« Family stay, great dinning on our 1st night not so on our 2nd. Nice staff and hotel overall. Nice clean room. »

We thought that the room, the buffet breakfast and the front desk staff were great. Our 1st night dinning was excellent with the tall female waitress making extra effort to make ours and especially our childrens dinner special. Our 2nd dinning experience with the male wait staff was very ordinary. They really couldn't care less about service and attending to us. Apart from that we thought it was a nice place to stay.

We were well greeted with a welcome drink, and the staff is very helpful, I knew indicate the good restaurant. The hotel is well located. The room is large and nicely decorated. It has parking. The breakfast is great, very varied. Only problem is the kids space located on the side of the restaurant with a lot of noise

Great welcome as a Rock n Roll participant. We arrived earlier than the check in times, and were still given a room right away. The hotel was super clean, and the staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was incredible!

The stay started well as we could park our car easily and check in with no hassle. The room was compact but had everything needed although a little dark due to small windows. However the big problem started after we are in the hotel restaurant. Shortly after my wife started vommiting and pretty soon she was paying on the floor shaking and sweating she then got so bad I had to ask reception to call a doctor who gave my wife a shot to stop the sickness. I had to clean up the vomit with towels and thank God for the laminate floor. The lady on reception called Veronica was a great help during this very distressing event,by helping me with the doctor and pharmacy etc. I of course spoke with the manager about this but he of course denied the hotel was at fault despite the doctors advice that it must have been what my wife ate that caused the sickness etc. He said he would assist us by doing something for us to help with the 150 euro we spent on the doctor but when we checked out nothing had been mentioned so we left and received an adjustment which I have yet to check exactly as I cannot open the attachment. We missed out on a whole day of sightseeing as my wife was so weak she only managed a short walk from the hotel the next day after her illness. I have cancelled our next reservation at the hotel as I am not happy with the response of the manager and we are staying elsewhere on our easy home.

Dear Sirs/Madames I would like to draw your attention to the extra ordinary service that I received from your front desk Employee, Sara, on 26th and 29th of April when I was staying at the Novotel Madrid Central. I have stayed in the hotel from 25th-29th of April, as part of a Marathon group. When I landed in Madrid, Spain, on 25th of April, my suitcase broke during the flight, and I have filed a complaint with Iberia service desk at the airport. They have advised me that they will send the replacement suitcase to my hotel, Novotel Madrid Central, within 24-48 hours. On 26th of April, the suitcase has not yet arrived, so I approached the service desk at the hotel for assistance in this matter. Sara manned the station, and was really happy to help. She was approachable and friendly, and called Iberia customer-service. They in turn advised her that the suitcase is indeed on the way and will be delivered in the next 24 hours. However, the suitcase has not arrived on the following day, and since my departure date was drawing near (29th of April), I have asked a (Spanish) friend to call them and find out what was going on. The Iberia customer service representative in this case was more thorough and said that the suitcase is not on its way, since I was supposed to select a replacement suitcase online, a fact unknown to me thus far. Unfortunately, all my attempts to select the suitcase online have failed. On the 29th of April, quite disappointed and despaired from the current situation, I have asked yet again the service desk at the hotel for help. Luckily, Sara was on duty again and was ready to help. I was first pleasantly surprised that she remembered me and my situation and on her initiative asked if I got my suitcase. When I explained the state of affair to Sara, she took it as her personal mission to call Iberia and resolve the situation on my behalf. Despite my limited understanding of Spanish, I was impressed with her patience and determination on the call with the Iberia customer-service. Since she dealt with me on the first call, she also recalled that they did not advise me on the action required on my behalf. Furthermore, she made it clear to them that this was a big mistake on their behalf that have adversely impacted my holiday, taking time and effort to deal with it and causing unnecessary stress. Finally, after resolving the call, Sara has spent more time making sure that indeed I can access the online site and choose a suitcase, closing the loop. Sara's actions exemplified to me a great dedication to good customer service; She owned the problem end to end, and has left me feeling empowered and in control. I would like to express my gratitude to her, and to highlight that she is an assest to your organisation. With many thanks Shira M..

Plus - Good city hotel. Reasonable size rooms and amenities. Lots of space for kids to play. Minus - breakfast is too busy. Parking is straight from hell... flawed design that makes it a nightmare to get in or out from.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I went straight to the desk stating 'online check in'. I was reprimanded by the assistant who informed me I should have queued, however it was the separate desk that made me believe I did not need to queue. This was not the best start to my stay. Remainder of staff were helpful, room was nice and breakfast amazing.
