the DJ-played music at reception is quite a shock for me but in a nice way! I checked in just after midnight and the (loud) music was playing. I thought it's only during weekend but found out that it's every night! It was okay but too loud to have a decent conversation during check in process The room is clean, staff are polite specially at the restaurant. I highly commend excellent customer service of restaurant staff specially 'Mellor' (shaved head youngish guy. The in-room dining menu needs updating and the carbonara was very 'saucy' to my liking.

At the checkout, I was charged in USD but I received the invoice in Brazilian currency. I wasn't informed that I will be charged in USD and the exchange rate used was inaccurate. I came to know of the charges in USD once I inquired with my credit card company. I believe the hotel staff should ask/inform of the charges being in USD before making it.

« Relax night turned in a nightmare »

I was in this hotel to rest to a interview on the next day. With this in mind, i took a bath in the bathtub to relax and when i finished i tried to empty the bathtub. When the bathtub started to empty, a drain under the sink started to return smelly water. I reported the incident and they change the room for me, but it was a stressful experience pre interview.

I had some issues at the check in. However, it was immediately changed by the service I got the rest of the time. The service during the restaurant is simply amazing. From the moment we checked in until we checked out we were treated extremely kindly by the hotel staff, with attention to details, the hotel employees were always smiling. Great selection on the breakfast buffet and a kitchen staff ready to prepare any special request. The rooms are comfortable, with two large beds, also very comfortable. I specially liked the magnifying mirror in the bathroom, thou a small stool would be great to be able to sit and put the make up on. I would like to acknowledge the great work of Deborah from the front desk and Thiago and Melo from the restaurant staff. You certainly made a difference. We will definitively come back to this hotel in our next trip to Sao Paulo.

The hotel is nicely located, close to financial district and good restaurants. Have stayed there before and the attention was better than this time. I was given a two twin beds rooms on a third floor. The room was normal but had signs of not being renovated for a time: the walls to get to the room lacked of painting (painting had come off). I usually stay at queen or king sized room, kindly requested to change the room by calling to guest service. They promised to call back but it did not happen. Went to the front desk and the attention was not the kindest: they just mentioned that it was full house and it was my problem with the reservation, which could be true that the travel agency could have mistaken. Considering the 4 stars this is not a kind of attention one expects or recommends someone to stay there. Hope this improves together with a look on the condition of the rooms. Other than that the hotel is very good with an excellent breakfast and good gym.

Location is very good - close to Faria Lima and many restaurants. Comfy beds, friendly staff, and nice restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Found two minibar consumptions on my bill which I didn’t consume and had to call(sometimes 2 times) everyday for my complimentary water......
