« I had greater expectations from a 5 star hotel as Novotel Candolim »

I want to thank Novotel for a luxurious swimming pool and a wonderful Kid's Day Care more than ever, it was an unforgettable experience. However, I am quite disappointed as to the room accomodations from both a hospitable and hygiene perspective. Much to my disappointment we've observed that there was water spill in our personal shower area which constantly made the floor mats damp with bath water and remained that way for the rest of the day. The wash basin stopper was faulty which was quite a hassle as this was my first experience with my one year old. I would do my baby's bottles in such an unpleasant atmosphere everyday. So was the bathroom exhaust fan which constantly left bad fumes/odour throughout our stay in your place. Besides, when I'd rung the front desk to check for a possible suite upgrade for my baby and us, he'd managed to take the time to inquire about the number of nights I may be requiring the suite for, now, upon revealing my room number and discussing that I'd checked in already, your Novotel representative had just immediately advised that there were no suites available without further explanation or even the slightest acknowledgement to sympathise your customers situation(my needs or point of the call). He failed to even check the need for an upgrade. It would've hardly bothered me if your staff was polite enough to say the needful before rudely slapping it my face that there were no suites available, he's just made himself too vulnerable to the situation with his rude attitude and when I was trying to voice this experience with another female representative (Manisha) at the front desk, she started apologising immediately without even letting me finish my side of the story as though it seemed like a regular episode to them. Bathroom smelled bad throughout and left floor mats damp, front desk morning staff was irresponsible and very rude when we called to check for a suite upgrade, there was absolutely no acknowledgement of the situation. Even your reservation staff representative (Bicky) was extremely rude at the time of booking ot stay at your place when we were inquiring about the room amenities such as a mini refrigerator and your staff mistook that for a complimentary round of drinks for a superior suite and started arguing about it and asking me upfront what my point was when I simply inquiring if your rooms were equipped with a refrigerator. So, all in all, not quite satisfied with the hospitality at your hotel. I expect more from a 5 star hotel as yourselves. I for one work for an International bank and have never treated my customers this way. Where does your brand reputation lie when you want to display such attitude with a customer whose simply inquiring about what's best at your hotel?! Honestly, I did not pay that kind of sum for the kind hospitality thatI received at your hotel. So I guess I'll just take my business elsewhere the next time I want to visit a five star hotel. Besides I am a privileged accor plus member and my husband is a Navy officer which must help you understand that we've visited some very fine hotels across the globe. The Novotel here at my place in Visakhapatnam is just exhuberant and the staff are all well trained and extremely polite about every customer need. It's just a shame that it couldn't have been better than that over at your place when the expectations are really big in a place like Goa. Thank you

It was extremely pleasant from the time we checked in. Room was clean, big and well maintained, staff excellent and good was great. Everyone was making our stay comfortable with a smile. Breakfast was sumptuous and in room food was tasty. What more one can ask for. In particular Mr. Chrysler, Mr Indra and Sachin (in esquare) were very helpful. Overall a great experience and we will definitely come back again. Thanks team Novotel.

Overall my stay at Novotel, Goa was good. It was really nice of Mr. Chris, to upgrade our room, since we were not at all satisfied with the one we got, which had a very strange smell. He was very hospitable. Also the breakfast buffet spread was good with multiple options to choose from. The spa was excellent, and we really enjoyed the services there. The pool is well maintained, staff is courteous, and my son and I enjoyed the fish spa. I was there with my husband and son, in the last week of October 2019, from 27th Oct - 31st Oct; celebrating my 15 years of Wedding Anniversary, and I believe that we had informed about this at the reservations desk to Ms. Jovita, at the time of booking, and we were told that we would get a cake or bouquet as a gesture for the same, but nothing of the same was done to make it special for us. This was a bit of a disappointment. Also I had to call multiple times to get a hair straighter, but kept on waiting, but there was no revert on the same. Other than these few hiccups, our stay was good, and will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family as well. The location is right in the heart of the city, and loved the entrance ambiance of the hotel.

It was not up to the mark, Mismanaged....breakfast Room was very small...Not even table to handle customer strength.... Have Booked 5 star hotel to get 5 star service but service was below average in fact we can say pathetic. Will not stay in future....will not recommend also!

i suppose to book place where we can have discussion with group of business delegates from my company, while check in i made a note that i need meeting room hire, she said sales team will get back , my meeting schedule at 10 am till 930 no one has contacted me even i keep a note before one day , at last at 10 am i used the room with help of one reception lady , there is guy who stand in front of the meeting room with swipe machine for payment, my meeting around 3 hours he stand over there like a watch men, he enquirer my guests when it will complete he need to payment , i felt some sad informt of my guests, we had a lunch at restaurants even i notice this same point and i leave my credit card with them for security purpose , but he was moving around with swipe machine, i am a person use to staty only with novotel where ever i go with world , but i really had very experience with ur team , at last for 2 hours meeting they charge me 12k , where there is no projection and TV is not connected , cofee they provided when we moved out the room

t was a really wonderful experience for us at Novotel, Candolim Goa. The Hotel is a class. Excellent in all ways. Right from the entrance, reception, pathway to the room, restaurant, pool area, room service etc. we were greeted courteously by the staff at all times. We had booked a Superior Room but due to some technical issues we were upgraded to a Luxury Room which was a real surprise for us. Mr. Ayush at the reception was really a great person and was helpful in all ways. The breakfast spread every morning was mouthwatering and there were local Goan and Maharashtrian delicacies everyday apart from a lot other food items to choose from. The Chef, Mr. Pradip is a wonderful person and he used to come at each and every table welcoming the guests and asking about their food preferences. He would also cater to some special needs put up by the guests which was an added bonus from his part. The Hotel is situated right on the main road and has easy access to the market and beach at a walking distance. But the Hotel also provided a free shuttle service to the beach. Plus it was also great as the hotel has a link to the Toy Club on Candolim Beach from where we used to have easy access to the beach. Apart from the hotel facilities we could also use the benefits of the other Novotel Property which is near by. To sum it all we had a great time and an amazing stay @ Novotel, Candolim Goa.

Hotel is in very good location. superior rooms are too good. All staff at reception are very cordial , well behaved and helpful. special mention for cizal at the reception counter. she very helpful and ever smiling. even at the restaurant the food was awesome but bit expensive as i ordered for dal which was costing rs.500 which is very highly priced. the staff at the restaurant area are very polite and service is very good. An overall a very lovely stay .

My stay was awesome Jus because of one person named Mousumi (mob no 86…) , I believe she was cust. Relation manager ... she was 24/7 available to help and has helped us to her full extent... without her help my stay would have been hell as other employees of your hotel where rude and un understandable ... I have lots of experience and incidents to share but I believe you will be least interested ..... hence in short my stay was saved my above captioned person .... lastly plz don’t keep identical breakfast daily it is so boring and on last day was was not willing to eat
