Helpful staff, very flexible opening times, lovely room. But both nights we stayed (different rooms, different dates in August 2019) there were lots of mosquitoes in the rooms. Plus the hotel has no AC at all

« Nice room, but not to be booked in summer, service improvable »

1) Room has no air condition; the normal air ventilation apparently was also defective (red maintenance light, no ventilation start when button pressed). It was very (!) hot in the room. Opening the window helped only little, also then it was very noisy and mosquitos came in. 2) Reception offered to bring a fan in the room the next day. But nothing happened. When I asked second time for the fan, I was handed over one directly. 3) Safe was defective (couldn't enter a new number, didn't detect that door was closed). Reported this to the reception. Nothing happened during my stay. 4) Bottle opener was missing in the kitchen. Asked at reception. A new one was handed over immediately. 5) Invoice needs exact company address. Was immediately and quickly adapted. 6) Booking information states that reception is closed after 9 pm and guest has to contact reception before. Actually reception is open 24 h. Reception has responded to my mail very quickly. Summary: Before this business visit I have often stayed in another hotel in Massy; this was my second stay in the Adagio, because I liked the room design and room equipment very much. My previous booking was in spring and everything (including service) was very good. This time service was only acceptable/reduced good. I will never book a room in summer in this hotel again, is possible.

Very good location. very quick check-in and check-out thanks to the online registration. Room was great except for the temperature (too hot). We had to ask for a fan as the air conditioning was not cooling the room. Good breakfast and enjoyed the coffee/croissants at reception in the afternoon.

Room was clean. WiFi internet did not work in the room for the first two days, but the problem was solved for the rest of my stay (two weeks). Ducted AC has a 30 minutes timer, so I need to get up several times at night to activate it again, which results in a very poor rest during hot days. Staff tried to help as much as they could, but something were out of their control (AC for example). Although is very close to the rail lines, you cannot hear anything if you keep the windows close. Kitchen and fridge were small but sufficient.

The hotel is able to sell rooms because you provide enough to be able to cook like home. You need to provide your staff with enough resources to be able to take care of the guests. The rooms do not have consistent air conditioning, it was so hot at Massy in the last week of June and first week of July. The staff did not even have a fan for us for the first 2 days! I asked for a pan to boil milk/water and eventually gave up after 5/6 times; they never had one until the end of our stay. The WiFi did not work for the first 3 days and there were people struggling for it since 2-3 days prior to that. You do not even provide daily cleaning of the room, shameful. Pay an average €102 per night to merely somehow live through our time here. If you had a money back guarantee, I'd be asking for every single penny to be returned.

The hotel is conveniently located but the rooms feels old, the beds and mattress are far from comfortable and the breakfast is a bit deceiving for the price. Tables were not cleaned very often after people finished their breakfast so I had to take mine standing up one morning, and the front desk girl didn't think it was an issue... I stayed 9 nights there, not a single cleaning has been done in my room! There is no drawers to put our clothes in, that misses a lot! Also, lack of air circulation in the room! No A/C (yes, I was there during the heat wave of June), and hundreds of mosquitoes came inside if I opened the window... which modern hotel does not have AC ?? Plus, since there is no air circulation devices, the bathroom became suffocating after each shower, even though I wasn't using extra hot water! Internet broke for the last two days of my trip, very annoying when you have planned on finishing that important presentation you have to give on the next day, and that all your files are only shared online! All in all, the price is ok and it's very close to the RER station but I would not recommend going there if you stay more than 3-4 nights.

« Alright but not great »

The staff was brought and the room was alright with a super convenient kitchenette. However, the location of the room was right on top of a restaurant in the street and therefore there was a lot of noise until midnight; it was difficult to leave the window open and sleep. Couldn't shut it and sleep as it used to get hot. Apart from that there was this weird noise from within the hotel like a boiler which was a pain and gave me a headache. I am supposed to come back and stay here for another 18 days later but would not chose to stay if there was a better option around this location.

« Good but some details made it not great »

I said 3 times which day I wanted my weekly cleaning. I wasnt worthy: the cleaning lady entered another different day. I told at reception that one of the light bulbs wasn’t working. During 20 days of stance nobody fixed it. Somebody entered at my room while I was out (there were very clear signs of it). I dont know the purpose but it was not for cleaning. I asked at reception why someone entered at my room and they couldnt give me a proper explanation. In my opinion the breakfast could be a bit better.... But the worst thing of all by far: internet is not properly working. On 2019. Unbelievable. Hardly possible to open a internet video. And I dont mean during 1 day, I mean it for the 20 days I was there. Pretty bad, seriously.

I felt good in this hotel and the Little kitchen corner inside Is very comfortable. The cleaning service Is improvable: if you stay less than 8 night the clean Is at costumer's charge, ok, but inside aren't enough cleaning's things. I asked It, like a bed's sheet more for the children and no one gave It to me.

I have been staying at this Adagio since it was opened in 2015 or earlier. I like the design of the room, quality of the kitchen equipment and a comfortable bed. The team is always helpful and supportive, very easy to deal in case of any concern or ask an advice. It is convenient to get the office in the nearby area and Paris.
