« Great friendly place to base yourself in São Bernardo but the breakfast and gym facilities need some attention »

Generally a very good place to stay in São Bernardo. The friendly staff were attentive and made my stay there a comfortable one. I valued the effort of the support staff who kept the rooms and public spaces exceptionally clean and tidy. However, three aspects spoiled my stay: the poor quality of the breakfast, bad condition of the gym and poor maintenance of the guest elevator. All of these really need some serious improvement. In the case of the breakfast, although the basic food ingredients are good they are spoiled by not keeping them well. For example, the scrambled egg, porridge, sausage, etc. are placed in open hot server dishes directly under a cold air-conditioning system which blows cold air directly onto the food. The result is a disgusting mess of congealed semi warm food that is inedible. The staff don't seem to notice this problem and the food is left to fester like this for most of the morning. The solution would be to use covered hot servers which would help protect the food and keep it in an edible condition for longer. This would also help the environment by not wasting energy trying to keep food hot in open servers being cooled by the breeze from the air conditioning unit. In the case of the gym area, dirty towels are left to pile up for days before being removed and fresh ones supplied. The water cooler is often left empty and there are hardly ever any plastic cups in the dispenser. The power supply plug to one of the tread mills is in a dangerous unsafe condition causing arcing and occasional loss of power to the mill. All this can be resolved simply by carrying out a daily inspection and maintenance of the gym area. Finally, the one of the main guest elevators in the building has been out of action since the beginning of the year. This means that there is often a lengthy wait time for the remaining operational elevator to arrive. Why is it taking so long to resolve this problem? Resolving all this problems would certainly improve the experience of staying in the Adagio São Bernardo.

The hotel is pretty new and the hotel rooms are nice, spacious and modern. Only the breakfast was not so good. Many items were empty and not directly refilled like scrabbled eggs, orange juice etc.. Also the service was too slow. Sometimes all tables were still full with used cutlery and one had to select the clean items to start your own breakfast.

Elevator was in maintenance for a full week. I suspect it has been that way for longer than that Fitness center thread mills need maintenance. Strange noises, sometimes get disconnected. there are no towels There were no glasses in the room . Requested by phone, never delivered. Tried to talk to the manager, who was not there. Related problem to the reception who didn’t bother to even ask my room number and had no reaction when I said that I would buy the glasses myself, which I had to do

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and this makes a big difference to the stay. The general cleanliness of the place is just great. However, the management of the gym faculties needs some improvement, i.e., dirty towels are left to pile up for days in the collection basket, often there are no cups or water in the water dispenser or fresh towels for the users. The equipment needs some basic maintenance work too, i.e., the treadmills are making a load squeaking noise and the wires on one of the weight training machines is frayed and needs replacing. The TV system is only working partially with some of the channels, i.e., CNN, not functioning, a situation that's been left to go unattended for several weeks. Several power blackouts that were local to the hotel made the stay difficult at times. One lift remains out of order for many weeks despite repairs being attempted. The breakfast is OK (the omelette and tapioca are great) but some things need attention, e.g., the scrambled egg appears to be produced once in the morning and then left to congeal and cool in an open pan like rubber. Other hotels have the skill at keeping it soft and fresh using a covered heated server.

Although it happened at the checkin, it was not the worse. When booking we received a price lower then what was charged, but as we didn't know it was an Accor hotel we didn't book with Accor. The EMail received didn't mention the rate, but we only noted that when we arrived. After completely installed in the room we noted one of the air conditioning sets wasn't turning on and when contacting front desk and management we were informed there wasn't anybody from maintenance anymore and the switch boxes, as probably it was a disconnected switch. The hotel offered to change rooms, but we were already ready to sleep and didn't want to dress again and move the luggage.We said to the manager hotels are busy at night, when guests are there to rest, and pay for that, so that's exactly when maintenance should be there . Really unforgivable

Generally, the service is friendly and efficient. The hotel staff are always happy to help and the cleaners do a great job of keeping the place sparkling clean. However, during my stay there was an accident with the plumbing system which meant the entire top floor (which included my room) became flooded with water very quickly; A potentially a dangerous situation. I wasn't very impressed with the reaction of the staff to this emergency. Clearly, their first priority should have been to ensure the safety of the Adagio's guests, but instead they seemed to be confused about what action to take. In end I had to take the initiative and evacuate myself from my room. Ultimately, the staff helped me moved me to another room and a few days later I received a letter apologising for the inconvenience. However, I was really more concerned about the danger this situation had exposed me to. My impression is that the staff don't have any training on what to do in such emergencies and I wonder what would happen if there was a fire in the hotel.

