Second year we have stayed there. Only comment is for the Room and Reception as we did not eat in the Hotel. Receptionists were all very welcoming when entering and leaving each day.Directions into the town were offered on booking in, and a taxi was ordered on request and arrived within 5 minutes. Plenty of space in the room and all facilities were in good working order and cleaning each day was very good. Some people may find the pillows and mattress a little too firm, but perfect for us. Free safe and wifi provided in the room. A kettle, tea bags and coffee are in the room. Cartons of milk are skimpy but downstairs in the lobby there are unlimited supplies of milk and teas for you to take up as you enter the Hotel. The receptionist explained that only UK clients appeared to put milk in their tea!! The station is about a 10 minutes flat walk to the Hotel. The buses to and from the station also stop outside the Hotel. The walk to the old town is no more than 10 mins

The hotel met my expectations for a Mercure hotel: a no-frills hotel that offers a good price/quality ratio. This hotel is located conveniently close to the railway station and city centre too. The staff is cheerful, friendly and helpful too. Short story: can recommend.

« Nice stay in modern hotel »

The room on the 10th floor was very modern and comfortable. It was very close to the elevators and at night I could hear people talking loud waiting for the lift. But a part from that everything was fine in the room. The breakfast was varied and with plenty of different options. I would have appreciated some more previous indications about how to access the parking space at the other side at the building and how the ticket system works before arriving to the hotel. Upon my arrival I had to park that car outside, do the check-in and then get all the information. I would have appreciated to have a ticket to get in and out of the parking as many times as necessary per day, as it happens in other hotels.

I accidentally booked for the wrong day because when I hit the back arrow it changed the date to the current date. When I called a few days later about the charge they would not move the date to the date I wished to book and I still have not received credit for the billing in your rewards system even though the hotel told me they would give me credit. I am Diamond with Hilton and this will drive me to their properties when I get a choice between Accor and Hilton.

Firstly, the hotel was located in a great site, the Amersfoort Centre, in a leafy suburb of Amsterdam. Secondly, the stay there was uneventful from booking in to checking out - apart from maybe leaving behind two guitar picks in hotel room 608..! And finally, yes it has been a fine experience with the brand Mercure . Thank you.

All the staff are very good, the room is comfortable apart from little square pillows. Nice bathroom. Think the AC needs disinfecting though

« Executive Suite- Heater not working »

Although the room was beautiful, we had a really bad time trying to warm up due to the heater in the room not working. There was a fireplace which we used at nights for a couple of hours, however, we have a baby and it is not recommended to use it when she is awake and running around. Also, the a/c is automatic and it starts blowing cold air (supposed to be 25 degrees) in the mornings and an outlet is on top of our bed! So, overall, we had terrible time in the room due to the cold blowing a/c and broken heaters. We contacted the manager and a small heater was brought into the room which didn't work! The receptionists were rude and unapologetic.

Our maintenance team checked the heater in the room and found out that the window was not properly closed, in this case the heating system stops working. After we found out we have send you an email explaining this. Later we brought a portable heater to higher up the temperature in the room since our standard heating system only heats up in small steps at a time. We had a fantastic experience, the staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful, we were lucky enough to receive a free upgrade to a beautiful privilege room, we really liked the top quality room, we enjoyed our breakfast and thought all the staff were lovely especially the young lady on reception.

We were greeted with a lovely young lady on reception that couldn't be more helpful if she tried, she is a real credit to the organisation, not only was she efficient but very friendly and accomodating too, it was no problem to her calling us a taxi to where we were wanting to go and made us feel welcome with chit chat as we waited for the taxi to arrive, making an effort to converse in English despite it not being her native tongue. We had the added bonus of a free upgrade to a beautiful priviledge room on the tenth floor where the standard of accomodation was sublime with an amazingly large room immacutely laid out, at no extra cost. We enjoyed all aspects of our stay and found everyone friendly, the breakfast was delicious and good value for money

« Quite expensive for provided services. »

Well, check-in time was quite long and charging 50 EUR as reservation in the situation I have paid the accommodation in advance. After 1 week, still the amount is locked. Check-out time long, too. Difficult to issue a correct invoice.

Could hear guests in next room talking at normal sound volume at 4am. Hotel concierge itself was great and the parking and groceries next door was convenient, excellent location next to town. However for the price I was expecting a better night's sleep.

Nice room, in order, enough space in the room, had an ironing board, although the bathroom towels were a bit to small for showering and that there was no hand soap nor shower soap/shampoo available, they forgot it.

Everything was perfect with the hotel (location,facilities etc.), I was extremely satisfied except my last day in the hotel. The day before the last day, I have claimed to reception that I would like to have a late checkout. Fortunately it was possible, so we agreed with the reception that I will leave the hotel on 13.30. Despite I had a "do not disturb" sign on the door, I had been disturbed 3 times in the morning (2 times by house keeping, 1 time by reception) I would expect less disturbance in my last day. I would understand calling from the reception close to 13.30 in order to remind, but what was it for frequently asking the time for my leave by the housekeeper? Hopefully "do not disturb" sign would be taken into account much more by the housekeepers.
