Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There were plenty of lights in the right places and also hooks and towel rails in the bathroom which we often find isn't the case. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We found the cafe in the foyer very disappointing and hardly worthy of the name. We wanted coffee and cake at about 3 but there was nothing left to eat in the showcase. The bar didn't open till around 3pm and was very understaffed and thus inefficient, particularly on Saturday evening with an influx of guests attending various different functions. Again, barely worthy of the name bar.

It was a nice stay. Staff service was good, probably not the same polished level of say a crown hotel but it was nice. We had a cocktail and it was pretty good. We were thinking of getting room service food but had no idea what it would be like so ate out instead. We spotted a dessert being delivered that looked nice and would have ordered it ourselves if we weren’t full. Maybe if we saw more pictures of the food offerings we might have ordered it to begin with.

Bed was a little hard for me, and the fact it was 2 beds made into a king bed made it uncomfortable for me. Add the noise from Queens rd and I didn't get much sleep night one. perhaps include earplugs in front rooms??? and I had to get better pillows second night too. Check in was lovely. while the food in general was wonderful, the "Dietary restrictions food was awful to terrible. Gluten free, fructose free, people don't want these allergies; they certainly don't want to be provided with a "make your own sandwich" bar at a conference. They pay the same money, so they should get a reasonable quality of food. It is as if none of your chefs understand the importance of delicious food for EVERYONE.

Overall very positive. There were issues with the bar fridge which was quickly remedied. Room service was excellent and quality of its food lovely. I wasn't thrilled with the breakfast though as the first day I did the full breakfast and found the eggs really ordinary so kept to the continental.

Frustrating on a number of accounts 1. Carpark was full - I had to park in the GreenCo carpark and pay $80 for my 2 day stay. 2. As a Le Accor Gold Member I was told I couldn't check in early at 12.30 and was told to come back at 2pm. I came back at 2pm to be told my room was still not ready and to come back in another 30 minutes. Also frustrating to wait about 15 minutes in line at 12.30. 3. I booked 2 rooms on my gold membership - only 1 seemed to be upgraded

When I booked I requested interconnecting rooms, then when I checked in they said they couldn’t get this for us, but said the rooms would be next to each other. Then we were given rooms on completely different levels, which was disappointing

You always hope for an early check-in at a conference, but that was not to be, despite a very early arrival before most of the other attendees. I can cope with that. What was disappointing is upon my arrival at my room, I saw some clothes crumpled up on the cleaner's trolley. On second glance, they were mine!!! Not sure why my wool coat and spare shirt that were dropped off upon my early arrival where crumpled and on the way to the bin. I'm glad I was able to rescue them before they got thrown out, but they will need dry cleaning. The room is very nice, but the buzzing due to the plant equipment next door could surely be sorted through proper sound proofing of the western wall of room 7506. It drove me to leave the radio on all night, which led to a less than perfect sleep. That said, the facilities are generally good and the valet parking was reasonably efficient.

The hotel and staff are fantastic. Kathy in the Exec lounge was very attentive and made everyone feel like VIPs. The only downside was the fact that there were so many conference delegates around and it made getting breakfast each morning more difficult than during my last stay. Had to wait for a table.

« Noisy room »

The hotel itself was very good but my room on the 9th floor was next door to a cleaners closet or some other room for staff. Each morning at 5.45am, the door to that closet/room was opened and slammed shut and then lots of loud banging and clanging happened there. The noise carried right through into my room. Being woken at 5.45am for 3 mornings in a row did not make for an enjoyable stay. My guest room should either not be used for guests or the people who use the closet/room next to it should be told be be respectful of guests.
