« Fairly disappointing with a few shining stars. »

We checked in to a king deluxe room which had a really disappointing room. The room itself didn't blow us away, but cleanliness was overall good. Getting in to settle down for the night we discovered the TV didn't work at all, and had been switched off at the wall for some reason. We called and waited 10 or so minutes a helpful young gentlemen came to try and fix it he said he would send maintenance to look at it. We waited around an hour before being called that there was no maintenance in at this time and were offered a room change, which we accepted. Our new room had a working tv (with very visible screen burn) but two double beds which was a bit disappointing. We asked about free breakfast which wasn't freely offered although the first attending staff member had mentioned it if we couldn't find a resolution. Breakfast was good and the waitstaff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. We would only ever return to this hotel for the location at this time. Thank you for listening.

The welcome from the team was great room was excellent. However I am a member and had lost my card I advised the staff who aid they would add my membership details to the bill. This did not happen as i was entitled to a 10% discount which i did not receive

Pool access hours poor. Gym is lacking. Rooftop bar overlooks the lap pool, so poor privacy from drinkers. Tiny TV, and every hdmi port disabled. Could not even plug the laptop or chromecast in. The reception gave poor excuses for not being able to unlock the TV. Not good enough for $200+ a night.

Chair ripped and TV very small for room size. Given it was a 5 night stay, the tv was very disappointing. Raised it with reception & told he would speak to a manager. Nothing said or done. Bed comfortable, room dark which helped with construction noise next door. Egg lady Euna at breakfast venue was great.

Everything was top notch except for the internet. Firstly, as a business user I need internet and I would in this day and age a hotel like would offer complimentary internet to the guest let alone charge $10 for basic 3Mbps internet.

Location was great in CBD, and really liked the breakfast buffet with omelette station. Room was a little dated but have everything you need. I was there for business trip but I'm not sure if the reception assumed I was there to attend a conference held there so assigned my room on level 4 close to conference with a balcony that joins onto a courtyard, which I didn't like and found it a bit noisy.

The food was lovely both breakfast and dinner. Disappointed at happy hour signage that said 'all' drinks 20% off between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. Apparently 'all' drinks didn't include cocktails! Rather than argue, we just paid full price for them and other drinks.

Very quick and efficient at reception which was very good as we didn't receive the usual Accor email allowing us to check in on line. Room was very clean and spacious which made for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast brunch and the a la carte menu were very good with excellent service from the staff. The hotel is situated right in the centre of the city with plenty shopping, restaurants and the train station all within a short walking distance' Would definitely recommend the hotel for a stay in citizen

A good stay but definitely areas to improve. Facilities are shared with sister hotel The Mercure, so whilst the rooftop pool is beautiful, its a small area and is shared by both Pullman and Mercure guests, so getting a square block or lounger takes a bit of luck as there's not much seating, and even more luck to get a pad or cushion. Most of the hard square blocks did not have cushions. This was disappointing, you hope with a 5 star hotel you could comfortably relax by the pool, I can only imagine how chaotic it must get in warmer months. We enjoyed an exceptional dinner at Goldfinch. Other onsite food and beverages we had were in the Exec Lounge, and the guy looking after guests during the evening appertivo was a real asset to your team, I'm sorry I didn't get his name. The cooked breakfast was good, the continental options were a bit sparse if you didn't want cooked. A tip for planning your trip - the rooftop bar Sixteen Antlers is closed on Sundays! On checkin we were told it was a great spot for an afternoon or sunset cocktail, but unfortunately she didn't tell us we'd have to do it Saturday as its closed Sunday! We had an issue with keycards during our stay. The first set didn't access the club lounge, when we got new ones we were reassured our late checkout time had been cut onto the key card. It wasn't, and worse still I only discovered this going from the pool to the bathroom. Both doors to the pool were locked, my keycard was no longer working (it had worked on these doors earlier) and I was trapped in a bikini - fearing I would have to go down the lift to reception in my bikini (16 antlers was closed too) when luckily someone in the pool finally heard me banging on the door. Small improvements could make a huge difference: better lighting in the bathroom; bigger TV screens (thankfully we got to catch the game we wanted in the Exec lounge which has huge screens); and keycards that work! Also consider opening 16 Antlers on Sunday - what an amazing spot for a lazy Sunday afternoon!!

Excellent customer service from al staff. Catering at QCS function very delicious and perfectly presented food and staff were very helpful. Room was booked for overnight stay and was of a high standard. Bed was comfortable, clean linen and shower pressure was good /bathroom was large, clean, roomy. Full size ironing board was a bonus and plenty of lamps to provide light.
