The hotel being full both lifts should be working, not only one during the whole exhibition. The first day, upon check-in, late indeed (23h) on a Sunday, there was nothing to buy as drinks at the front desk, neither the pub was open, and I had to remain with the small bottle of water in the room until the next morning. After a lond journey travelling from Greece to London, it could be better. Room was very basic but clean and had the minimum required, only one window on the roof, poor light and fresh air.

« room was fine but having one elevator for 360 rooms for 3 days was very much a hassle »

The room was fine with all you needed. It would have been nice to connect the hairdryer in the room but this was only possible in the hallway. Also I had ordered a room in the back & when I checked in was assigned a room in the front. There was one elevator only as the 2nd one was out of order and that was the case for the entire 3 days. Not a good thing having to wait for the elevator for 15 min. when you're on the 5th floor and you don't have time.

I booked this hotel as I was attending the WTM at Excel. Its the perfect location, the rooms were comfortable and quite which is important when you are there for work and they had everything you need for a business trip, I would definitely book the hotel again

« Standard Ibis quality just next to ExCel »

A standard Ibis hotel, conveniently located next to ExCel. Easy transport connections to the city centre, and once they open the Elizabeth line of the metro, it will also have a direct connection to Heathrow airport. Rooms are clean and so are towels and bed linen. Rates normally are acceptable, except for during big trade fairs when they just hit the sky. Breakfast is okay, but remains the same day after day, and if you stay for more than couple of days it becomes rather annoying. For example, I was quite disappointed to find only one kind of cheese. Also, "coffee" a creepy instant liquid which pretends to be espresso. No, it is not! Luckily enough, there is a Starbucks café just steps away where they serve espresso made of proper coffee beans. A short walk away there also is another café where they offer Italian espresso. What was good was the pub: food is good and the atmosphere is nice. The restaurant, though, although using the pub's kitchen is disappointing.

They day of the Checkout 6/11, I forgot my personal phone on the room, after the exhibition I came back to collect and no-one didn't found it ( at the beginning i though was inside the luggage but when I arrived at home there weren't ). I'm 100% sure i left inside my room, even because I have never use that phone outside the hotel room. The picture of the room ( MANSION FROM HOME ) does't match with the reality, fortunately your staff change my booking.

« The hotel was in a convenient place but not very comfortable »

When we arrived the heating in our room did not work. Your management lent us a heater for the 3 nights but it was adequate. I asked for a newspaper in the morning but only managed to pick one up at breakfast on the first morning. The pub did not seem to be open on the Thursday evening. The breakfast was fine but the room was very noisy - bare floors and noisy chairs.

A great value hotel opposite the ExCel exhibition centre and Custom House DLR Station. The rooms are simply furnished, but spotlessly clean with comfortable bed and good shower. It was also very quiet for a city location, which was very welcome. The staff are friendly and courteous, and there is a bar on-site that serves good honest 'pub grub' at reasonable prices. A good place to stay for anyone attending shows at ExCel.

« Below average, not what expected. »

On arrival for a four night stay we were booked into a Duet room but had booked a queen room, complained and moved to a queen room. This room did not have a safe and was in the middle of rooms being refurbished, complained again and given another room. Tried to use the safe but it kept giving an error code and was not actually fixed in. We asked for this to be sorted but were told the person to sort it had gone home(it was around5.30pm) and was not back in until 7am the next morning. The following morning we again asked for it to be fixed but they were not yet in and told it would be fixed by the end of the day, so we ended up carrying our valuables with us again. On return that evening it had still not been fixed so complained again and were given the fourth room in two days. We packed and unpacked again, we had checked the safe before moving rooms which was fixed in and worked. We thought we were sorted but then discovered the hot water was not working after running it for five minutes. Complained at reception who sent up the maintenance man, he tried and said it wasn't right, checked next door then came back and ran the water again. After ten minutes it started to come hot but he said it shouldnT be like this and we would have wait until they could fix it properly but in the meantime we would have to run the water for ten minutes each time before we used it. We had to do this for the rest of our stay. The only plus point was the duty manager (whose name I do not know) who did his best to help.

Another comfortable stay at a Ibis. Helpful friendly staff and nice clean room. Only minor issue is the same every Ibis I have stayed at. The Lifts in the morning are slow due to the volume of people checking out.

To be honest, wasn't expecting a lot as price was so good but we were very happy and would definitely stay here again. Really useful having DLR opposite the hotel, and only took 15 mins to get into Central London. Staff were helpful, room was good, quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Overall we were very satisfied
