Prompt check in and staff assisted with every request. Staff have gone out of their way to help me and make me as comfortable as possible especially with my medical condition - I always feel welcome. Would like to see a few more options on the midday room service menu.

Very helpful and pleasant staff in all areas . Very clean well appointed and quiet room with first class bed . Evening meal excellent , breakfast satisfactory. The only ‘downer’ was being asked to pay for parking which I thought was a bit tough given the tariff

« Overnight stay to fly out next day »

My stay was unexpected as I was unable to get a flight home on the evening I arrived. I had not been able to plan my flight time previously. So I booked a flight the next morning and chose to stay at this hotel as it allowed me to return my rental car, saving me overnight costs, and take a shuttle to the airport in the morning. The savings in the car rental helped justify the high cost of the room for the night. I enjoyed the restaurant and there is a bar as well.

« What? No food available? »

No coffee room service No in room dining Restaurant closed - on a Saturday!! We arrived late, all the local restaurants were shut so we went to bed hungry. Plus the TV kept turning itself off. I have stayed in Mercure hotels all over the world and this one was absolutely appalling. I could have got same service in a roadside motel for half the price.

« A mix of very good and average. »

The room and front of house staff were fantastic. Unfortunately the waitress who served me a glass of wine during dinner spilt the glass over my table, book and myself. Her clean up was average and so was her apology, I had to ask for extra cloths and she poured the remainder of the glass into another glass and charged me for the full glass. However the manager at the front desk sorted it out and helped me clean my white pants. The Room was good except for the GPO would not allow my MacBook Pro charger to fit as it was placed too low on the wall and the desk. AND I hate that your breakfast does not include a Barrister Coffee.

This is a great motel with excellent staff, the only concern I have is during my stay they run out of Tooheys Extra Dry in the Bar fridge and as they did not have any more stock they never replenished the Bar fridge unfortunatley this is not the first time this has happened, a simple fix would of been to replace with another brand of beer. Over several visit's they seem to have a problem with keeping the Bar stocked something that may need to be addressed.

Service in the restaurant let the experience down. Very slow to take order and knowledge of wine very poor. I ordered the lamb which was tough, it needed a steak knife. Wine selection was good, only the Tyrells Semillon was not available. The waitress did not know anything about whether it was available or not, or was she familiar with the term 'Semillon'. I opted for another wine, when it wasn't available, but it took two staff to work this out. I was not offered water until well into the meal.

Perfectly located and a great comfortable option for a 1 night stay before heading to the Hunter. Comfy beds and nice bathrooms with good water pressure. The large wall print above the bed was a nice touch too

Our room was large which was good, but the airconditioning would not cool down, it was so hot. We went to your restaurant and the service there was terrible. We only at 2 drinks, as the staff would not come near us. Had to actually flag them down and eventually came. The food was good. But it took for ages to get served, considering we were practically the only ones in there.

Good location at Newcastle airport. Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. The rooms are modern and if you like a view of the airport, it's available. triple glazed windows meant no noise. Happy hour everyday in the bar/restaurant.
