The accommodation was adequate, the room was very tired but clean, the carpet and paint work in the corridors was old and threadbare in places, the stained and chipped paint made the experience less than it could have been. Our room was supposedly an upgrade that we paid extra for to overlook the park, however the windows were so dirty that the view was spoilt.

« Good vakue for money »

No real issues. The only thing was that we went out in our car one day and when we returned the carpark was full due to the number of conferences at the hotel. The issue was sorted out by one of the concierges and all ended up good.

I had to make a late hotel booking for a conference I was attending in Albert Park and managed to find rooms for my stay via the Accor website. I had to make two separate bookings (27-29 and 30 October) online to cover my entire stay as there were no rooms available for the entire duration. After making the booking, I phoned the reservations team and spoke to Selly who was fantastic. Selly organised for my two bookings to be combined into one reservation and managed to find an available room (for a small upgrade fee) that was available for all three days. This meant I wouldn't have to check out and check back in to a new room. Selly made everything work very quickly and smoothly. The hotel was great and the staff friendly and helpful. My room had a lovely view over Albert Park, the breakfast was quality, and the health and fitness centre (especially the sauna) were very good. I will certainly be staying here again the next time I'm back in Melbourne.

Originally tried to book Pullman but it was full. Then tried Mercur not initially realising it was the same building I would have thought the Staff could have offered a Mercure room without me having to ring the Mercure The fire alarm Friday morning was an exciting accurance at 0120 The 30 mins to all clear seemed forever Had a good conference and lovely stay thank you

We stayed at the Hotel 28 years ago on our 10th wedding anniversary 15 /08 /1991 It was a surprise to my wife were we were going this time. She didn't recognise the place. Of course it was called the Raddisson then. We got a little bewildered with the lift initially because we were not using our card at the same time and it wouldn't go up, but another patron gave us the right information and all was good. The food was great, and my wife loved doing the parkrun around Albert Park lake.

I slept well, the food was great, the room was surprisingly quiet. I was a little concerned, there appeared to be toothpaste smeared on the wall behing the toliet, it was there when I arrived and still there when I left. Please consider putting clocks back beside the bed. Also, as I left the carpark, the exit ticket machine took my pass and didn't open, thus holding up at least six cars behind me. The wall phone - I presumed to reception - wasn't answered (rang out) until the third try. While the technician arrived quite quickly his tone and comment "you've jammed the machine" was hardly appropriate.

« Rude, disappointing, unhelpful, loud. »

My booking was made via our corporate travel organisation (Concur). The reception would not allow me to check in as it could be considered fraud. I understand they needed a credit card authorization form completed but they were rude, pushed me aside, and left me waiting. Then the room was loud due to some function. Nobody from my team will chose this hotel moving forward after the rude experience at Reception upon check in.

The staff are all helpful and accommodating specially the staff at the restaurant where we had our buffet breakfast , who helped me get my soy mocha from the cafe outside at it is not available at the restaurant However, I’m disappointed at the room itself. It badly needs updating specially the bathroom. Didn’t get a good sleep at all as the aircon again is old and I can’t get the right temperature. It’s good that I paid a discounted rate for checking in late at 10pm, because I would not pay full price for the room that we were given.

Mine was a short stay, in around 10:30pm and out at 10:00am the next day. Room was spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. Negatives were - TV was not working on arrival, slight leaks from 2 taps in the bathroom, and when the toilet was flushed water spilled onto the floor.
