« Dissatisfied service very slow »

Service very slow - esp check in for half and hour; staff not friendly; room also run down not much maintenance, smelly; i left my things on the check in counter also did not proactive send to my room. overall bad experience. Did not upgrade my status membership as i am stay there frequently.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Ideal location. The bell boys are excellent, good service and great personality. It's easy to find parking whether drop-off, street parking or secure parking. Beautiful Seaview from our room. Spacious room even with a small living, kitchen and basic facilities attached. Only if the hotel were to install a small shelf/place for soup in the shower, that'd be perfect.

Overall the hotel is great, location is superb as it's a walking distance to the jetty, morning markets, food area and malls. The view on the top cafe Compass is great don't miss it tho it's blocked by a building.But more attention to details will be great. As a hotelier and in training, I tend to look into small areas. Check in and out is smooth and would said great Not sure if those who open the doors are from FO or Security but most of the time and not ready to open the door Room- is fresh and well kept. I would said help team did a good job however, the kettle has remaining water in there since Sat till Mon. And stain on sheets. Cafe- lots of varieties however some of the hot food is not hot and either taste too mild or salty. Service staff could be more sincere in their service to local guests too.

Stay was hassle free. Staff were helpful and friendly. Cleaning staff do an amazing job. Rooms are comfortable, and communal areas such as pool and gym are good

You didn't give us sea view room even we paid for sea view room when we booked. I requested of honeymoon decorations, but it does not have any. The room is very dirty, sofa and wall and floor has stain, it seem haven't been ready before give the room to client. It ruin our honey moon trip. I have picture if you need Even worse, my wife saw cockroach in bathroom on third day morning . I don't think this meet a 4 stars hotel's standard and this is unacceptable. I haven to shorten this booking with no choice, I will rather choose another hotel.

This is my second time at Mercure Hotel and as usual, the reception, the room, etc. was good. However, I noticed that there was constant noise coming from the top of room which sounded a lot like water running through the pipes - should probably check that out to ensure a comfortable stay for the rest of your guests. Other than that, keep up the good work Mercure.

« Changed my mind about mercure hotels. »

Room was on the 8th floor. The window view was to a water tank located right outside the window. Room smelled old, mold in the bathroom. Room very loud due to staff room next door, who were loud and the wakies were on all night with realy loud voice setting. The hall was painted overnight which ment that the painting fumes were all over the place, not smart when some guests have asthma. Overall, room horrible and hotel dated. Painting the hall while people are staying in the rooms next to is is pure dangerous.

« not very happy with the service »

1) the hotel card doesn't work in the lift and we (family of old ppl and babies) have to walk out of the lift and back to the counter twice until the card finally works and brought us to our floor. 2) we stayed in 2 bedroom suite so obviously we have 4 ppl. but reception only gave us 1 card. This is not convenient to us so our grandparents went to ask for another card. After obtaining the card, our grandparents said the card doesn't work in the lift even though they went back to the counter twice. 3) extra bed took more than 1 hour to arrive, after calling the reception twice to remind. During check in at the reception, I asked them whether the extra bed is already in the room, since I have told them about it 1 month ago. they said yes, the extra bed is already in there. It turned out that there was no extra bed in the room. The housekeeping never picked up our call.

« Poor Sound Proof »

I was kept awake the entire night due to very poor sound proofing. I could hear door slamming and guests talking even during wee hours of the night. It was terrible experience as I needed a good night sleep

I’ve booked my room direct at your hotel website and received confirmation at least 3 days prior arrival. When I arrived hotel at 8pm to check in and my booking was not located. Took me 20minute to get into my room and although the room was upgraded for my less than 9hours stay. Sound proof of the room was very bad, I can hear the toilet flashing and even a switch on and off from next door. In additional, there seems to be no way to call the hotel, there is a phone number (mobile) listed at hotel website but it never able to call. What’s the point having a phone number but guest can never reach out? I find it weird that is not a land line anyway!
