We stayed with my wife a week in Rio. Hotel is conveniently located and provides all what a budget traveller needs. Breakfast was 10 out of 10. People was vert friendly and helpful. Metro station, Copacabana beach, churches are all in walking distance for any age.

People at the concierge were sometimes indeferent or rude to guests, maybe you can improve the security issue one of my nights there was a fight on the room next door, it was such a mess then this guys were trying so hard to get into our room, fortunately there was a lock but we couldnt sleep

The hotel is situated in a very nice area close to restaurants, pubs and the beach. The breakfast served is also very nice and great value for money. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. we really enjoyed our stay!

We initially had a few issues since we required a baby crib and a bath tub for our baby (I had called beforehand to see whether these items were available), and when we got to the hotel the front desk staff gave us a room that was not clean (no bed sheets, everything was disorganized). However, the staff from stewardesses to the front desk was very helpful and prompt in solving the problem. Talking about service recovery!

In general, we had a good experience. Most staff were very good. The breakfast was amazing and very good location. Though, we arrived at 7am and asked for an early check in (even pay for that) They said it was not possible at the moment because the cleaners were not there. They said we maybe could have a room around 10am. We stayed at the breakfast area and it was definitely not busy. We just got a room at 12:00 and it was DIRTY!!!! They changed us to another room and it was smelling like it was cleaned with dirty cloth. They sent the housekeeping supervisor to fix it quick, but it was not a good impression, specially after a 14h long flight!! Just some small details, as having a clean room after a long flight and waiting for a room for 5hs, would be good. But is still a good place to stay apart from this bad experience.

We choose this hotel on Saturday due to work meeting and its location near to Duque de Caxias city. Novotel Porto Atlântico is great for business stays. The breakfast rate is fair with good variates among American, continental and Brazilian dishes. I´ve been there on 2016 Olympic Games with my family. Although it´s near from downtown and its attratcions (City Aquarium, several museums and historical sites) and 2 min walking distance from tram, I recommend only for business stays.

Room wasn't well laid out - UBS charging ports should have been on the night stand - There was mold on the ceiling in the room and the bathroom. I tried to explain that to the front desk but they didn't understand. Although I appreciated the youthful staff at the front desk, there needs to be a well knowledgeable and experienced person on every shift. Activities in the area were not well communicated. I just happened to look on the front desk as see a list of the various parades in the area (it was carnival time and I would have appreciated that info on day one instead of day 4). The location was ideal. Thought it was a bit pricey for what the property had to or didn't have to offer (no swiming pool)

Location very close to subway and beach... easy to go anywere in Rio. A Lot of restaurantes and bars close. There is also a supermarket on back street. Take the oportunity to visit the storic bar "BIP BIP", 2 blocks away only...
