« Very pleasant stay at the Sea Temple »

Large resort with beautiful pool area and lots of green leafy foliage. With it being slightly set back behind mangroves & a creek, it is fabulously protected from the winds that frequent the beach during the day. The staff are simply lovely. Super helpful and friendly. Honestly, you can tell they love working there and are proud of their hotel. And really decent food! Fabulous breakfast buffets and the lunch and dinner offerings at the pool bar were terrific too. Great location - secluded yet just a short walk to the busy restaurant strip of Palm Cove. We had a one bedroom penthouse apartment with our own private roof access to a large covered entertainment area with a BBQ and spa bath. We never ended up using it as it was only the two of us, and we preferred the hotel pool & spa in the gardens. I can see the private area being useful for hosting friends, but for me, as the walls were that high that you had no easy view out, and it was THAT well covered that you never got any decent sunlight to consider sunbathing, it really was wasted space. Also it really is looking rather tired - needs a serious paint job, and the spiral staircase leading up to it was also very rusty. As for the main living area, bedroom, bathroom and balcony, whilst spacious it all just seemed a little tired. A lot of the slats on the balcony sliding screens to protect from the wind were broken so you couldn’t open them. The design of the balcony of the room we were in was such that when you opened the sliding screens fully, they sat slap bang in the middle of your view out to the gardens. Then in the bathroom, not really a massive fan of a shower over a bath, but the good thing was the rain shower head - which was glorious! However a soap dish would be handy! Whilst I love the design of the sink sitting on top of the bench, there is nowhere to put the soap. We ended up using a side plate from the kitchen to prevent the soapy run off from going everywhere. Plenty of hanging & shelf space in the bathroom though, which was appreciated! Bed was super comfy and large too. Overhead fan was appreciated. The aircon was a bit annoying as it was stuck on 24 and you couldn’t change it. As it is winter it is nice and refreshing out, you return to the apartment and it is stuffy from being shut up but the aircon doesn’t help as it is unnecessarily warmer than outside. We did risk opening the balcony doors - happily there were not really many mozzies. With that in mind, a mosquito screen for the balcony would be a nice touch! All in all a really lovely stay! We can also see they are running a maintenance program throughout the building, so I’m certain the ‘tiredness’ will eventually be fixed.

The Sea Temple Resort has excellent catering service that goes out of its way to please you at breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Resort rooms are just great and clean with everything that you would need. The Resort gardens are just great around the pools with those lovely tropical red stem palms. It was a great experience.

Room upgrade was great, staff friendly and helpful, the maintenance work spoilt the atmosphere, perhaps guests could be advised when this is planned, we ate dinner at The Temple of Taste on 2 occasions, the first time was good, the 2nd disappointing, our meal took 50 mins to arrive and both were way below the usual standard, staff apologised and did not charge us for that dinner,

Overall fantastic! Clean hotel, friendly staff, great services Only feedback would be that the kitchen wasn't very well equipped - there were no tongs to use on the BBQ, not enough serving plates. And the dishwasher was really bad - had to wash things 3 times for them to get clean. Would be nice to have basic kitchen things too like salt, pepper, foil, etc.

The entire resort is overdue for a proper clean and maintenance. While I understand that my comments below regard some of this happening I will describe our experience. We were placed beside rooms being renovated with large unsightly scaffolding. Outside our front door large and noisy equipment was being used to pressure clean walls which resulted with my family getting dripped on/ sprayed as we walked past to catch the lift. This noisy process begun just after 7am each day we were at the Pullman in palm cove. I don't want to be hearing industrial noise while I am on a break. While local conditions may be challenging it does not appear that the stains on building walls or paving have been cleaned in a very long time. Thick drink stains on the stone pavement were not cleaned up. I noticed that the pool was being cleaned as we left - to remove a coating of green slime from the bottom obviously long overdue. Decking, pool gates and outdoor furniture all tired and in need of paint, repair or replacement. I do not frequently comment negatively but if claiming to be a 5 star hotel this establishment needs to improve.

I was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer focus. My first interaction with Max at reception kicked of the trip with the perfect start, then the service at the bar and restaurant was fantastic, closed out by a visit from Steve at breakfast to check in on how we enjoyed the stay. It ended up being the perfect place to celebrate my lady's birthday with awesome customer service.

This was our daughter wedding weekend. Accommodation, meals etc. were alright. The morning of the wedding we all had hair and makeup done. The wedding was at 11 o'clock and my son's fiancé went back to the room to get ready. Her key card would not work. They tried my son's card, the maintenance man’s card and had a new card made. None of these worked. By this time my son was upset and his fiance had to go to the wedding in street clothes. After the wedding they went back to the room to get change and in the rush my son fiance ripped her dress. The photographer was waiting to get family photos on the beach and my son was busy helping his fiancé. We are very disappointed that this should happen on this important family day and that we will not have the photos we were looking forward to. My son was more upset that the staff were very casual about the whole situation.

Initially our room had a strange odour, which we reported and got given a room vapourisor. This only added to the problem, so we again reported the next day that we were not happy with our room so we were told that we would be moved the next day. So the next day we were moved which was a much better room. Our original room there were mould spots on the ceiling in the bathroom, and a stained chair, also the outside chair on the small ground floor terrace needed repair. The garden was quite overgrown and had a view of scaffolding. The new room was much more comfortable and presentable and had a better outside area.

As Le Club Accor members we were upgraded to a swim out 1 bed apartment and had a bottle of wine and fruit platter waiting for us in our room which was wonderful. We ate at the Temple of Tastes which was very nice. The only thing that could be improved was, we purchased a special food and beverage package at the pool bar and the list of cocktails did not impress at all.

I came to Pullman Palm Cove for a work conference - staying 2 nights and making use of the conference facilities. The general hotel facilities were good and the staff very helpful, however I think the quality could be improved as a whole. The food was very average, particularly for those with dietary requirements.

We were first booked into a room at the back of the hotel that w. not appealing and were delighted to change it to room 216. We enjoyed the high standard of the hotel and the friendly helpful staff.
