I was staying in the hotel, the accommodation was paid by my company but still, the hotel charged me again for everything. Even after addressing the issue, they have not returned my money back. It is so unprofessional.

Second 3 day stay at Q Station. On both occasions my stay was enjoyable, well catered for, staff were attentive, helpful, and professional, and the food enjoyable. I enjoyed the room I stayed in first (40) much more than the room I stayed in this time (33). Better airflow, not as stuffy, and I intensly disliked the open manhole in the roof directly above the bed in room 33. Why do this?!! My stay at QS this time was pleasant but NOT restful, I believs in large part due to the large hole in the roof above the bed! One last thing. I accidentally locked the door and had to wait 55 minutes for someone to come to open it. Between 7-8am. I had a scheduled meeting at 8am. I found this delay, without any apology, totally unacceptable.

Our group are all well travelled but found Q Station super.Comfortable. Original. Quiet. Something for everyone. Most things we needed. 6 person cottage but only 3 wine glasses!! A simple fold out airer for drying would be handy for swimmers/towels etc. Shuttle and drivers excellent. Reception staff friendly and informative.

Interesting and peaceful location. We felt that we were staying 100 miles from the city. We enjoyed swimming at the private beach and loved exploring the historical sites. We really enjoyed the Ghost Tour with our excellent, informative and sensitive guide Brandon.We did not need to leave Q Station for the duration of our stay because there was so much to do. Our room was great ( Rm 9 - First Class Quarters) however the overhead fan made a buzzing sound at night which was annoying when we were trying to get to sleep. Food at the Boiler Room Restaurant and outside bar was great. Breakfast was OK but I was expecting a greater choice

« the service was excellent but the amenities pathetic »

I cannot believe that an accor hotel would consider offering such a low standard of accommodation.The were no fly screen doors and no windows so the only ventilation was through the French doors and even when open they were totally inadequate when they were shut at night the inside became stiflingly hot. We were told that because it ws a heritage building that air con was not permissible which in a room with hot and cold running water electric bed heaters and ensuite facilities is just ludicrous. At the very least it would be easy to set up a ducted fan from the area below the room to provide fresh air as the air outside the room was comfortable. Also it should be possible to install some roof ventilation. The shower facilities were below standard my wife had great difficulties as she has had two knee replacements and nearly fell every time she had to climb over the bath to get to the shower. The concept of making everyone carry their luggage quite some distance to load it into a minibus and then get delivered to your accommodation with minimum guidance.At the least you could allow people to drive their cars to their accommodation on arrival and then from there on departure. Having had the above winge which is probably(I hope) redundant because if you are not aware of this then there is no hope for your company I must add that the staff were excellent pleasant and cooperative and the meal in the boilerhouse was of a high standard as was the breakfast. As a final comment I went to another luxury escape recently and on arrival was given a detail brochure together with coupons for all the extras

The room on 13th at the Q station was very hot at night. No windows would open although the over door original vent was there but painted over so was inoperable. The fan worked silently only on maximum speed so noisy too. One cant' leave the doors open as the outside verandah is a thoroughfare.

We were given what they call honeymoon room way up top of hill very quite area , we were two sisters in our 70&80 years. The bed was 3ft high a big old 4 poster. Both short in height, asked if we could change room but was told the place was 98% booked, we asked next day & they moved us down closer to dining area & see views much better.

I was very disappointed. I stayed here for a work conference and will not be returning. There wasn't much variety of food particularly being gluten free. The food that was on offer was limited, undercooked and raw. After speaking to the staff about the raw chicken, I was ignored and given an excuse. I was left feeling hungry and sick and decided to leave early due to these experiences.

« A lovely stay spoilt by noisy neighbours. »

We returned to q station with eager anticipation on a luxury escapes package. We loved the setting as usual, the restaurant and the wildlife however our second night was almost sleepless due to very noisy neighbors who continued well into the early hours with very loud alcohol fuelled behaviour outside on the verandah. Perhaps you need security to oversee such behaviour and have a curfew, say 10-11 pm on noisy outside gatherings.

« Great experience at the Q Station »

Check in was easy! The room was clean & comfortable, although very hot! Beautiful filtered view to the harbour! Our room was next door to the guest lounge & as it was too hot to leave the doors closed other guests kept us awake, so we would chose a different room next time! We luved wandering around the many fascinating buildings & learning the history of the Quarantine station!

Overall a satisfactory experience. I found a 30mm long Bull Ant in my unit S16 which was a concern, but no harm was caused. We had catered buffet lunch at the Views, the chicken wing I served myself was very undercooked, and I couldn't eat it. Check-in staff and drivers were very friendly and helpful, our attendant on check-out Dani, gave us excellent customer service. Overall a positive visit, thanks.

We stayed for two nights on a luxury escapes deal. The package was good value in a Harbourview room. Breakfast was a reasonable offering although was not properly replenished on the second morning which was a Monday. Other guests came in after us at 9:30 and I think they would have been more disappointed with the yoghurt, berry compote and stewed apple finished. Housekeeping could check things a bit better as there were no tissues and the toilet paper was running out in our room. Also some dust and mould issues on the blind and curtains. I think if npws would allow it that a screen door or screen would help to get some sea breeze in at night as we weren't comfortable leaving the door open and it was quite warm. Overall the staff were very helpful and friendly. A nice stay. Quarantine site Tour guide lady was very good
