enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast was delicious, only on the last morning it was changed to a buffet set up which was not as nice. The rooms are large with all facilities and a big comfortable bed. The location is at the hub of the town with many restaurants in walking distance. The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. WE WILL BE BACK.

We had a lovely time at the Sebel Mandurah, every thing was just what we expected, except the only complaint was we booked through luxury escape and where supposed to get a bottle of wine on arrival in our room. When we asked about it we were told to have a bottle that was on our room only to get charged at the end of our stay which was rectified with the front office manager on departure. Would love to come back next time we are in Mandurah.

Quite a nice stay great views and great location. The bed, pillows and shower were great as well but the lady at the reception ruined all of that by the way she managed our check in. From start to finish she was rude, arrogant, and un-professional. If I hadn’t already paid for the non-refundable room prior to checking in I would’ve walked out!!!

« Lacked the facilities I was expecting and noise from neighbouring restaurant excessive »

I paid what I considered a high price and expected more comfortable chairs and working facilities in my room, a lounge bar and internal restaurant. I also expected parking close to the hotel, not in a public car park. Initially I admired the water view from my window, but I could not open the window because I did not understand the locking system which makes it necessary to slide the 'wrong' window to open it. At night I could not sleep because of the noise from the neighbouring restaurant and had to ask to be moved to another room at the back of the hotel which had a much smaller balcony and no water view.

We are happy with the stay. Location is good. Hotel is very new and well furnished. We were put in a corner unit with balcony which was good and had beautiful water view. Check in was fast and staff were very friendly.

Sebel is a really nice hotel in that we had a pretty good king room with all the usuals and a decent bathroom with an excellent shower. We paid a bit extra to have a water view of the inlet. Not a lot of activity other than at weekends but we did see a couple of dolphins and some water birds. Shame the balcony furniture is smart wooden slats because it is actually quite uncomfortable. Cheap plastic would have been a much better option. I got the comfortable experience I wanted at the Sebel but it is a rather basic place. There is no car park so guests have to use a public car park behind the building. There is no restaurant although I suspect the quite reasonable "Peninsula" on the water front floor is actually associated with the Sebel, and I would also guess the Oceanfront Grill on other side of the marina is also associated because their menu is word for word identical. The Sebel pool is rather hidden on the ground floor and so unadorned it is almost as if they don't expect anyone to use it. Similarly the breakfast arrangement is a tiny room off reception and quite expensive as an extra which is why we never used it. Essentially there are plenty of good food options in the immediate area which is probably why the Sebel do not try to compete. If you want a quiet few days then Sebel is a nice place but if you want to spend afternoons relaxing on the balcony with a glass of wine, bring a couple of cushions then will be fine.
