Pros - Friendly hotel staff - Great location - Excellent WIFI connection speed Cons - Dirty & possible blood stain on the bedsheet. Just right after I walked into my room 205. I planned to take some rest & noticed that the bedsheet is so dirty. Well, they did changed for me but honestly still not very clean. Imagine you are a well established hotel & not a motel. Hygiene is one of the ultimate goal to make sure your guests feel comfortable. - I booked a so called “Mountain View” room but could you imagine a big tree right in front of the window simply blocked away the Mountain View! - Poor breakfast varieties - Someone was allowed to smoke during the breakfast! That’s horrible scene! - My breakfast table was cleared twice in the roll even though I’ve yet to finish my breakfast. How this happened?? I was alone for breakfast, right after I stood up & walked to refill next round of breakfast. When I returned my table was cleared. Could you imagine my tea was still hot & I had placed my cutlery aside! This means I’m returning after refilling my food. Very poor staff training I suppose. I’m still ok for the 1st time, but again for the 2nd time Just after 10mins, the same thing happened again & worse is my place was then occupied by other guests! This seems that I’m not so welcome & the staff trying to chase me away from having breakfast. To be frank I’m very disappointed & frustrated! Feel free to trace the evidence from your Hotel CCTV if you able to.

The room and hotel ambient is good. Few suggestions below that might make it even better. 1. The breakfast might need to improve, could add more on the main dishes (beef or chicken and vegetables). 2. The room hot water is not working perfectly, we order 4 rooms, there are 3 rooms the hot water were not in good condition. We had relayed this info to Pak Deswin (OM) on 19 July 2019. « A hotel with very good location. »

We love the hotel's location, very closed to some attraction in Bukittinggi. The hotel has very nice architecture, Indonesian dishes during breakfast are very tasty, Coffee machine during breakfast is a big plus. Overall hotel's building needs further maintenance as it was not as 'crisp' as it is supposed to be, we have different expectation as the hotel carrying Novotel brand. Some of the tiles at restaurant area was peeled of and not replaced yet. My sister was stumbled on the peeled tiles during the breakfast. My bedsheet has 2 wide holes, and the towel was greyish even though they were still soft. Few cables behind the vanity mirror were feasible to our eyes. Understood the building is old, but surely better attention to details will lift up the charisma of the building.

« A lovely restful hotel »

I loved staying here and it was in a great location Some of the poolside beds only had one lounger next to a table and i think it best if each table has two loungers by it so me and my husband can sit together. Also the water at the gym ran out and was never replaced The breakfast was nice but we went for it at 9am and most things had ran out and weren't replaced (e.g. donuts, some pastries, meats). I expected that as it said breakfast didn't finish until 11 on weekends we should have been able to eat anything. There were also a lot of flies around and on some of the food
