Very nice staff upon Check, Breakfast OK? Bed very good and quiet. Room furniture and Bathroom needs refurbishment especially at such price.

The hotel was poor for what Ibis Styles stands for. There was no warm water on the first night and the room wasn't verry clean. It looked like the curtains were not cleaned for years.

I was in room 54 and both the diverted in the shower (to switch from faucet to shower) and the tab in the sink (to lift the drain stopper) were broken. The shower one would work, but only half-way, resulting in water coming out of both the shower and the faucet... very wasteful. For the sink it really just never worked so I had to fill the tub to wash some delicates, again very wasteful. As for the breakfast, I always stay at the IBIS Louise when I'm in Brussels and more varieties would be nice! More hot food, ideally, but barring that even just varying the selection of cold cuts.

I was allocated room 80 on the 8th floor. Quite basic room and nothing near as good nor clean as the rooms in the Ibis Styles Stephanie which is fairly close by. The lifts were hopeless and one of the two lifts was out of action so long waits to get up and down from the room are required. I did notice a rather large unsightly stain and damage on the ceiling but just felt the room need decorating. However I was coughing all night long and couldn't sleep because of it. Also the room was so hot and there was no way to turn down the aircon. Because I couldn't sleep I woke up later than I wanted to and was running late for my meeting. When I woke up, the floor close to the bed was covered in white dust and big particles from the mouldy ceiling. I had been breathing this dust into my lungs all night long. No wonder I had been coughing. I complained that I didn't think the room was fit for sale to the receptionist in the morning but because I was running so late for my meeting I had to say I would resolve things on my return. However, when I did return to the hotel in the evening I was told that the hotel was full and I couldn't change the room. This was upsetting and as it was evening it was inconvenient to find another hotel and also hotels were full because of a Brexit meeting of ministers. The person on reception said I could tell the manager about the situation in the morning. Then i discovered that soap dispenser in the shower was still empty and the room cleaner hadn't replaced it so I called down and the person on reception came and replaced the soap dispenser. He said he had no idea the the room ceiling was in such a bad state. Also he couldn't do anything about the heat in the room. Once again I was coughing all night long and again could not sleep well. In the morning the same large amount of white dust and mouldy ceiling plaster debris was on the ground just as the day before. Again because of not sleeping, I got up late. When I went to check out I didn't really have any time to discuss the bad state of the room. The manager did offer a 43 Euros discount. However, this hardly seems adequate and as I was running late for my meeting and a rather large queue of people were waiting to check out with the sigle receptionist I was embarrassed to discuss the compensation further in front of all those people i was delaying. So overall the stay in the hotel was horrible.

Not the best IBIS I've stayed in, but I've stayed in nicer IBIS it wasn't great. Lots of water damage to the ceiling and walls, couldn't control the temperature and the windows barely opened because of work being done on the balconies so it was very warm. The walls are thin, and doors heavy so lots of slamming and noise kept me up all night. You got 1 free water when checking in, but on the subsequent days you didn't get a new one. For 125 a night I expected a bit more.

« Basic and nondescript hotel, receptionist does not speak Dutch »

Stay was pleasant enough. However compared to other Ibis Styles hotels that I have visited in the past, this one is very basic and nondescript. What annoyed me was that the receptionist cannot speak Dutch, one of the country languages! How you can work in tourism and not speak Dutch? I used to work in tourism and speak 6 languages.

The hotel is in a great location for tourists on sightseeing visits to the city of Brussels. The rooms are functional and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with anything. Garage parking is a real plus in the centre of a busy city like Brussels. There are some great little restaurants at the top of the Avenue Louise, which is only a short walk away. A great breakfast is provided and tea/coffee facilities are available all day. All this at an amazingly competitive price. Thank you to everybody at the IBIS Styles Brussels.

The bed was very comfortable although, as I was staying in an avenue side room, I was awoken a few times by noise. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable but lacking decor. The breakfast was varied and tasty! All in all I was happy with the accommodation (though I would preferably ask for a non-Avenue side room next time)

The stay in the hotel was very nice. great service at checking in. and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. just had issues with the staff with checking out. She was quit rude and very unprofessional. which was a same, since it put a unpleasend after taste in our memories of this trip.

This was our 4th time staying in this hotel. Everything was good except that the shower fitting fell onto my head while I was having a bath. It hurt but thankfully I didn't cut my head. The receptionist said they would arrange to fix it but this didn't happen. I was in room 82 with my husband.

When booked clearly requested for car park. Staff spoke in a rude way saying all was full and I wasn't entitled to one. Then room was dirty. Stains on bed, curtains, floor and chairs. Toilet not clean with hair all over the place. Air con broken. Breakfast disappointing from a Ibis hotel.

All in all it was good. The staff at reception were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable, which is the key thing I look for in a hotel. I only felt a little sick in the hall ways and around the eating area, the air quality was very low and it lacked a bit of fresh air. It was a bit too warm. For breakfast it would have been great to have the choice of other types of eggs, or a sausage, or more fresh vegetables, not just a few cherry tomatoes and two types of ham. Coming to Brussels on business, I often don't get a chance to eat until late in the evening so a solid breakfast is important and musli and croissant isn't enough. Otherwise, it suited all my accommodation needs.
