The hotel is well overdue for a complete makeover. He beds are to hard. The door in the bathroom is rotted, toilet roll holder falling off. Bathroom wall & tiles had huge crack with sharp edges. Conflicting information from staff on need for a room change. Zero recognition of gold membership status. Plates in cupboard dirty with brown water in between them. Overall not really enjoyable nor up to Accor standard.

I really had a great experience here, and the connected pub is great too. Nothing much to complain about othet than the key cards deactivating even when being nowhere near my phone or anything. Wish laundry weren't so expensive but so is traveling lol

The room was clean and tidy and comfortable I felt quite at home there, the only thing I forgot to mentioned was the shower was leaking from the pipe that needs to be fixed, my coffee Sachets were not replenished every morning but that could me. I think a fridge would I was allowed store my medication in was great as my tablets needed to be in the fridge.

« Run far away from this hotel! »

Your rooms are not as advertised! Pictures on your website do NOT represent your rooms! Reserved 2 rooms and they were far from the description! One room had NO air conditioning, just a small window for air, very tiny making it almost impossible to move around! Toilet stopped working and had to be moved from that room! New room had no A/C, and NO TV! Again very uncomfortable! Very dangerous bathroom with a large step to get over to just enter it! Our "mansion" was far from it! Looked like it was an old efficiency apartment from the 60's! The website claims there is updating happening, but sure could have fooled me! Felt we should have been compensated for the change of rooms and all the missing/outdated items. Sent a message to management after front desk staff stated there was nothing they could do and manager was off until after we left! All I got was a message stating he was on vacation and the front desk would take care of things! The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing!

The worked are very friendly. The AC did not work. And we had pigeons right in front our room all day long. As well as feathers was laying on our bed. We did not have a toilet brush.

Stayed Friday 30th as I was in London watching my son compete in sea cadet regatta,arrived at 8.30,check in was quick & efficient,reception staff very friendly & helpful, Room spotless clean my only minor gripe was pillow was a little hard for my liking but I’m sure other folk would have thought it ok, breakfast room very busy in the morning which kinda put my older son who is autistic off & wouldn’t then eat anything... on hindsight I’m sure if I’d mentioned to reception I could have got it brought to room (as I mentioned before the reception staff are lovely & nothing is too much bother for them ) I would definitely stay again next year if my son qualifies again for the regatta only next time stay an extra night to do some sightseeing

Good, pleasant room, comfortable. Bonus to have cooked breakfast this time. Could not get hot water for shave in morning. Kept running hot then cold. But that was only disadvantage. Otherwise very pleasant with helpful staff.

After checking in on-line we went through it all again when arriving. The room was not of good standard. There was a number to txt to and we did so immediately. No response. The shower tray filled to overflowing, the shaver socket did not work, air conditioning was broken, television had sound problems and due to positioning was unwatchable as picture was to dark with no adjustment. Bedside light worked only after twisting it around until connection made, bathroom sink took an age to empty and no way of raising the plug which was shutdown whenever water played on it. A lot of dust under the bed which caused problems with dust allergy. We complained and were told something would be done. The TV was moved. The next day we were offered a new room. We had to pack our bags take to reception before 7am. I went down next morning to be told no room change before 2:30. The room would be ready for our return at around 6pm. Upon return there was no record of change of room. The receptionist on duty at this time was very helpful and eventually found us a different room but she needed us out of existing room fast so it could be resold (without correcting any of the faults. The replacement room was excellent but 2 out of four nights had resulted in us deciding not to risk this hotel next year. Why 3 stars? The breakfast service was much better arranged than the last two visits and it was good to see the reintroduction of cooked food which was very good.

I'm a non- pretentious, solution-oriented and patient traveller but with this hotel, I was at to my wits' end, esp. in relation to the health hazards. - Damp, mouldy, old, smelly building - renovation/ construction going on for years. - Misleading photos when booking: you'll either be given an old, tiny, smelly room next to the ongoing construction or you'll be given a renovated problematic room where nothing is functioning. - Leaking bathrooms on the room floors and leaking faulty AC on room ceiling. In order to remove the offensive, incredibly strong odours, ozone generators are used, which as I was told by the staff are dangerous and huge health hazards. They are used as air purifier and in order to clean the air they produce toxic gases. I simply don't understand why would anybody let guest stay in the hotel, while these toxic machine are in use. -Air-conditioning does not work anywhere in the hotel. You'll be offered to change rooms (until you get tired to do so), and no AC will be actually working - and the staff knows that because there is a general AC issue. The AC will be blowing air yes, room-temperature air, sometimes hot and smelly air - if you try to change the settings, nothing will happen - that's because it's centrally controlled, and well because it's not working. -- Wifi simply isn't reliable, sometimes no internet for more than 8 hours; staff won't do anything about it, just shrug and blame the provider. - Staff is as rude as the comments suggest, esp. if you point their attention to faulty AC or lack of wifi. Be prepared to be laughed at and stared at, gossiping is a big activity at the front desk. - Small, non-standard beds: if you're a bit taller than average, you'll need to sleep with your feet outside the bed, which is very uncomfortable. - Breakfast is terrible:espresso is in fact instant coffee, powdered eggs, as are the juices. Sausages look and taste dodgy, nothing tasted fresh at all. Breakfast staff will be cleaning and constantly dragging the metal chairs around while you're having breakfast. The general idea is to clean and tidy up the breakfast room 30 min. before the end of breakfast - I was taken my coffee mug with coffee in it without being asked if I'm done with it. Someone just came from behind my back, took it and left without saying anything. - The room a lot smaller than the 15m² stated on the website. Rooms overlook the busy road and the train station. You can feel a vibration every time a train passes. - The location is not safe, especially after dark. - Definitely not a 3-star hotel, not even close. Totally overpriced for what it is and what it offers. If you choose Accor hotels because of the quality, this will be a total disappointment, avoid at all costs.

Good stay but a few minor issues. House keeping kept on knocking at the door in the morning despite clear late check out notice. There was apparently no packing and this wasn't communicated before arrival so that alternative arrangements can be made. One of the reason I always chose to stay here was because there was a convenient secure car park. The receptionist on arrival was also rude, would have been better to politely inform us that there was no parking available throughout our stay. Instead she told us parking was at the discretion of the hotel.
