I just wanted to pass on compliments for our stay at the Quay West Suites, Melbourne. I booked the 3 bedroom apartment online (Reservation number NGRSJKMJ) as our son Taj was ticking over his first decade(..10 years old!) and we wanted to celebrate this big milestone with a fancy stay in a fancy city hotel. I emailed ahead to let the staff know of our extra special birthday stay and have been blown away with the responses and service we have received. It’s obvious staff here are very happy and treated very well plus the hotel itself is astounding. Special mention to Natalie at front desk. She was so warm and kind and made checkin a breeze. We had an entertaining and interesting chat about a poo museum! She is fantastic. James also at front desk, was cheeky yet professional and specifically helpful with assisting my In laws. In fact my father in law later told me, unprompted, ‘James was really good and made everything so easy’. Another staff member who again had a relaxed and courteous manner was Malcom. Specifically I spoke to him on the phone and he assisted with dining options for us. He has a very friendly tone and nothing was too much for him to help. Now, to the room and facilities. Room number 1906…AMAZING! My breath was taken away as we entered the apartment. The size is huge and it’s large enough for our family to live in (can we? Please??). The numerous balconies have the best view of the city and Yarra I have EVER seen. 3 very spacious bedrooms with perfect bed comfort. To cap it off, not long after we entered the apartment, the birthday boy screamed out ‘ this is the best hotel room I’ve ever been in!’. It melted our hearts. We also took a dip in the pool before dinner and it was lovely. The size was perfect for a leisurely swim for us 2 grownups plus just right for our budding Thorpedo son to do some laps. We still have 1 more night here but already my family are talking about staying again next school holidays. I must be honest, we often stay at Mövenpick Melbourne with the lovely Cory and his fantastic team but now we may have to split our time between. Oopsees! We’re all very, very happy with our stay.
