The hotel and staff were lovely, and the location was great, but like many modern hotels with limited window opening, the air-con wasn't sufficient to cool the room when the temperatures outside were in the mid to high 20's during the day.

« Nice clean hotel, but a couple of small things I would change »

My family of four (2 adults, 2 children) arrived mid-morning. Thought check-in was not until 3pm, we thought we'd see if we could get our room(s) earlier. The front desk staff was initially unable to locate our reservation. Finally after about 15 minutes, it was found. It was not "transferred" into the system to their system?? Not quite fully understanding that, as I booked on their website. I received an offer because of my family of 4, the second room at 50% off. Hoping our rooms would be connecting, I booked 2 suites. I was informed there was only 5 suites in the hotel, one on each floor. My kids are 10 and 13....so ok to be on a different floor, but with some discomfort. I was thinking we would be next to each other, possibly with a connecting room. The front desk clerk informed me that had our reservation transferred to their system, they could have informed us the day before about the layout. The staff at the front desk was very nice. The hotel was very clean and our rooms, very nice. Overall, we had a good stay, but it was annoying that our family was on two separate floors. May I suggest not offering a family deal like that if the rooms cannot be connected or near each other? It is very misleading to have the offer, but then not be near your children. I don't think the deal was intended to have 1 parent sleeping with 1 child in each room. We had to make a call to the US to try to figure out our cellular phone service and why it wasn't working in Germany. I thought the placard in our room said $1.50 Euro per minute. My husband may have been on the phone for a maximum of 10-15 minutes, and our bill for that call was $60 Euro. That is a hard to drink to swallow, but our fault for not reading the placard better.

Unfortunately for about 48 hours bookings made online were not transferred to the hotels directly. Due to this the team had to seach your reservation at first. I apologize for this waiting time. You are also right that the family offer normally should provide interconnected rooms. As this is not possible in our suites I asked our IT already to find a solution to block this category for family offers in future. As you were facing these problems I decided to refund you the telephone charges as a little compensation at least. I apologize for these events during your stay with us. This is not our standard and we have to improve. My colleagues and I are looking forward to your next visit, which I hope will leave you completely satisfied. Efficient check in process. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Fantastic shower. Excellent sleep quality. Located in a clean safe area. Few mins walk from U & S Bahn to anywhere. You can purchase the pubic transport tickets at reception. Food is very good quality. I thought the choice was a bit more limiting than the Novotel in Hochstrasse I stayed in last year but still found enough to sample and it's a much better hotel overall.

Overall experience was good, staff has been very responsive. However I found the size of room very small for a four star hotel. With two beds in the room for four of us there is hardly any space left. And the air conditioning was not enough though staff provided us with fans to compensate

One of your staff ( I m not able recollect her name but she was from Serbia is what I remember) at the reception changed our mood from grumpy/ tired to delighted. Wonderful hotel - fit for children, rich breakfast, great room and service. However, we where 4 people, 2 adults and 2 kids and everyday we didn't get towels for the kids and needed to ask from reception when we arrived at night back to the room.
