The room was excellent, staff in diving room was excellent . But during our stay my husband went for a short walk after dinner , he took a wrong turn and got lost. He called the hotel to let me know that he was lost and couldn’t find a taxi but when he called in he was told by the woman on the front desk that they had no room 223, or M. registered, he then asked to contact our friends room and she would not contact them as it was late!!! When I came down to get help from the front desk to call hostpial or police as I had no idea what had happened this same woman quizzed me about if we had a Problem, perhaps he was sad?? Never mentioning he had called in!! I was distraught, finally while standing at the front desk he came in soaking wet as it was pouring out. We stood at the front desk and he said to the clerk that he had called to let me know and she said “ oh yes I got that call” this is unacceptable, she really wasn’t even sorry for her huge error in judgment

The confusion of hotel reservations that were not in your last name did not help to resolve the situation quickly. The most important thing is that it quickly got back to normal, and your husband was able to get warm when he came back. Our suite was comfortable and spacious, but could use better lighting in some areas, specifically an area that has a mirror close to an electrical outlet to plug in a hair dryer since there isn’t a plug in the bathroom where there is a mirror and good light.

Very stylish hotel, great location, friendly staff. Brasserie decor a bit too bright and canteen-like: didn’t do justice to very good food. Room very comfortable, but no fans in separate WC or bathroom. Possibly a bit preoccupied with visiting football team from Monaco. Overall good, but not great; so close to excellent; probably could achieve excellence. We compared this MGallery hotel to the MGallery hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, our other MGallery experience.

The suite was large but the view underwhelming. There was a weird smell in the corridor. The room key didn't work properly. We (2 people) only got one key! The restaurant was very expensive. The breakfast was simple and not very good.

« Lovely hotel but picked a bad time because of a major football match! »

Stopped off for an overnight on the way back to UK from Italy. Location and hotel really great but was suffering as a result of having AS Monaco staying - on arrival the entrance was taken over by security, team bus and fans waiting to see the team..... The whole town seemed overtaken by the football (accompanied by very heavy rain) and although we asked the hotel at 18:00 to book us a taxi for 19:15 to get to our dinner in town no taxi arrived and no alternative solution available!

Spent a night in The Citadelle Metz and was blown away with the courteous relaxed and professional service given by all the staff in this hotel. « Felt like a Prince on my arrival »

Pierre was the most welcoming first face in your hotel - he gave me all the information I might have wanted in a natural and un-rushed way - IF everybody was as good as Pierre then hotels would be perfection My room was clean and spacious and very well equipped. Huge bed which proved to be very comfortable and good night sleep was had. Breakfast was a relaxed affair with great ladies attending to everything I might have needed.

Only one night. We had to change from two nights to one night due to circumstances beyond our control - this change was very well managed. We had dinner in the gastronomic restaurant. Service was not good. While there was enough staff, attention was missing, we had to ask to get a menu and waited for two (!!!) hours to get our main course. Tendency to arrogance. The maitre d'hotel was obviously not on top of the situation. Totally overpriced. Service during breakfast next morning same behaviour, unfriendly not customer orientated. We will come back to the hotel since we stop frequently in Metz on our way from Frankfurt to Paris, but not go to the restaurant anymore.
