I stayed at the Sebel Manly on the evening of 17th September, the stay was associated with a two day work conference, however it was also my sons 2nd birthday - so I brought them along too! The staff made the whole experience wonderful. I had made a note in the room booking that I was bringing my wife and son, and all I can say is that the Sebel staff read this note, welcomed us with open arms, and truly went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable staff. First of all, they allocated us to an amazing room overlooking manly beach. Then, they allowed early access to the room which was a huge help given it was a rainy day. Once in the room, we were amazed to see that the staff had written a birthday card for my son, and left some cupcakes and sparkling water. Honestly, it was a great experience - and we really appreciated the lengths that the hotel staff went to for us.

As owners we enjoyed staying in our room, but we are always suprised by the changes to the contents of the unit which are made without our consultation eg carpet which we do not likea and hideous lampshades which are very dangerous as their height and design make them unstable

Great over all. Lovely rooms although price a bit steep. Handy location to beach and shops and ferry terminal. However we weren't impressed with the building site right in front of us the noise was constant from seven in the morning to most nights till Five and on Saturday till noon, not what I came on holiday for, especially for eight nights. As I had booked a few months in advance it would of been nice to be warned about this. After four days we did complain and we were moved but to a smaller room and just as equally noisy room and also had a constant water running noise in the kitchen ceiling, seeing how we had already complained we didn't like to complain again.

We absolutely loved our weekend at your hotel, the recently renovated rooms in the front building are beautiful. we were away with my parents staying on the same floor so both rooms were lovely. Unfortunately we had a raging bucks party in the room next door for the 2 nights we stayed and didnt get much sleep at all. We had mentioned it about 4 times downstairs. The guys were all good blokes it was just way too many people coming and going all weekend. we noticed that lots of them had rooms throughout the hotel. We had an awesome weekend away, the room was large, clean & comfortable with an awesome view over the ocean. The hotel itself was also clean & well presented, the staff were friendly & very professional. The only downside was that the TV reception was terrible especially for the footy finals & rugby world cup. With the view off the balcony it wasn't that big a deal.

Nice and clean, nothing too flash and a bit expensive. There was quite a bit of noise coming from the nearby building works and the unit directly in front of us their light flashed all night long which was very annoying whilst sitting on the balcony. But overall a nice convenient place to stay.

« Great staff, poor room facilities...was actually disappointed »

Staff were very accommodating, polite, responsive and eager to help. I was walked over to the next door tower, which was great but not nice to be in that tower anyway. Bed was great but pillows were poor, synthetic and uncomfortable to sleep on. Bedside lamps operated manually and the on/off switch fell beside the bed which made it difficult to get to without bending. Also, there are no central light switches by the bed. Desk area also had no lamp. Actually there was a wall lamp but I could not work out how to turn it on. Room size was good. Bathroom was good.

We had a two night stay and invited friends who stayed as well. We all enjoyed the location, the rooms, and the staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble when asked. Would differently recommend it as beach across the road, restaurants next door and short walk. The rooms are beautifully finished and a pleasure to stay.
