excellent. my only comment for improvement would be the quality of the gym. It is OK, but could benefit from additional equipment and space to enable more people to work out at one time. During the early evening hours, it is a bit cramped for space.

Overall good stay. Staff friendly and efficient. Good level of service. 2 comments for improvement: carpet in the room should be changed (looks very old and dirty) and price of wine is to be relooked at (cheapest wine is 9000CFA per glass).

« For a long stay, a rather unsatisfactory experience »

I am in Sofitel since September 2018, in a small apartment (18). Service has been just sufficient: the cleaning is done without particular care for the long stay: only routine cleaning as per daily rented rooms, no deep cleaning of carpet, curtains, sofa. Bottled water supply is unsuffcient and despite the long stay, only Wi-Fi service was good initially - it has been appaling for the last 3-4 months, since the fire. The hotel had a big fire in April, I had no AC or water for days - no support or compensation was offered. During the visits of my family, no additional attention...... Overall, for a 11 months client paying over 5000 US$ a month I would have expected a little more care and attention

« Overpriced, poor service, poor facilities »

I was very disappointed with the hotel. We were staying in the tower, which seems like the section where they place their unwanted guests. My room was very small and on the first morning the hot water was not working. When I asked to move rooms the receptionist tried to charge me extra for moving, but then eventually agreed to move me to a much nicer room. When I left I was charged for breakfast, even though it was meant to be included in my stay. They did end up giving me a refund for this, but staff were quite unwelcoming about doing so. Overall was pretty poor and not what I would expect from a hotel chain that is seen as being at the high end of the market. I won't be recommending this place to others, and will stay elsewhere when I next come to Abidjan.

« Nice enough hotel, service is a bit hit & miss »

I stayed with a colleague for a week (16th - 23nd) June. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful but were sometime unreliable or difficult to engage. Two examples as follows: 1) having placed an order at the reception bar I then waited outside for my drinks for 10 mins before having to return to the bar to remind the waitress I was still waiting. 2) at breakfast, despite there being plentiful, staff had to be called over to order coffee and or water & struggled with the simplest of English (a basic command of which I would expect in an international hotel).
