It was very comfortable to stay, thing is the rooms and double bed are 2 small for 2. Not enough space to move around. Had a fall in the room tangled by the sheets hanging at the sides. Ok for 2 nights

The hotel was undergoing refurbishment and the sound-proofing was awful. There was a disgusting smell in the bathroom from the drains. Breakfast was average - no hot food. Staff fairly cold and the location is pretty bad.

Pleasant experience, although a bit disappointed that hotel no longer full English breakfast as they did previously. Also had to park elsewhere for duration of our stay as Hotel car park was full.

« Basic but satisfactory »

The room was clean and satisfactory. Stayed in previous years so disappointed cooked breakfast no longer included and drink prices have increased. No longer makes financial sense 2 stay at hotel 4 evening meals. Evening offers run out early on. Staff however very pleasant. Rooms could have been thought out a little better such as mirror by desk along with hair dryer. The bed is very hard. School trip was very noisy at night disturbing my sleep. However for what we paid for the room and the reasons we wanted the room is for a base to sleep it was fine.

« No air con or tv ! »

We booked a 2 night stay and at about 2300 on the 1st night we realised that the air was not working... it was too late to complain so we ended up sleeping on damp towels to keep cool. I wa competing in the triathlon the following day and hardly slept at all. We did speak to reception the following morning and the staff arranged for us to move room later. I must congratulate every single member of staff that we came into contact with during our stay. They were helpful and very courteous and a credit to your company. The new room was fine but I think if you hadn’t been able to move us we’d of had to go home and not stay another night

The rooms are very basic abd the shower is poor soaking the entire floor on use. Shower curtain sticks to you. Air con fan is load and unable to use while asleep. Doors slam if you dont hold them when exciting the rooms! Window opens small amount. Breakfast very basic. No hot food option.

I was staying one night in a double room, the Lady Who made my check-in was smily. Room is quite small but clean and the bed is confortable, breakfast is OK. I was expecting a better thing from an ibis style but my stay was Nice. With my discount, it was an excellent value for money

« You present on line as if you are a single chain, but you are not »

I booked the wrong ibis at excel in error, whenI went to change the booking and despite the fact that all on line appearances are that it’s a chain of hotels with one owner, it turns out that’s fat from the case. Ibis style having taken my booking would not allow it to be transferred. This is fundamentally dishonest. Accorhotels.com is a marketplace not a central booking hub. You have my money, enjoy it, for you will never get it again at any of your hotels

Difficult to get around in a wheelchair some reception staff where indifferent and not very helpful . Room was comfy but a bit dated . The gentlemen running the breakfast was very polite and curtious and couldn't do enough to help us .

The hotel had all the facilities we needed but the room and hotel could do with bringing upto Accor standards. I've stayed previously in the Manchester Piccadilly Gardens Ibis Styles which was so much better and felt like a much more luxurious hotel.

Clean room, nice staff, and good breakfast - what do you want more? Hotel is located right next to the DLR station, so ideal for a visit to London. Staff was exceedingly friendly; we had reserved using a voucher, of which we forgot to bring the original copy. Staff went out of their way to help us and all worked out in the end. Only good memories!

« 5th bed not in room, 2nd stay and same thing again. »

The room is fine and it is the second time we have stayed in the same room. However, each time we have booked that room, we have asked for a fifth temporary bed to be put in there and on both occasions the bed has not been in there and we have had to go to reception to ask for it. On our second stay, we arrived very late, 11.45pm. Once checked-in and then having got to the room we realised we did not have the temporary bed (again !) so I went back to reception and asked for it. The young man who initially saw us was very helpful, however a slightly older man behind reception who was instructed to go and get the temporary bed seemed very reluctant to get it or even help us out and tried to tell us that we had a king-size bed and 2 single beds and that would be suitable, to which I duly explained there are actually five of us not four, despite the request being on the notes for the booking (both this time and the last time ! - I assume people aren’t reading the notes). At midnight I do not appreciate someone trying to argue with me as to why they can’t do something they have been asked to do. Also, I had breakfast included in the stay, yet we only had cereal and toast on offer, not the full cooked breakfast that I paid for and that has always been offered every time we have stayed at this hotel, which is probably close to double figures now ! I also think that I have been charged the wrong price for the stay as well As I was using my Accor loyalty points to reduce the price, I was told this would happen at the point when I checked out, however, my bank statement says that I have been charged over £280.

This was caused by the message from our Central Reservation Office saying: "There will be a third child accommodated in the same room." They should have instead written "extra bed requested for third child" as sometimes very young children can share the same bed as their parents. Maybe a quick email to my Reservations Dept. on h8… will ensure that this problem does not re-occur. Please accept my apologies for not using your Le Club points. This is being done today with the corresponding amount being refunded on to your card. I will forward the receipt to you by email once done. Please accept my most profuse apologies. I stayed for one night, bathroom was unreasonably tiny. Breakfast choices are limited (literally croissants and toast). I’ve stayed at many ibises, and this is by far the worst one.
