Housekeeping lost sentimental item

I lost the item a couple of days into my stay and housekeeping found it. I emailed them back saying that indeed the item was mine and if they could send it back. Very poor communication by them as it took 3 days for them to get back to me and I ended up going to front desk to ask due to the delay. Front desk were an amazing help. After a week of staying there, the item had still not shown up. On the last day of me being at the como before leaving to go back to Perth, they finally emailed back saying that they could deliver it to the como. I said that I was leaving that day immediately after they emailed me and they didn’t email back for another 2 days. I ended up going back to Perth and I recieved an email saying that I would have to pay for the return of the item back to me, and they didn’t hesitate to remove the postage from my account. I called them and let them know that housekeeping had lost the item and I shouldn’t have to pay for it. After a while, they agreed that I shouldn’t have to pay for it. The item was sent and I received it 2 weeks later from when I got back to Perth. If you decide to bring anything sentimental don’t expect a fast reply if it gets lost, bit of a disappointing service on housekeepings part.

There were mice in the hotel and a mouse in my room and that made my stay unpleasant.

Everything would have been great had I not had a mouse in my room. The manager on duty when I saw the mouse in my room and reported it, did help me move to another room, on another floor. However, he didn't even offer to reduce the rate or give any other compensation accommodation. The next day, another associate of mine also staying in the hotel, but on another floor also had a mouse in his room and reported it. It seems the hotel has a rodent issue. After my associate had a mouse in his room I decided I wanted to leave the hotel because I couldn't be certain there wouldn't be another mouse in my new room. So, I had to find and move to another hotel mid week. It was very stressful since I was there for work and had to make new accommodations. I asked about a reduced rate or a night taken off my bill and the manager did nothing. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend the hotel.

So close to cinema and shops. We enjoy every time we stay here and the rooms are great. We had a very luxurious room this stay and hope to get this room again soon
