« A very comfortable stay for the two of us. »

Friendly and helpful staff at checkin and the great service continued during our stay. Clean room, as well as a very comfortable bed made our stay very enjoyable. The only 'slight' negative was the Sunday breakfast, counter food ran out and also slow to get our order. (It was quite busy and perhaps not enough staff at that time)

My husband and I booked 1 night at the Sebel and were very impressed with the hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable.The Sebel is within easy walking distance to all of the places we were going to visit while on our stay eg Queen St Mall, King George Square, The Treasury Casino.The breakfast was reasonably priced and very delicious too.

Staff helpful, difficult entry through front door in manual wheelchair and some maneuverability issues in lounge room with the wheelchair. Bathroom was quite good but there can be issues with getting toiletries from back of cupboard when guests are in a wheelchair.

Always enjoy staying at The Sebel in Brisbane, however it’s annoying that I have to continually follow up for invoices. For whatever reason my details are always changing in your system. Credit card drops out, email changes etc. as at today 4th Dec, I’m still waiting for my invoice from last week. Note on checkout the lady confirmed my email. Frustrating! Please fix it !

Hotel staff very courteous, room was good. I had a bad experience with parking on arrival. There is no clearing signed area to park your car, or what to do with your car upon arrival. I arrived at a time when parking at the front of the hotel (on the street) was a problem. Hotel staff said it was dangerous to park out the front during peak traffic times. There is no clear alternative to park anywhere else. Was stressed out over what to do with the car when all I needed to do was check in. Was told to drive around the block again and drive into the undercover car park entry and stop at the boom gate. They said they would see my car on the screen and open the boom gate for me. I did this, then sat at the boom gate for 5 minutes waiting for it to open. I could not find a button to press to contact them. Other motorists were getting angry with me just sitting there blocking the way. Ended up having to leave the car and walk back into reception to remind them about the boom gate thing. They had a laugh and said they were sorry and had not noticed me sitting there on their monitor. Got parked up finally after that and checked in OK. But it leaves you feeling a bit stressed and stupid, when all it takes is some clear signage and a clearly marked place for you to park when arriving and checking in. The street parking is a 'clear zone' during peak times, and the check in staff told me it is dangerous to park there at these times. That is understandable, but the alternative needs to be clear when you are driving in. On check out I questioned the dining charges as they were not discounted as per the Accor cardholder rates advertised. The young man working didn't not know what to do, went is search of help but everyone was busy and could not assist him. It was a 15 minute delay before to was sorted out, and made the drive to the airport a bit more of a push so I could stay on time. It wasn't his fault, he was clearly new to the job, but the backup should have been more readily available to him, so the delay was not so long. I have stayed at this hotel a few times and it is a hotel I have always liked, location is suitable to what I need when in Brisbane. This last trip was a bit soured by mainly the parking issue, so I won't go there again if I have a vehicle to park. I feel like a whinger, as I have read hotel feedback on websites and some people go on about stuff that seems totally 'over the top'. I don't believe I am like that. It is just that this experience I thought would be feedback that was about an issue that I believe is an important one. I know I won't go to the Sebel again if I have a car, even though they promote that car parking is available in the booking page. Sorry for the rant, but if this feedback improves the experience for future hotel guests, then that is surely a good thing.

« Great service, good food, comfortable and large accommodation, small meeting space »

The ladies were extremely helpful during our stay, and we were quite happy with this. The food was good, and the dietaries were accommodated for. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, clean and the rooms were large. The meeting space itself was too small for the amount of customers we had in the room. I was unable to do a site visit, but was assured that 4 tables of 8 would be comfortable. We were quite squashed and it would've been much better to have the additional boardroom for this size group.

One lift not working making it a slow process when using the lifts. Poor service at breakfast at The Croft. When logging onto the internest it requests a short feedback on the hotel. After completing this twice, there was no feedback
