Average hotel. Very much local hotel standard. Not much of Accor (Novotel) hotel standard. Need a lot of improvement. Mainly housekeeping, customer service and lounge. The room was small with limited features. They don't even have iron box in the room and request not entertained. The spa, I will not call it spa, very poor service. Executive lounge they only serve coffee and tea. No welcome drink offered. In room dining we ordered Soto Makassar, rice and beef soup delivered. Many more issues. They even wanted to charge for my room twice.

Overall trip was quite enjoyable When checking in the hotel staff did not merge my two separate bookings which caused issues. When checking out the hotel staff was not able to calculate the correct amount that was still due, which was annoying because I was in a hurry. Hotel staff ignored me in a very rude way and only wanted to talk to my Indonesian friend. This was just insulting, given that I booked the room.

have 2 nights stay in there, being upgrade to executive room for free (surprised and happy indeed). overall is nice, comfort sleep, clean, nice breakfast and etc. but the hot water supply and the water pressure is disappointed. so cannot have good shower for 2 days.

« Satisfye, but having not quite good room position and functional »

I had a quite good experience while staying at Grand Shayla. But I quite disappointed when i got the room which was located far from elevator (I already asked the room that not quite far from elevator) and one lamp broken. Even i was reserved with government rate, it will be more comfortable if the receptionist inform the disadvantages of the room. Because i was travelling alone and very late night check in.
