots and soldiers in the battlegrounds. It should improve the breakfast in terms of food variety. I stopped coming for breakfast after founding in the third day, there were similar menus for the three-consecutive-days. However, generally, Novotel Grand Shayla Makassar is the best hotel in Makassar.

Plus: breakfast variety, clean room, complete amenities, has praying mat is a plus, bed is comfortable. Minus: dinning service poor, lack of service management from waitress even for ala carte standard is very low i have to wait more than 1 hour just waiting for beef steak, order ready not FIFO, air con in the room is noisy even with minimum fan speed (1202), smells in bathroom drainage, long queue during check-in and nonone at next desk even they're empty, hotel rate is bit expensive with that kind service.

Stayed at Novotel for 4 nights, had a really wonderful stay. Arrived with early flight from Jakarta and asked for early check-in, the front desk staff processed our request without hassle. The room was fresh n clean. I’m impressed by the hospitality of one of your pool attendance at the swimming pool area named Indra, he was very patience and genuinely nice in handling us.

« Nice hotel but need upgrading the front desk officers »

The hotel is actually very convenient however the receptionists are lacking coordination. I booked drop off to airport for early morning at 4.50 am. I informed the front desk twice, when i checked in and at the afternoon a day before my departure. When I checked out and asked the drop off, the front desk officer told me that my drop off was scheduled at 6.15, on which my flight should have been taking off.

I woke up in the morning and then took a shower, but the hot water is running out. I'm dissapointed because this is Novotel.. the receptionist told me that the water is running out becase my room is on 12 Floor, WTH !
