« Good airport hotel »

Airport hotels, as the name suggests, are mainly for breaks in air journeys. Ibis BNE is located near the domestic terminal - probably about an 800 metre walk? It is not an elaborate hotel: the rooms are simply decorated but with fairly spectacular views of the airport and environs. It is a welcome stop while travelling with all that is needed for a short stay: a bed, a reasonably good and reasonably priced restaurant, and close access to the Airtrain if you do need to go into the city. It is also usually quite good value for money. The windows do not open - thick glazing keeps the sounds out and I usually get a good nights sleep here.

Clean, quite and close to the International Terminal. Great breakfast and easy check in/out. The staff was excellent and very willing to assist in any way they could. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Just like to let you guys know you should wash your exterior windows. It was near impossible to see through them as it was covered with so much DIRT and GRIME. If you go to one of the rooms during sunrise facing towards domestic terminal, you will see it is hard to see through.

Air con was set at 19. Way too cold. Why do hotels do this must cost a fortune in electricityunneccarily.7 minute walk from domestic terminal is a joke- more like 20. Map of directions supplied was hopeless.

I was able to leave my luggage before check in and travel into the city for the day. With a 5 minute walk to the airport at 5.00am what more can you want.

From the moment I arrived, with a bit of uncertainty due to a sudden change in itinerary, the front desk clerks were kind, helpful and informative. We stayed one night at the Airport Ibis before flying overseas. The room had everything you need for a short stay. Quiet room with Comfy bed. Great hot shower with good water pressure, lots of towels and toiletries, tea, coffee making facilities. Staff at check in were super friendly and efficiently assisted us book an early morning shuttle. We also had dinner in the casual restaurant. It was a good standard and reasonably priced. All in all a pleasant stay. We’ve stayed at nearby, more expensive properties in the past but it’ll be Ibis from now on.

Seamless Check In, rooms are clean and adequate. Beds are OK certainly not the best I've slept in however they are adequate. The one thing I have noticed on previous days are that the windows of the building are always dirty. I have no doubt the construction of the new runway has a lot to do with this however detracts from the well-maintained internals. Meals within the restaurant are quite good and are of reasonable price. Barista Coffee is readily available in Australia today. I have a machine on my Kitchen Bench at home. This coffee was not offered at breakfast and I had to ask for it at extra cost. To enhance the breakfast experience I would suggest this is made available (communicated at breakfast reception) at reasonable cost (not 5 – 6 dollars per Cup) and patrons would be pleased to have a coffee made for them. The possibility of a good automatic machine may be an option however in my opinion never as good as a manual system unless it is a well-maintained high-quality automatic machine.