I have been several times in the hotel and I decide to bring a group of more than 20 Person to your hotel during the last week (Fronius). The payment process was full of misunderstanding, but I can imagine that some mistakes were coming also from "Fay passages" Agency. However following point are not acceptable, considering that between Ibis Budget, Ibis and Adagio, the last one supposed to be the best category. - Elevator Problems since many months! - Products missing during the breakfast, I must ask one and once again, sometimes without reaction. It is a business hotel, also people can't wait forever. - The amiability of Mr. Bruno in the reception could be much better. - The water running through the chamber took more than 3 days for some apartments. - Some colleagues called to reception to report the case, but nobody came to solve the problem. - ...

Overall Adagio Sao Bernardo is clean and run efficiently by the friendly staff. My only requests are that the gym space be made a little bigger with more good quality exercise equipment and that the laundry facilities need some improvement with better information on how to operate the machines and a better way to facilitate their use. Regarding the gym. The current space is too small and becomes uncomfortably crowded and hot (even with the AC on) with just three or four people exercising together. Although the existing bicycles, treadmills and leg press are OK, the multi-function single seat gym equipment is overly complex to use and of poor quality. These factors don't encourage people to make use of the facilities. With more space, less complex (multi-station or single use) exercise machines can be installed which means that more people can exercise simultaneously and with more comfort. Regarding the laundry facilities. These appear to be coin operated but, unfortunately, it's not clear what coins are needed and what is offered. But, more importantly, as there is always a shortage of coins in Brazil, it is difficult to make use of these facilities. A more convenient way to pay to use these machines could be via tokens or swipe card linked to the user's room number. With these improvements, I would not hesitate to return to this aparthotel regularly.

« Good location »

Good location, near a shopping mall and close to the main highway, so it is faster to get to the places you need, in São Bernardo or even in Santo André However, the lack of a restaurant and room service is a bit frustrating, since I arrived late at night and all I wanted to do was order a dish and eat inside my room. In my opinion it can be the perfect place if you look for a good night sleep. Not a place for those who enjoy comfort and hotel services.

« Very nice room with a great view, breakfast could do a bit better. »

Really liked the room and the possibility to be able to choose if I want be on one of the upper floors, or the lower ones. Was great to have a kitchenette as well. The only downside was the breakfast, the coffee machine didn't work and the offer was below my expectations. According to the room level I had I would have expected the breakfast to be better.

Room size and features are good. Staffs are courteous. Let me write the opportunities. A English newspaper delivered to room would help to know happening of the city, events and in general would give knowledge of the country. Breakfast spread is decent, but at least 25% change would make it interesting every day. Internet connection is room was poor, multiple requests to fix it did not help. Access to internet via laptop was good but it was not working via TV. Worse in my 2 weeks of stay hardly it worked for just 1 day. Lift is a big challenge - my fellow team members were put up in 16th floor and I was put up at 14th - only 1 lift would take me to 16th and obviously cant expect it to service me always, the right hand side lift would not take me to 16th..so better I used to work using the stairs. There is very limited information on tourist places and shopping centers available at the front desk. Typically in business hotels we used to have a office space with a photocopier, fax, system with internet facilities - imagine our challenge to access such facilities outside in a place where English is a challenge. Finally our stay was made very comfortable because of Adilson, an English speaking taxi service provider, he was very humanitarian, charges were very decent, helped us with purchase, food etc. I strongly recommend your management to utilize his services for international customers - he can be reached at 94…. Obviously this is my suggestion and let your management to take their own decision.
