Found a 10cm screw on pool and hotel staff didn't do anything bout it just say sorry.... Can't use the pool bcause its to windy amd no towel on the pool and also no staff watching there. The ac is not cold and call the maintenance guy but its arrive after 1.5 hours (second time calling)

Overall quite good, nice room facilities and services. however you should consider to add on a valet service specially for in-house guest who bring their own vehicle. Its not convenience for us to bring our own luggage from parking area in the basement and the bellboy seems not too responsive either. Bathroom cleanliness also need to be check and improved, I stayed for 3 nights, some dirt in the garbage no been cleaned up.

receptionis is less active and informative. I was pregnant and with 2 babies, when I entered the room it turned out I was given a smooking area. Room area smells of cigarettes. When checking in the receptionist did not ask in advance and even told me if the room was a smooking area.

The room is clean and spacious, especially the bathroom area. The facility inside the room (air-con, hairdryer, kettle) are in good condition. I really appreciate the housekeeper who clean the room, they offered more items that I may need. And they cleaned the carpet using vacuum cleaner which is unusual in the hotel, but I prefer this way. I requested for extra bed and iron - ironing board. They made sure to set it up immediately. They really made my stay memorable in Novotel Samator. The breakfast menu is beyond my expectation, since I read so many complaints toward the restaurant. The variation is good, and I love the local cuisine combination in the spread such as nasi liwet, klanting, lupis, jamoo. I really love how the chef cook the omelette, runny in the middle and perfectly cook. Kudos to the chef! Appreciate the staff's hardwork as well, since I notice that the number of staff is rather low for breakfast. Thank you for the restaurant staff. My experience with reservation team is started with challenging situation but ended up in sweet note. One day before my arrival, I received email stated that my credit card is rejected because it is debit card. I sent email immediately and I received response from the reservation agent. He managed to charge my credit card and the issue is solved. Eventhough it is a bit inconvenience, I really appreciate the prompt response from the reservation agent. However, apart from those pleasant experience, there are events that left bad taste on my mouth. 1. Upon check in, I noticed there is sign informing that in house guest entitled for free parking. I asked the receptionist agent about this (they did not informed us about it). And I registered the car plate in registration card. I was unpacking and rested in my room for 2 hours before going out. 2. The parking attendant (lady) at the exit of parking area asking for the parking fee. They informed that the car has not been registered. We asked them to check. Then, she asked the security staff to open the gate. 3. When I came back to hotel, I informed the receptionist again. Instead of verifying the data first, he immediately asked, "are you sure you have registered the car plate?" (it is not "have you registered the car plate"). 4. After registering the second time, the next day when we went out, the parking attendant (the same lady) asked parking fee again (60k IDR), when we informed she asked whether we registered/checkout at same day. And she insisted that we must report to front desk daily in order to get the car plate registered. We insisted that we stay, they called the front desk and finally they confirmed that we were in house guest. 5. When I came back to hotel, I asked front desk again to check. This time, the front desk agent confirmed that the car plate was indeed registered and the parking attendant should be able to check since beginning. And we did not need to register the car plate daily. As guest, I feel there is communication issue between those department. And it does affect my stay, since I was staying for 3 nights. What if I stay longer than that? Am I expected to report daily at the front desk to ensure that they parking is not charge. Plus, initially no one in front desk informed us about the complimentary parking. My suggestion if the parking attendant are not able to check through their current system, they could have the room card to be check (using the terminal) at check out/exit point. To ensure that the guest is not charge. Or if hotel change policy to start charging the parking fee, please include in the Accor website. Also, I booked Deluxe with Double Bed through Accor website, there is no information that the Deluxe with Double Bed is smoking room. But upon check-in, I have been informed that all Deluxe with Double Bed is smoking room. And the non smoking room is Twin Beds. It would be great if we know in advance through the room information in the web. Overall, my stay was okay (housekeeping and the F&B are the saving grace). However, I feel the service is below the Novotel standard. And to be precise, compare to the Ibis brand in the same area which suppose to be lower standard and facility, I am getting much better experience.

To my surprise, Novotel Samator improved tremendously since my last visit couple months ago. There were this foul sewer smell lingering maybe due to the hotel was newly build. But this time, everything was nice. I was called a day before my arrival as reminder. Check in was very brief and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and delicious, but I think selection should be improved.

We stayed in a suite room for a total of 4 nights in May 2019. The suite room was huge! Totally worth it for $100/night (without breakfast). It has its own living room, guest's toilet, separate rain shower & bathtub. The bed was also huge and comfy to sleep in, it can easily fit 2 adults and 1 baby in. On the downside, the room was super hot in the afternoon, especially the bedroom and bathroom, because of the location of the room and also because it only has 1 coat of window glass. Even though it uses a blackout curtain plus the AC runs all day long on the lowest temperature, the heat still goes through. Service was average, you have to register your car to get a free parking pass. In our case, the staff mixed up the notes so we ended up paying for parking for a couple of times. It's small money but when you pay $100/night you'd want a better service than that. The hotel doesn't have valet service which is a bit disappointing. The lift to the parking area is in a separate building so you have to get out of the hotel and then goes down to the parking lot. Overall, our stay was okay, nothing special about it except for the size of the room. Might or might not come back again.

I stayed for one night, the room was clean and tidy. The staffs also friendly and helpful. Not forget to mention that breakfast service was great. I love the idea of separation of the elevators, make it more convenience for guests. I definitely will stay again at Novotel Samator when I visit Surabaya.
