We only stayed for one night, but we were very impressed with our room which, after the recent refurbishment, looked as if we were the first guests to use it! Lovely bathroom with soft fluffy towels, (which, for my liking, could have been a bit bigger). We were quite disappointed that only one device could be to the connected to the internet at one time. If there are two of you and you both need the internet, it’s a bit frustrating to only be able for one of you to connect. The room was small, but very well laid out with a double bed, plenty of lighting and a good sized tv. We didn’t have time to try the breakfast as we had a very early flight that morning. Very economical price and we will most definitely stay there again the next time we fly from LCY.

I had booked 2 Duet rooms which I then checked in online to save time.Only 1 room key worked so back down to reception to sort it out. we then found out it was 1 Duet & 1 double, I went back down to reception who then changed it to another duet.On inspection the room was grubby and not 1 of refurbished rooms we had been previously given.I went back down to reception & between to of the staff after a good 10 minute wait I was given Duet room on the floor below.went to the room and it was a double! The list reception had for twin or double rooms was incorrect.I ended up going back to the original rooms as I was now fed up with it.There was also work still being carried out and on the website it states work would be finished by 31/12/2018

Hotel was easy to get to. Rooms were clean. Shower was brilliant, the breakfast was great. Unfortunately I was woken up a few times in the night from noisy water pipes. I did report this in the morning, the night manager said you should of come down and we would of moved you to a different room. At 3am in the morning that was the last thing I wanted to do. I wasn’t offered anything as an apology so in future I will be sticking to premier inn and travelodge.

i really enjoyed my stay Ibis,the staff were welcoming and helpful.the self service breakfast was excellent.I was however not impressed with the bathroom as it was too smal,it felt like i was in a bus toilet or bathroom and i noticed there was a problem with drainage system in the shower,apart from that i enjoyed my stay.

Used to work for Kew green hotels and they had a few ibis styles was was expecting a nice clean and comfy stay. However it wasn’t anything like the pictures online, very dated. Room smelt. Bed was very uncomfortable and shower wasn’t great. Water kept going luke warm and cold.

Hotel is just nearing completion of a complete refurbishment, hotel rooms are now extremely comfortable, wonderful shower, comfy beds and air con. Only slight disappointment was the breakfast has changed since we last stayed at this hotel and is no longer a full English breakfast, only bacon, baked beans and scrambled eggs - no sausages, tomatoes etc. Didn’t seem to be the same selection of fruit, muffins etc either. Would still recommend this hotel though, for comfort, friendly staff and the location right next to the DLR.

We booked a room with 3 beds and didn’t get that. Instead we where moved 3 times as the second rooms sofa bed was broken and had a huge stain on the mattress. The final bed meant the children had to share a double bed together.

Lovely hotel that is being renovated. Room was clean although carpet was quite badly marked.Lovely having a pub linked to the hotel-nice food. Breakfast was rather manic, plates and cups soon ran out at peak times. Maybe more stocks of these are needed.I am sure that once renovations are completed the hotel will be up to the standard I would expect from the Ibis brand. However staff were very polite and hotel is great for train transport to the city centre.

« Not a warm welcome »

I arrived at the hotel at 3am after a long travel delay. The man at the check in desk was extremely curt with me and displeased at my arrival time, saying several times "you're late and you should've phoned to let us know". I was told that my reservation had been 'reset' and there may not be a room for me now. Even though I had already paid some days ago. After 20 minutes or so I was given a room key. I was disappointed with the complete lack of service upon arriving at the hotel. This is a shame, as I found the room to be very pleasant and clean and good value for money.

It’s my first time staying here and I agree with a lot of the other comments that this establishment desperately needs the refurbishment it is undergoing. We were not disturbed by the work but were in a room badly needing a makeover. My biggest criticism? If it’s cost saving to make the blinds two inches shorter than the window they cover you’ve lost the plot somewhere.
