Very ordinary service unfortunately. Breakfast was terrible...hot food was cold, coffee was cold, apples were old and wrinkly, no one was cooking the eggs when we dined in, service was slow....and our offer included a bottle of wine on arrival, which we had to chase up!! Not to mention the parking fees, which were included in our rate, which were charged for...still waiting for refund a week later!! Very disappointing this stay!!

I was travelling for work and checked in after 8.30pm, checking out at 7am. Bed was comfortable but, despite the note left for me stating that Hot Water would not be available between 11pm and 2am, there was no hot water at 6am when I was preparing to check out.

« Disappointing air cond not working and following morninjg no hot water - not good enough -for price of room »

On arrival the air conditioning was not working and the room was very cold. The following morning there was no hot water in my room and also my colleague's room - very disappointing as we had 6 hours to drive home. The staff said it would be on around 9.30 am however we had to leave earlier. On the positive the meal was excellent in the restaurant. The small cafeteria - food was burnt. Overall not the best experience for a corporate venue.

Check in was a bit rushed. Room was nice but needed maintenance. Tap on left basin kept leaking and basin was cracked. We rang about the temperature in the room (it was too cold), and I had to ring a second time before someone came to check it. He told us to ask for a heater if the heating didn't come on. He also told us that the tap needed a new cartridge but they had run out. Well, we decided just to use the basin on the right. Since we were going out for dinner I waited till the next day before I requested a heater which was delivered fairly promptly. Breakfast was very good, a wide choice and lots of healthy options. Staff were very friendly.

Hotel was clean and service (checking in and out) was quick and efficient. The room was incredibly dark though - could definitely use some more lighting as it was very difficult to work in the room with such poor lighting both during the day and at night.

« Good service, nice and comfortable hotel »

Had a good experience, hotel is very nice and reception friendly and prompt. Only issue was room service - made a booking, they said 20mins or so, and 40 mins later still nothing, when I called they said they were very busy so I cancelled. When I went to pay they had not removed the charge, but the reception did so when I said the order had been cancelled. So still overall a very good experience. Hotel should also include a 'Do not disturb' sign, as I couldn't find one to use and put on the door. Hotel should have a little instruction sheet that tells you the basic things you need to know about the room, I've never been in a hotel that does not have this, except for this one.
